If you're looking for the best IPA in Nashville on tap route locally and want to cool off in a brewery room this is a place to come. Service is excellent and the IPA is remarkable, mild bitter upfront, immediately disappears and leaves your mouth clean and dying for another drink. Plenty of seating and parking inside and outside. Big screen to watch the game and one pool table. Enjoy!
Huge brewery! Plenty of seats. They even have a pool table you can play for free. Family friendly and dog friendly too. Bartender was great! Pep Talk was recommended and my husband said it was really good.
Quality/Quantity - The best breweries are the ones that do not sell food. But they did have a food truck. What a great find. My daughter tricked me into coming here because she wanted boba from Ying Yang Tea, see other review. Decided on the Dreams of Tomorrow - A different unique sea salt and oyster beer. You just have to try it. Atmosphere - What a cool spot. Shot some billiards and drank beer, like I was at home. Oh, no cost to play. :) Also, I am not as good as I used to be, getting old... Indoor and outdoor seating, see pictures. Evenly divided today with the patrons. Cool antique bar, sorry, there were too many people so I was not able to take a good picture. Even the bathrooms had an antique theme. See pictures. Service - 5 stars, friendly and inviting. Price - $7 a beer + generous tips. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2016 here and with your two locations.
This place is phenomenal! Between the amazing selection of fresh drinks and amazing Cabin Attic burgers, this is a great environment to hang with friends. They have indoor and outdoor seating, so it's great for any crowd. Bearded Iris Brewing gives a local feel, for being in a city! If you try the Cabin Attic food truck you HAVE to get the surf shack style fries. Amazing!
This might be the best all-round brewery in Nashville. While it's not the best in ambiance (that would be Monday Night or Fait), nor the best in beer quality (that would be Smith & Lentz or Barrique), or service (that would be Jackalope)...it's just very above average on every one of these aspects. It feels more like a brewer's brewery than most places in town. It's in an industrial part of town and it's in a big boxy warehouse building. On my unofficial ranking scale of the culture of their beer with a 1 being most traditional and a 10 being marshmallow-aged IPA milk sours: I would give this place a 6! They play it safe but aren't afraid to get a little innovative. The ambiance is like a factory that's been converted into your grandfather's rustic library. My only regret is that this was my last stop and I didn't get to sample more of their beers. I was in Nashville for Taylor Swift and I saw a few people IN THE CONCERT with cans of it but... I have no idea where they got them!
Cool brewery In Nashville. I had to stop in because we don't see much Bearded Iris in KC. The tap room is huge! There's plenty of seating and they even have a large patio. Dogs are welcome and I was happy to see some puppers since I was missing mine. The staff were also friendly and helpful. There is a food truck outside but I didn't hit that up. It's a great option though and if I hadn't already had food plans, I would've given it a try because the food looked pretty good. They don't do flights but you can get half pours. Which we did because we wanted to try everything. They have a wide variety of beers that span several styles. I would say they are above average and I'd definitely go back. I really enjoyed the oyster porter.
Very glad we checked this place out. Popped in to have a couple of beers after dinner with friends and it was the perfect place. Plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of beer options to choose from.
Hey! Another great brewery in Nashville! We Ubered here after delicious burgers at Joyland. We arrived right at opening and got dibs on their pool table. We ordered their flagship ipa which was pretty good. We then had 10oz pours of a few more, played a few 9 ball sets and walked all the way back to our hotel a little off Broadway. Super nice people here, great beer a must visit place! Cheers!
Bearded Iris seems to be a pretty well established brewery in Nashville. I feel fortunate to have tried one of their beers but I wish that the beer drinking experience would have been just a bit more memorable. And that unfortunately is so often the case with my beer drinking experiences if the beer I'm drinking is going to be memorable or not. I'm looking for something out of the ordinary and all too often it's just a blur where determining what beer from where gets to be hard to sort out. Good thing I keep notes on Untapped. The Scatterbrain IPA ... and in my case the Double Scatterbrain has several different versions and in my case it was the citra version. This is by no means a poorly made beer. It meets all of the basic criteria for this IPA style but as I say time and time again I need something memorable to go off of to issue more stars.
Absolutely amazing brewery for the hop head or causal IPA lover. The outdoor area is solid for those cool summer nights and the indoor main brewing and seating area keeps the AC cranking and the beer flowing. I went with the Homestyle IPA. This was a very smooth IPA, with none of the bitterness that a lot of IPAs seem to have lately. I normally drink pales or blondes and this beer fit perfectly with my current beer palate. They do sell cans of beer to go and from what I saw they don't sell food. I really loved the vibe here and the benches against the wall were super comfy. The bartender (Molly) seemed to be having a bad day, but she was still very helpful with her suggestions and knowledge. I will definitely be back!
Was in Germantown for lunch and realized this brewery was in walking distance. Although we walked, the brewery had a large parking lot. When walking up, there was a food truck in the lot, which is a great food option! The inside was spacious and kind of overwhelming, but it was lively with people. I really enjoyed my IPA.
Don't judge my pictures. I wanted to spend some time sampling these beer, but I didn't have time. So I grabbed a fruited sour and hit the road. Definitely look forward to going back to get a few from the tap.

