Eric, the owner, showed up promptly, did a thorough review, and ended up recommending that since we had CPVC, to leave well-enough alone! He assured my wife and I that the condition of our pipes was good, they were well insulated with attic insulation, and tucked away to where they would suffer no damage by someone walking over them and breaking them, etc. I was fully prepared to have the replacement done, but his recommendation not to spend the money needlessly gave us great reassurance. Who does that these days - talk a potential customer out of spending money?! Wow, such honesty - salt of the earth stuff! Hugely impressed; we think we have found our go-to plumber. Please patronize this family business - when most are either going under, or getting swallowed by nameless/faceless/greedy mega -corporations. Guys showed up 1.5 hrs late. I clearly communicated that it would be 2 electric water heaters. They showed up without the right equipment to do the job, stated they could only do one that day. then tried to upsell me on getting it done by saying that they would charge me the same price for just putting it in place a taking the old one away. What a rip off. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

At the recommendation of others in the neighborhood, I called Bear's Plumbing to come out a fix a big problem with work done by another plumber. They scheduled a service call within a couple of days. When they arrive they quoted a very reasonable price and deducted the very reasonable $75 trip charge from the invoice total. The plumber was very courteous, quickly assessed the problem and fixed the other plumbers mistakes. I would recommend Bear's plumbing to anyone in the area. At last I feel like I have found a reliable plumber who is reasonably priced and is looking for loyal repeat business and not a price gouging ripoff like so many others with the fancy looking trucks and television ads. read more

Absolutely five stars. Pricing was fair for a few miscellaneous plumbing jobs we had in our house in Cypress we were renovating. Beyond that, we had a mystery spot in the ceiling where someone obviously had stepped through the sheetrock and no one was claiming. I called Bears and spoke with Eric about who talked to his team who didn't do it. I figured out it was another sub after some detective work, but Eric reached out to us several times offering referrals to his sheetrock guy... always with the spirit of responsibility and good faith that they would take it on as needed and not leave us high and dry. They came out to the house to fix a toiler roughly 5-6 weeks after fixing one before. Same two guys and we get a quote significantly higher than the time before. When I call them on it the price starts falling, but is still $30 higher than a few weeks before. Sorry guys, but I am self-employed and not guaranteed a thing so when you do this to me and I have to pay you a $75 trip fee for being in our house for less than 5 minutes that doesn't sit too well. read more

Tried to fix a running toilet myself and failed. I contacted Bear's Plumbing to help me and they worked me into the schedule the same day. The guys who come out are so sweet and polite and they remember me if they have worked on my house before. They fully explain everything they are doing and why. I trust them 100% so they really don't have to explain anything to me. I wouldn't want any other plumbing company. Yes, we may pay a little more than other companies, but you get what you pay for! They stand behind EVERYTHING they do, they are local and family-owned, and their customer service can't be beat. When you are a repeat customer, they know your home, your preferences, and they treat your home as well as their own and leave their work area as clean if not CLEANER than it was when they came in. Referred by my parents as Bear Plumbing assisted with a master bath remodel at their home. I called as I found a leak in the water supply line from the meter to the house. They came out, advised a base price and the what ifs as they explored the problem. It turned out to be a small crack and $250 bill. They even cleaned up. They work all over Houston. 3/16/2018: Horrible first experience with this company. After waiting two days for my service apt to arrive - they canceled my Friday afternoon apt leaving me hanging without a kitchen sink through the weekend until they could reschedule me for the following Tuesday. I will never use them. Worst customer service ever. My husband called RotoRooter who rescued us and arrived within 2 hours. Bear Plumbing is excellent!! I had a stopped up toilet (sewer line). I used another plumbing company a week before which cost me $469 and did not fix the issue.
