I'm not joking, I heard someone did once from the "Trevor" ( a chocolate stoute cake). Ok I might be kidding but his stuff is really good! He has a home based cottage food baking business, which basically means he works out of his home and you call and make an order and then BAM you get it. He is very easy to work with and if you have an allergy (talking to you peanut people) he is able to accommodate and work with you so you don't have some crazy reaction and loose a foot. Once your order is complete he then is only allowed to have pickup, retail sales at locations or provide limited delivery only in Columbus. Who knows how old this Cottage rule is but someone has to follow it. Enough about him and his place of business lets talk about the goods the baked goods that is. My wife and I have tried pretty much everything he has made, we are the go to guinea pigs. My favorite, the good ol "Standard" Chocolate Chip Cookie as he calls is. It is a huge cookie, I would say a little larger and a lot thicker than a CD/DVD. The large chunks of chocolate chips are out of this world. He adds a pinch of sea salt to the top of the cookie, it makes everything in the cookie that much better tasting but it gives a visual appeal of pure greatness too! The cookie is at just the right moisture, so it bends when you bite into it and is still soft. AWESOME-SAUCE! He has all kinds of goodies some examples are Chocolate-Lavendar Cake, Chocolate-Cinnamon Mustache Sandwich Cookies with Nutella Filling, Pistachio & Lavender Chocolate Toffee, Ligurian Olive Oil, Lemon & Raspberry Cake. These are some of the items he had at his pop-up at the Old Familiar Barber Shop (which is also a great place). Onto price... The cookies (mentioned above) are $2.50 each or for you math whizzes $30/dozen. Hell he might even make is a baker's dozen, who knows? One might say that's too expensive for a cookie, listen here you- you Debbie downer, it is an amazing cookie and is made from scratch, everything is made from scratch. With high quality ingredients. It is just like anything in life, you pay what you get for. So for a gourmet cookie and other desserts, the price is spot on maybe even a little cheap. I couldn't be more impressed with these amazing baked goods and other savory fares.

I bought a loaf of her sourdough bread and she also gave me a sample of the sourdough starter. She was very helpful in explaining what to do to make your own bread at home. When I got home, I tried the sourdough bread and it was delicious. I've made grilled cheese with it and it was very good. And, the next morning we toasted it with our eggs. This bread is well worth the $10 cost. She has an extensive website of items that she makes each week and you can order them through the website and pick them up at her farm stand at her house. In addition to the large table top dinos, the friendly owner had a basket of small ones that she immediately offered to him to let him choose one to keep. Naturally, we also had to pick up a treat while we were there, and he opted for an orange creamsicle cupcake. It was quite tasty, with a good texture and a distinct orange flavor. The baked goods were all gluten free and there were a lot of great options: additional flavors of cupcakes, waffles, breads, cookies, and more. We would certainly pick up some more again in the future. The creative booth decorations were a great idea too!

I had an orange creamsicle cupcake, which is a very underrated flavor IMO. The cake itself is on the drier side (I assume this is the gluten free ingredients), and had the right balance of frosting for me. I really enjoyed the flavor. I also purchased a 6-pack of personal sized pizza crusts. Because I dropped them and broke the whole package on the way home, I have been making flatbread with Italian seasoning and olive oil, and I really like this! They're a great size for pizza or for making salad scoopers and I will purchase again. The shop also has different flavors of waffles, including savory varieties. I might pick up some of those to make chicken and waffles!

The crust reminded me of a linzer torte crust from back in Germany which is made out of ground hazelnuts and no flour, this was very similar, very different from your run of the mill pie crust which I am not a fan of anyways. With the older building setting and the fancy desserts, not really the neighborhood bakery of old, but good try. Both the brownie and the cookie were good, and we did enjoy the revised brownie recipe. FYI Their booth is located off of the main drag in the winter market at Worthington - if you enter the doors from the south side, make sure you go down the left hallway when you reach the fountain in order to find them, past the booth for The Little Dot. I got blueberry and cinnamon biscuits, being vegetarian I couldn't have the sandwich options but loved seeing them. Gotta say, loved them both but the cinnamon was definitely my favorite. I think a non gluten-free eater wouldn't even notice a difference. I will definitely get them again, I see I can order them on delivery apps too.