This s*** slaps! The African Queen is amazing. Definitely a 5-star beer, probably the best beer I've ever had. Golden. Delicious. DIPA. Wow guys... If I could get this all year long, my liver would poke out and wave a white flag. You all need this beer. Please do yourself a favor! read more
Bearded Iris Homestyle has been one of my favorites for a while, so when your hotel is less than a mile away, what's a man to do? I've always wanted to visit this brewery, and let me tell you, it's an IPA lovers Mecca! I tried two beers on my first visit, Chief of Chief's and Beyond. Both are Double IPA's and did not disappoint. The inside was decent but still COVID distanced and the bar seating was still not back. If you want to be outside they have a very nice deck with plenty of seating. Bearded Iris does not offer food (always stick with what you know!) but they will give you a variety of menus to order delivery if you can't figure out how to order from this app or GrubHub. if you're one of those people, you're probably not reading this damn review I have slaved over for minutes! Ok, if you're in Smashville and like to check out breweries, Bearded Iris needs to be your first stop! read more

Enjoyed the beers and the food truck was delish- had the best smash burger! The beer menu was heavy with IPA- brews. Pretty limited in other beer styles- but tasty. The location is in an industrial area that is much in need of a smooth paved road! Picnic tables with umbrellas outside - dog friendly. read more
HAZY IPAs EXIST IN TENNESSEE get your hazy taste buds ready. BLIND TASTE TASTE If i close my eyes, I could have sworn I was drinking a beer from Other Half. bearded iris has perfected that double dry hop (DDH) taste and expertly blended that with their own hop blend to give the world their own flavor profile. Nashville?? I was starting to think I could ONLY get my hazy ipa fix from NE-states (vermont, RI, Maine, etc.), Cali, and my hometown Long Island/ NYC-area. I was wrong. EVERYTHING Is Good??? I sampled almost everything. Everything. Fantastic. Thank you Bearded Iris. Recommended: everything COVID Home Version: I've started to see some of their stuff in NYC beer stores, so it looks like they're expanding their national distribution. Swipe a pack if you see one! Enjoy! read more
Bearded Iris was near the top of the Fella's list to visit during our short visit to Nashville. It made its way on to our itinerary for the last thing to do on our way out of town. The hardest part was having to wait until they opened for the day! We drove up, and it is in a more industrial part of town. Walking in, you make your way through their patio/beer garden area, which is lovely. Walking inside was a strange delight. First you are immediately overwhelmed with the smell of cooking hops. It is pervasive. You'll get used to it within a few minutes, but it is a smack in the face when you walk in. But hey, if you like hoppy beers...you'll be in hop heaven. The space itself is charming. About 3/4 of the indoor space is dedicated to the brewing, cooking and storage and looks like a typical brewery set up. The last 1/4 is the bar and tasting room, which is all dark wood and cool art. The dichotomy was appealing immediately when you walk in to see the tanks and a fancy chandelier. It made me smile. None of the beers really appealed to me...I'm just not an IPA gal. So i just happily sipped my coke. The Fella let me try his V. Latte: Los Vascos and it was pretty ok. A couple sips is really I could handle. He also bought a four pack of the Mood Ring and we cracked it open last night to try. It is probably the best DIPA that I have ever had (for my personal taste preferences). The bartender was very friendly, and it tickled me that he was wearing at shirt from a brewery from our hometown. It was a lovely, short visit. The beers weren't to my taste, but that doesn't mean they make bad brews. Certainly worth a visit if you have the time and desire. read more
I made 2 trips to Nashville in 2020- on my first one over the summer, we had Bearded Iris on the list of places to check out, but unfortunately weren't able to make it over there (and I later found out that they hadn't re-opened yet). I returned to music city in the fall and was delighted to find that they had reopened and that it was near my hotel, so I decided to stop in for a visit! Weather permitting, they have a nice outdoor seating area with tables and umbrellas- sensible system, if the umbrella is open, grab a seat. If not, closer for social distancing. Bearded Iris means business when it comes to keeping their staff and employees safe. Clear one-way traffic patterns to prevent congestion, mask on during staff interactions (even while seated) and enforcing their max capacity. Of course the beer is good too, I took 2 four-packs with me back to New Jersey! read more

