Our experience with Kool Breeze has been disappointing. When we received our quote, we explained to…read moreone of the owners, Scott, that we needed something durable (as we have dogs that rough house and don't pay attention to where they are going) - and the option we went with was under his recommendation. He failed to disclose that the posts for the patio cover are made out of aluminum (super easy to dent) & he also failed to disclose that the entrance to the gutter is about 1.5" wide with sharp metal on both edges (making it impossible to clean out). Within 4 days of having the patio cover, our dog pushed our other dog into one of the aluminum posts and it was immediately dented. When we called Kool Breeze about it, they weren't empathetic about failing to disclose the aluminum exterior and said we'd have to pay for it to be fixed or replaced (which doesn't make sense to do, just so it might be dented again). When fall arrived we noticed that the entrance to the gutter was impossible and this spring my husband tried to spray it out with a leaf blower & hose, but couldn't get even half of what was there because the entrance is so small. He then had to use his fingers to reach down and pull bit by bit out and in doing so sliced his hand several times on the sharp metal. When we called today (3/13/23) the owner, Adam, admitted that the gutter is a design flaw that they've been working on fixing for over 20 years. He didn't offer any solution on being able to clean them out, other than buying a pressure washer and cleaning it once a month minimum. He didn't apologize about failing to disclose this design flaw, he offered no solutions (my husband suggested a screen over the entrance so leaves can't get in and he said no), and he didn't apologize about it slicing up his hand in several areas. We spent just under $9,000 for this patio cover and I can tell you if we had known about the aluminum posts or the small gutter entrance, we would have never gave them our business.
