We also chose to get a massage from their full service spa. Very good massage I can highly recommend it. The surrounding areas are a park like setting with lots of flowers and plants . The cabins are in the heavily treed woods and in the mornings we were awakened by the chatter of birds. It was so good to take in the views and sit on our back porch listening to them with their morning chirps and breathing in that fresh mountain air. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy excellent dining, this is your place. There are also a couple outside cats on the property that like to visit while you are sitting on your porch swing or rocking chairs.

This was…read morewhere we spent our honeymoon (well Gburg actually - in an old run down cabin that wasn't theirs). I don't even know if this place was around then. That was 41 years ago but we spent time up here for our 40th anniversary this year - using them exclusively since we found them about 20 years ago. I think the ownership went thru change since we've been coming here but we exclusively and use them at least 3-4 times a year. Their special for last minute trips is incredible. After 20 years, 3-4 times a year (so we've stayed in most of them), each one has always been clean as a whistle. We have figured that we have stayed with them over 60 trips. At least. We've never stayed with anyone else the past 20 years! Our favorite place is at the top of the mountain at the water tower. However three of the four we always stayed at and liked the best, all but one was burned down in the Gatlinburg Fire of 2016. It burned down to their concrete footprint. They finally got one of them rebuilt and just opened back up so we are leaving Friday to go there. It's at the very top of the mountain and you can see for miles and miles. Yet it is only 5 min from the Parkway, behind Dollywood. You would think a cabin on the to of the mountain with its incredible view would be miles from the Parkway but it's only a short 5-8 minutes. I can never praise their staff enough. They are awesome people to work with. Some of our favorite restaurants we never miss are the Applewood for bfast, Guy Fieri's restaurant and arcade ( this is awesome and relatively new and great to go because there is a Crumbl and Ice Cream shop next door that are for that sweet tooth we always seem to get worse up there), Chop House, Cherokee Grill (Gburg), Ogles Farmers Kitchen ( I think this is the name. It right close to going in for Applewood. We've just recently found this and have been multiple times), The Pottery Barn Cafe is usually our first place we hit coming into town. There is also Paula Deens, Chop House, and Johnny Carino's. This is just for starters. Stay here and you won't regret it!!!

Avoid Hemlock Hills Cabin Rentals and Cody Hibbard -- A Complete Nightmare…read moreOur experience with Hemlock Hills Cabin Rentals and Cody Hibbard was nothing short of a disaster. Things went downhill from the start. We had installed our own locks, but without any discussion or authorization, Cody removed them and replaced them with his own--claiming it was "easier for his portal." The problem? There was no portal. We had zero visibility into bookings, charges, or payments. He kept saying a "new system" was being set up, but that never happened. We trusted him because he was referred by a realtor and came across as running a "family business." That turned out to be a huge mistake. Communication was awful--texts went unanswered for days, calls ignored, and transparency was nonexistent. Then came the billing nightmare. We were charged $1,620 for cleaning fees and $489 for locks we never asked for--the same ones he removed after we'd just paid for new ones ourselves. In October, our cabin brought in around $6,200, yet our owner deposit was only $2,315. For someone claiming to charge a 15% management fee, that math doesn't even come close. The so-called "cleaning service" was unacceptable, and things only got worse. Our camera system mysteriously disappeared, and after one stay, the back doors were found wide open. We later discovered that a random woman had apparently stayed there--Cody took the money and never paid us a dime. This is not a professional management company. It's a disorganized, dishonest operation run by someone who preys on owners' trust. If you're thinking of using Hemlock Hills or Cody Hibbard--run the other way. Manage your property yourself or find a reputable company, but don't make the same costly mistake we did.

This by far was the cleanest, we've ever stayed in. The office staff at Heartland Cabin Rentals are PHENOMENAL! They take such great care of their guests, very knowledgeable and friendly. We called and spoke to Josh to get our free tickets to one of the many, attractions that they offer for just being their guests. That's a definite Plus.. We also took advantage of the discounts they offer for first responders. That was just another plus for us. We have stink bugs and lady bugs in Florida so we know what they are/ look like but we searched one of the bugs and it said bed bugs... When we called we were told no body would be out until the next day and it wasn't an emergency. No matter what type of bugs who wants to sleep in a bed full of bugs after a long drive like that?? The next morning the maintenance guy came out to fix these issues and he was a very nice guy. He listened to everything we said and by the time we came back we had hot water, the toilet flushed, and the fireplace was working! We got a phone call and they said they would send someone out to clean the house but everything looked the same way as when we left that morning. We all took showers and figured why not try an enjoy it since we already spend this much money and wasn't offered to be moved to another cabin or anything. Just that they would contact us after our stay... Sunday morning we woke up with no hot water again.... They came back out and got it fixed again and then we had it the rest of our trip. Though it ended there, NOPE!! Sunday night my sister went to lay down and she had water leaking on her bed. We didn't call because it was 2 am and they would have just said it's not emergency again. She slept on the couch that night. Monday went good we stayed in because it started snowing. My boyfriend cleaned the filter to the washer because it was full of dirt and the washer started working AMAZINGLY ! Monday night my sister went to lay down again and the same thing happened once again. Tuesday morning after we packed and got ready to leave we check the room to make sure we didn't leave anything behind and it started leaking in 4 more spots!!! That bed is going to be ruined and it is going to start stinking. So to say the cabin is ready and clean is a LIE!! It looked as if the cabin hadn't been clean in forever and when we started the shower it seemed like the water hadn't been ran in a good while. The cabin and view was beautiful but to pay as much as we did to have to come to something like this is CRAZZYY!! I didn't come on vacation to clean/ have to call someone everyday because there is a new problem everyday. My mom did get a call but all they could do was refund the cleaning fee and a 25% off coupon for our next trip. Yes we are thankful for something but I feel as that just isn't enough and we will definitely not be booking with them again. And if it was the cleaning company I would definitely get a new one because they don't know how to clean. I have my own business and WOULD NEVER DO THIS TO SOMEONE!!! That aside, it is a little cramped but you shouldn't have a problem making used of the space to enjoy your stay. The beds are also comfy.