I went with some friends to get drinks. The area is great, but the staff did some a bit overwhelmed and it took us a minute for them to seat us after they called us and told us our table was ready. But once we got our table, the service was good and quick! read more

Bearded Iris is one of the best breweries in Nashville and it's a blast that it's right in our backyard. We've been coming here for a few years now and it's always a great time. The beer is amazing and they make fantastic IPAs (particularly hazy IPAs), sours, and barrel-aged stouts. Their anniversary party each February is a blast and is one of our favorite events each year. The staff are great too and they really love what they do here. They're still carryout or delivery only due to COVID, but it's still worth it to grab some of their fantastic brews! read more

Bearded Iris is the definition of a hippity hip place in all of the land. We waited in line and enjoyed the prohibition style tap room. The beer offerings were all excellent. The moon dust stout was a rare sighting from their wheelhouse of hazy IPAs. They have Mario cart and billiards in addition to the dozen or so tables inside. No food but the place was getting catered left and right. Busy Saturday night and the service was keeping things moving. The patio was nice and being a rare 60 degree December day we deemed it less noisy as well. Great energy and beers! read more

I visit this location anytime I'm in Nashville. The beers are great and service is as well. The staff are friendly and they have a beautiful, large patio area to sit outside on when it's nice. They also added a food service outside with smash burgers. The burgers were amazing and I got a ton of hand cut, well seasoned fries. read more
Honestly every beer here is delicious. It's a super cool vibe also. Ive done business meetings, privately worked, and done happy hour. My favorite is still homestyle.Monday nights are chills Friday night is packed! Great after work vibes. I highly recommend. read more
A total gem here in Nashville. Well worth the trip here. A great selection of craft beers, ciders and seltzers. The atmosphere is so cool like and old hidden speakeasy. The staff are knowledgeable and very cool. We will be back !!! read more
1940's parlor vibes with a wide selection of drafts. I had a Paloma slushy which was incredible, but not for the faint of heart. I LOVE grapefruit and somehow this tasted more grapefruity than an actual grapefruit - which I loved! My boyfriend got an IPA that he enjoyed while we played pool. Great place to hang out and grab a pint with friends. read more

