Went in Friday for my monthly massage and had an awesome Swedish massage by Emily. What I love about this spa is that the therapists all use hot towels on the body during the session. Most spas charge extra for that nicety. In this crazy time of the Coronavirus pandemic, if you are healthy but feeling a bit anxious, as long as the spa is open, go in and get a massage. The Bear Mountain Spa really made my trial and wedding day wonderful and special - not just for my, but for my bridal party and family as well. Annatte and her team welcomed us all as if the salon were our room away from our room. It felt like the party had started that day the moment we walked into the Spa. With Seleina on nails, Diane on hair and America on make-up, I could not have imagined a better group of artists to create this perfect masterpiece. My husband and I just had massages today at Bear Mountain Spa and it was wonderful! I had the Lavender Garden Massage with Anthony who was fantastic and used the perfect amount of pressure for me and my husband the 80minute hot stone massage with Michaela which he loved - we haven't felt this relaxed in a long time and already looking forward to our next trip! Had an appt for myself and my daughter, my daughter started on time I started 45 minutes late, no apologies what so ever though everyone was pleasant not rude so it was odd. I brought it up to please let my daughter know since she would be finish soon that my appt ran 45 minutes late, still no apology just ok we will let her know. Massage was fine no complaints except it was hard to relax knowing someone is waiting on me, which in another spa should not be a big deal as waiting areas are typically nice and you are offered tea, water and in a comfortable setting, but as beautiful as the bear mountain lodge is the waiting room for spa is basically a typical doctor office waiting room. My entire time waiting I was never offered as much as a sip of water no one even came into the room to advise when I would be taken in, it was only when I got up aggravated at this point to ask that I was told in a few minutes. Again no apology but pleasant, I assume it is norm and not something they think is inconsiderate to treat people this way and worthy of a courteous apology? read more

Had a mani & pedi with Selena. Best ever!!! My mani lasted 2 weeks and my pedi lasted over 3 weeks and I didn't even do a gel manicure! So relaxing. Love it there!!! read more

Wedding Day Hair and Make-up with my bridal party, mom, grandmas, and mother-n-law. The stylists that we had to help us get wedding ready were all very sweet and friendly. My girl, Jess was the best and I highly recommend her. We had a great time except for a few things. We were originally told that they only do one bridal party a day and that I was to book asap so no one else was there. Then they booked another bridal party and rushed us. The main lady over the spa came to the restaurant to get us at breakfast at 8:55 for our 9:00 appointments and was not nice at all. We had from 9-3 to get ready and she kept telling us we would not be done in time. We were all done by 11 except for 2 who we had said would not be there till 12/12:30 and once they arrived the lady told them she did not know if she could do them. The main lady was rude to all my girls and kept trying to make them buy their lip stick. I was told I could come back after I brushed my teeth right before the photographer arrived at 3 to retouch my lips. I went in and they tried to make me buy the lip stick and were not letting me use theirs. The main lady also tried to make my mother in law pay for 11 people instead of the 9. She charged her twice for me when I had already paid months prior. So she ended up paying what I had already put down as a deposit plus the remaining. The receptionist was very sweet and made us feel welcome as well as the stylist. I will say that the main lady did treat me very nice during my time in the spa when my neck was hurting very badly, she had a massage lady come and work on it for me. I was just unhappy with her being so pushing/rushing us, talking rude to my girls and family, over charging, and rushing us through. read more

Had my 1st prenatal massage with Tracy today. Loved everything about my experience at the spa. I was greeted with a smile and friendly hello. Tracy brought me into the room and explained the massage to me to make sure I would be comfortable with the positions. We booked the spa for a few hours for a private ladies' pre-wedding celebration for our friend who was getting married 3 days after. Each of us booked our appointments and were given the lounge area to set up our own refreshments, etc. It was lovely and relaxing and the staff was fantastic. We booked this event with Annette a couple of months in advance and she was friendly and most accommodating. The spa stone massage was especially wonderful. I had a great facial with Ginger today and my husband really liked his massage with Michaela! I've had many facials over the years (my second one here) this one ranks up there with the best of them. The spa is very clean and comfortable although, is not large and I didn't see a locker, changing room or quiet room many larger spas have. Staff very friendly and helpful. Manager happily went out if her way to solve a gift certificate issue that we had. Will defiantly be returning. read more

After a delicious Sunday brunch at the Bear Mountain Inn, my daughter & I went for a luxurious day of pampering at the Spa. We were warmly greeted by Rene, who welcomed us with refreshing glasses of cucumber water, then showed us into the beautiful rooms for our services. I enjoyed every minute of my Everything But the Massage. The soft music & dim lighting enhanced Rachel's gentle face, scalp, hand & foot treatments, which were totally relaxing. Next was a decadent Age Defense facial by Adrianna, who was wonderful. I don't remember the last time I felt so pampered, and my skin was glowing when she was finished. Lastly, my manicure & pedicure by Selenia was the perfect ending to an amazing Spa experience. She is so bright & interesting that it felt like I was chatting with a friend, & my nails looked beautiful. Each & every person that we met there was friendly, exceptionally skilled at their crafts, and did everything possible to ensure that our spa experience was all that we hoped for it to be and much more. It wasn't easy to return to reality, but I look forward to our next visit! read more

Tyler (female massage therapist) is the one to request! I have had many massages in my day but this woman absolutely gave me the best massage ever. I can't tell you exactly what she did (maybe she has a magic wand???)...but seriously I can only tell you that I felt great when I left. Next time I will book Tyler for an hour and a half.
