He was quick to respond and asked good questions about the situation so that he would be prepared. He was able to come out the same day and constructed a custom trapping platform on our garage for the racoons. When we discovered that there was an additional racoon family member, he came back to our place quickly and set up additional traps. He charged us a flat fee for the racoons removal and did not ask for additional payments, even when there were more animals than we realized. He also made sure to cover up the opening in our garage afterwards so that future animals would not be able to access the area. We also appreciate that he does not euthanize the animals he traps, and has access to land in Hastings where he can legally release them. Overall we were really impressed with his service and willingness to be flexible as the situation played out. Some of these services also took place over the weekend, and we appreciated that has was available during these non-standard work hours to make sure the animals were safely relocated.

I think the timeline will illustrate why Nick is going to be my go-to guy any time I have an issue…read morewith critters sneaking into my house and why I think he should be yours. Sunday I noticed that I had a plump squirrel with a mouthful of debris running on the power line into my house and running along the 3rd floor catwalk and into some corner of my house. Monday I call 4 different companies. Nick was one of them, he answers his phone and lets me know he can come inspect on Monday, and tells me his rates. Based on his all 5-star ratings, I call him back and we agreed on a time. Tuesday, morning Nick comes to my house at the agreed time. He does the inspection and determines there are a couple of possible entry points. Based on this he lets me know that he could come later in the day with the appropriate traps and equipment. Tuesday afternoon, Nick & son arrives and he sets up his ladders and starts addressing the entry points. Within minutes, he finds the entry point into our roof. And he finds the squirrel and its babies! The squirrel gets away. Nick addresses the potential entry points, and based on his experience, sets a trap for the squirrel by the entry point for its nest and a remote camera. Nick packs up to go and starts driving away. Within minutes, Nick sees on his remote camera that the squirrel is in the trap. Job done! I appreciated Nick's up-front clarity of his pricing, the odds of successfully trapping the critter, and his regular communication. through the process. I will definitely use him again and I think you will be happy if you use him too.

Buyer beware. Used Valor as a local, rather than a national…read morecompany. Their first service with us was pretty good to remove squirrel(s) doing damage. Up to 5-days of service. Note the UP TO. Now in spring, planning repairs and wanted to try to ensure the rodent problem was over. Signed up for a 2nd look. Squirrel environment drastically changed since first service, two wooded lots now have homes, neighbors have done some heavy tree trimming. Same 5 days of monitoring. Camera set up late afternoon on Monday, expecting monitoring until Friday, or Saturday with late Monday start. Got couple of email notes, no activity on camera. Tuesday was rain day, squirrels were staying home. Valor was out at 8 am Thursday and pulled the camera and noted they found nothing, ending service in an email. Only 2 1/2 days of service. There was no call or contact with us saying they were cutting service prior to Friday / Saturday afternoon - 5 days. Called Valor to ask why pulled early. Said they saw nothing, pulled it early. First service squirrels were caught on 3rd and 5th days. Asked if we'd get a pro rated refund for the 2 days not serviced. They said no. They BOOKED BILL like auto shops or plumbers/electricians - set price no matter how fast they complete the job. They got their full payment and make extra money by moving on to next job early. But with those other folks, their work is completed. Valor said they knew it was done. Guess they talked with the squirrels and got a written agreement. Major takeaway is Valor's determination of end of service when they think so, not any kind of duration of service. They claim the 5 days is an UP TO approximation, they really determine the end, and in our experience, with no prior contact with the customer. Only an email saying they pulled the equipment. We will never use them again, nor would we recommend their services with that kind of business / customer service. We'll just go national next time.

Since swarming wasps had become a significant issue, I wanted someone to effectively handle the situation. I ended up with a Rainbow trifecta. Pest control successfully resolved the problem last season. It took several visits (returns dealing with the same trouble are free) but eventually the wasps were completely eliminated. Unfortunately the wasps were back again this year, although in a different location. I called Rainbow and was scheduled for a treatment by one of their technicians. This time I hope to be proactive to prevent a recurrence next year. In any case, I found them to be prompt in their correspondence, effective in their services and reasonable in their prices. Not bad in my opinion.