Bearded Iris is 100% rock n' roll - if the Ramones owned a Brewery it would look and feel like this. Located in The East Germantown Neighborhood of Nashville, this place is busy and stays busy. Part of that is because Nashville is a big place with lots of locals and tourists and also because these guys make very good beer. Some quick things to know: The menu here is heavy on the IPAs. The parking lot fills up quickly but there's plenty of street parking. They will check your ID even if you're 90, so don't be offended. Real Estate at the bar is hard to come by, so if you want some and see some, grab it. No flights here. My visit there was a single line to the right of the bar. Multiple Bartenders were checking IDs and taking orders. If you're looking for variety here, do like I did and get a few half pours - they will also give you tastes. The taproom is cavernous and faces the big beautiful shiny production tanks. The music is loud, the people are cool and the artwork is badass. Love the big portrait of Louis Pasteur, who could easily be mistaken for Sigmund Freud. Outside there are several covered picnic tables if you can take the brutal heat! I had three half pours - Homestyle, one of their flagship IPAs was my favorite - clean, fruity, delicious - followed by the DDH version of Chief of Chiefs - dry, smooth, grapefruit. Would put this up there as one of the top three breweries in Nashville! read more
We love this brewery! Randomly stumbled across this place in what feels like the middle of nowhere in Germantown, Nashville. We were super impressed with the selection. Great IPA choices. This is a place we always have to go when we are visiting the city. From the outside, it appears very industrial with a nice patio and seating area with picnic tables. The second you walk in, you can't help but notice the chandelier. Limited seating inside, but board games are available while you are there. Friendly staff; always a good experience. read more

Great overall vibes and fabulous beer selection! Trendy little taproom, pool table inside as well. There is definitely a brewery smell inside, so you may want to wait for a patio day if that smell bothers you. There is no food so check their IG to see if they have a food truck. read more

BEST BAR I HAVE BEEN TO! every person, and every beer here is amazing!!!! I am a big critique and don't usually right good reviews. But this place wins my heart read more
The beer here is good and reasonable. They do not have a huge selection but they have perfected the few they sale. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and are helpful at finding a beer you like. They do have a pool table, couch and plenty of tables to gather with your friends. If you really enjoy your beer, they may have a 4 pack for sale but they do sale out quickly. Make the trip, the beer is worth it. read more

Well worth a visit. The beer I tried was good+. Their IPA is a local classic. The exterior and interior of the building aren't extremely cohesive aesthetically, but I don't mind that. I really like the interior. It's hipster meets olde country brewpub. There's one pool table (which is a bit of a tease, honestly). The bar's very nice, the seating is comfy and eclectic as is the wraparound bar. I'd recommend they illuminate a bit more of the interior near the beer vats to add a bit to the aesthetic component and a little light to an ever-too-slightly dank and dark interior, IMO (though I don't recommend a vast change -- I feel like they almost have it down!) There's a fair-sized outdoor patio/deck (which I believe is relatively new). It's a little plain currently, but nothing wrong with its understated nature. That said, it never hurts to have an activity here or there to do with friends (maybe waterproof something or other). It would be really nice if they added shuffleboard or darts (probably inside). read more

Popular brewery in Nashville making a ton of IPAs. Very glad they offer half pours and hopefully one day flights. Very good hazy IPAs. Reasonable prices. Large venue with a ton of outdoor seating. Inside is a little dark, so I enjoyed the picnic tables outside. Friendly bartender. Would return. read more

Eclectic style inside paired with a large patio deck! Go hear if you're looking for a spin on the classics. The brewery is attached the space where the Germantown Art crawl is held, you can grab a beer and walk around the crawl if that's what you're into! The patio is one of my favorite places to be on a clear summer night. Make sure to buy at least a four pack of beers before you head out, or you'll regret it! read more

I just started drinking as it was my 21st this past June. I'm not a huge fan of beer and I'm especially not a fan of IPAs. However, I ordered the Mood Ring with Mixed Berry and it's a DIPA. I LOVED it. It was so good AND it's a double IPA. WHATTTT??? This place had phenomenal beer. And we're a picky family. P.S. They have a pool table!! read more

I know this is a silly one, but is it only beer?
Yes. They only sale the craft beer that they brew.
Is there free parking available? If so where?
Free at the brewery itself, huge lot.
