My first impression of the Skinpossible was that the clinic looked a lot more like a spa than anything else. This surprised me as I've been to a spa before, in fact that's where my last laser treatments had been but Skinpossible looked more like a spa, than an actual spa did! The consultation I had was much more informative and thorough than what I'd had before. The technician went over all the pre and post care in great detail. I also felt there was a lot less pressure to buy as I was taken into a nice consultation room to talk about everything first, which made it more comfortable and easier to walk away if I changed my mind for any reason. At the other place I'd gone to previously, they did a quick consult in the actual treatment room while setting up for my treatment and I don't even remember seeing any photos or other information before starting. I definitely felt more informed about what I was about do have done when I was at Skinpossible. The technician I had who also did my consultation was very friendly and talked me through the entire process, she made the effort to chat me up and talk to me during my treatment which made me feel comfortable and also distracted me from the discomfort of the treatment. The discomfort during my treatment was pretty minimal compared to my previous treatments and I'd attribute a lot of that to the cold air being used along with the Pico which I never had before. It helped a lot! My technician did a great job and made sure my bandage was tapped down properly so it would stay on for the full 24 hours. The last place I'd had treatment didn't even tell me how long the bandage was supposed to be on for. I can honestly say the single treatment I had with the Picosure laser gave me more fading in my tattoo than all the Q-switch treatments I had put together. Especially the areas of my tattoo where the ink was green, I had substantially more fading from the Pico, which hardly budged at all with the 3 Q-switch treatments I'd previously had. The healing after my Picosure treatment was also much faster, I was able to get back to my daily routine like going to the gym. With my previous Q-switch treatments I had to post pone going back to the gym for several days after while I was still healing. It took a lot longer and was much more painful in the meantime. All in all I had a better experience, better process, better consultation, better healing and better results! I can honestly say even if the results had been the same in terms of fading my tattoo, I'd still choose the Picosure and Skinpossible over other options because everything else was that much better. It was like night and day!"

She did not promise me they would all be gone, and went into some detail about what the treatment could and could not do. Her honesty and caution were the biggest reasons I went with Skinpossible, after consulting with 3 other skin care salons whose promises seemed over the top. . However, after having received 4 out of 5 treatments, I have to say that it has been a total waste of $2000. There was a very slight improvement after the first treatment but absolutely nothing noticeable after the subsequent three. The fact that my skin is over 60 is certainly a significant factor, but I have serious doubts that even a younger person would have had good results with this treatment. If your budget doesn't matter to you, go ahead. But best to head into something like this realistically.

Last month I had a horrific experience at Dermapure Chaparral that left me with severe damage to…read moremy face. I had fillers done, and within hours, my face was swollen, painful, infected, and bumps and nodules all over. it was severe enough that I had to go to ER. not only had the filler migrated, hence the lumps, but there was also nerve damage from it being incorrectly injected into nerves. This is called necrosis-yes, skin death. When I informed the Dermapure Chapparal office, I was told the nurse injector, the doctor and the manager were all off. I didn't hear from anyone till 2 days later. Their fix" was to attempt to dissolve the lumps, inserting a needle into infected and painful areas with no numbing. This painful procedure did nothing to reduce the lumps or infection. I have attempted to get my money back, and money to pay for medications and plastic surgery costs, a minimal amount rather than go to litigation, but other than one contact with her, the Dermapure Calgary regional director chose to ignore my attempts to resolve the issue. Clearly, the company does not care about the damage they caused, nor accept any responsibility. Dermapure showed earnings in 2023 of $2,000,000 to $10,000,000 per location annually, professes to care about people, yet will not even address an issue of botching someone's face to the point of them requiring plastic surgery. You decide if this is a risk you're willing to take.
