This was red drops on the shower curtain..I have no idea if this was blood or not, but it was disgusting

I was very excited to stay here, but the disappointment was evident very early. This room was sub par and needs to be taken out of rotation as it is awful. There were red droplets on the shower curtain and once you are able to close the bathroom door, you cant move because the bathroom is beyond tiny. The green light on the exit sign stayed on all night and you can't sleep. There was a stain on the blanket and gunk in the sink. I was also surprised to see a spider in the tub, and the tub is the size of a cereal box. My check in was 9/28/24.

The music was fantastic - they were called Alpine Squeeze and many people were up and dancing while they played. The problem for me and my group was the LONG WAIT for the food. It was only served at 2 locations, which was ridiculous for all those people. We waited in line to order for 45 MINUTES. The food that we had was great, but they had run out of potato pancakes, stuffed cabbage and perogies when it was our turn in line. Ugh. Get the food organized!

The Oktoberfest is Exit 17 on the Palisades Interstate parkway. Don't follow the signs or the website. It will take you to the Recreation area where the Merry-Go-Round is and that is it. Once you get to the right place there is plenty of parking. There is German style foods; chicken schnitzel, bratwurst, red cabbage, pierogis, giant soft pretzels, hot dogs and chicken fingers as well. Sodas and water are under the tent where the food is. There are several beer vendors. Spaten, Shock Top, and other brands. The souvenir steins are refillable for a modest ($12.) one stein is quite a bit of beer, though. Glasses of beer are also available. There is a bandstand with German music, vendors, beanbag toss games. It is kid friendly.

What a cluster f*ck!!! We went on 10/11/15 and it was PACKED like sardines. In order to buy food and drinks you need to buy tickets. 30+ minutes later then we had to fight our way through the tightly packed lines (with a double stroller btw)... Once we made out way to the back of the food line which was out by the road I purposely times myself for fun... 45 min just to get to the food tent... Then another 20+ minutes zig zagging in the tent to reach the food... Just the "German" food, NOT INCLUDING PRETZELS or BEER!! The location was way too tight of a space to hold all those people... Here's an idea to the ppl who put on this event... Put it back at Bear Mountain State Park and if you run out of parking spots, have people park at the Anthony Wayne Rec Area and bus them into Bear Mnt!!! Never again will I return if it's at AWRA.

I wanted to go on a day road trip to take photos of Bear Mountain fall foliage. To entice my friends along I mentioned there was an Oktoberfest going on but we had to leave early in the morning. We were excited to try something outside of our routine, and were actually shocked at the number of people also wanting to try something different. It was as if everyone in the Hudson Valley wanted beer. Although we arrived as the festival started at noon, the line into the parking lot was almost a mile long probably from both directions. Oktoberfest got more and more filled as the day went on. The first round or two of beer was manageable, but after that, all the beer lines were about 20 minutes long. No wonder everyone brought their own huge beer steins to fill (larger, cheaper and why not get one for each hand?). We are doing that the next time we come. The crowd definitely reminded me of a weekend night in Hoboken fratboy-land, without the yahoos and cat fights. Girls were waiting in line at the guys rest rooms. What made up for all the lines were the stunning fall foliage, clouds and sun on the lake. Everyone was clicking photos and sending them which was probably why the cell towers were overloaded and barely functioned at all. We skipped the food lines that were longer than at Disneyland, and headed up to the glorious mountaintop for stunning views all the way to Manhattan. Then after a long traffic jam of cars on the parkway trying to get to the roundabout and into the front entrance of the park, we got to West Point and ate without a wait. Bear Mountain Oktoberfest was a fun festival and worth the hassle, but probably not every year, so everyone please stay home in 2015 ;)

Terrible Oktoberfest. Long long lines for beer and terrible food. Barely any vendors and not by lake anymore. Would not go back.

Jeff and his band were super-accommodating, discussing with us exactly what we wanted all within our budget. Moreover, having the Street Beat Brass Band as part of our celebration was, to us, what makes this great city of ours so unique and special--the delight on the faces of our wedding party, the NYPD, the Mr. Softee Ice Cream truck guy and all the people we encountered along the route over the bridge, in Dumbo and on the F and R train surpassed our expectations. Their brown shed I imagine normally stocks more items but we arrived late in the day so there wasn't as much available to choose from which isn't a surprise. I wasn't that disappointed because I mainly came for the gorgeous wildflower bouquet. My husband and I bought a small bag of mixed potato varieties and a carton of mixed cherry tomatoes. Payment is based on an honor system. I paid using their QR code on a sign posted next to their door. The payment is processed via Square. We saw in the shed: caps, potatoes, herbs, vegetables, and floral bouquets. The shed is kept cold via an AC. Highly recommended and I suggest arriving earlier in the day.

He was funny (as accurately advertised), engaging, and good at his job! lol We hired Allen very last minute for a community talent show hosted by our church. We were grateful for his availability and quick correspondence. He arrived early for our sound check and was easy to work with. We had him on stage for 30 min then on walk around for the 30 min intermission. The stage performance was fantastic. Allen works the crowd up and gets people involved. The room shifted quickly from entertained applause to a loud "OH SNAPS"and "NOOO". I stepped outside during intermission but could hear very clearly the intermittent "OHHHHH's" as Allen performed his walk-around. Long story short - I am very thankful Allen pursued his magic side gig and I'm on the lookout for another chance to hire him.

It was an adult-only party, and he was able to cater to this crowd very well.
