I got this on a Tuesday, it's Sunday.

I got a gel manicure and pedicure 4 days ago. Spent $113. They used a heavy duty nail file to take the old gel off barely soaking them in acetone, and completely destroying my nails, and now the manicure and pedicure is lifting and chipping. Really disappointed. Don't even want to go back there to have it fixed. I've been there before and it's never great but this was really bad

I thought about posting this for a while because I really do not like writing negative reviews but I feel as though I should post my experience for others to read about before deciding where to get their nails done. I have come in a couple of times and my nails have turned out decent; it really depends on who you get. But after what happened to me at my last visit, I will not be back. They were busy and my service was rushed. When I went to check out, I was told that my gel rebase would be $38. When I asked why my price was so much more than the posted price of $25, I was told that it was because 2 of my nails needed to be fixed. I have included a picture of the 2 nails that were "fixed". There was no extra tip applied, just the acrylic powder. That is not any extra work for the technician and it doesn't even look good. I can't seem to think of why that would be $13. What a rip-off!

Love this place. So far so good! Came in the first time today to have a shellac rebase done! I am VERY picking about my nails, I like them very short and thin. Kimberley listened to what I wanted and the service was fantastic. I didn't feel like they were rushing me to pick color, or rushing through the service at all. Kimberley's next client came in and another young lady finished up my nails by applying the shellac itself. Both of them combined was great! I didn't feel like I was being pushed aside or anything. I am impressed so far and hope that my nails stay looking this good for a good amount of time. Will be back! Thank you

:( after my last shellac appointment here, almost all of my nails have broken off (these are not tips, they were my natural nails).

Very disappointed in my last appointment here. 1) The nail tech wrapped my shellac with foil & acetone and then walked away, leaving me to sit alone for 10 minutes while she ate lunch. 2) The polish I ended up with was not the one I picked out, and when I asked for a different one because I didn't like it, she just kept going with the one I didn't like. 3) The tech applied the top coat shellac four times, I've never had someone apply four coats of anything. 4) Almost half of my nails immediately broke off after this appointment (I didn't have tips applied, these were my real, healthy strong nails that suddenly started breaking off after my last appointment). I will not be going back to Bear Creak Nails.

Good job on my tootsies! This place is in my neighborhood so I decided to try it out when my usual spot was booked. I called around 11am on Saturday and they had no problem getting me and a friend in at 1pm. The staff here really take their time. I purchased the $45 deluxe pedicure with the ocean refresh scrub & foot soak, along with the $5 hot stone massage. Very relaxing! My feet are STILL super soft and it's been four days. They did a great job with the painting and the artwork. It's a little bit pricier than other pedi places, but I enjoyed my visit. Another plus? Their stellar massage chairs!

Just got a really nice gel mani :) busy (it's Saturday) and had to wait a while even with an appointment, but not that big of a deal. I used the time to choose from their MANY gel color options. Polish looks good, will update with how long it lasts. Update: 10 days in and nails still look great (aside from being grown out) :)

For starters, the nail technicians were incredibly rude. Grunting every time they had to ask you to move your hand, and being highly impatient while moving from one spot to another. And then on top of the attitude the nail job was absolutely horrible. I know how to do shellac, and when I saw she went over my nail I asked her to please fix it and she gruffed and made a lousy attempt to sand it down. My nails look like a five year old tried to do them, and after all that she only took off five dollars and gave a false apology. I have to go get them redone and it will not be with this place ever again. I have included a photo of the owners nail work. Never again.

Unfortunately my nails turned out very poorly today and the nail techs basically yelled at me and told me to come back next week. They were so rude! This place has gone downhill.

Thanks Kim

First time here and I loved it! I got a Manicure/ acrylic overlay with gel and it's perfect.

I've been getting my nails done with acrylic since high school and I've bounced between shops. I've recently returned to the Denver/Lakewood area, and my sister (who trained as a nail technician) recommended I book an appointment when she was scheduled to go in next. So I did and I've been coming back ever since I graduated college and I don't want to go anywhere else. This most recent appointment was an impulse "treat yo self" for my mom and me and I said I would see anyone who was free to take me. I'm very particular when it comes to my shape, length, sharpness, and cleanliness. And I got exactly what I wanted! I saw Lynn, the technician my sister usually sees, and she listened and, boy, she did deliver! Lynn gave me everything I needed. There's a wide selection of gel color options, a very clean environment, and loads of customer service that isn't fake or meant to up-sell. The technicians listen to what you want and there are signs posted everywhere to let the shop know if you're ever dissatisfied with the end result before you leave. I love being listened to and getting what I want, so I know I'll be taken care of appropriately here.

Service wasn't friendly and they won't trim the dead skin around your fingers unless you pay for a full manicure

Sadly, you have to do your homework to find safey and sanitation practices that are legit (and don't just *appear* to be), especially in this industry. Second, I haven't had a mani or pedi in several years after becoming more educated about the toxic chemicals that are *routinely* used in this industry. Once you learn a little, you can't unlearn it and you think differently about nail spas. Third, this salon rocked it. In my hour and a half pedi, which speaks to the attention to detail, all by itself, I observed several folks come and go, watched staff clean and disinfect not only the basin and tools, but also the seats and the headrests. Not just spraying the basin down but really scrubbing it and rinsing really well. Thank you! Small things like using no plastic to seal the tools means less for our landfill. Using hand towels and requiring every customer to wash their hands before each appointment, and staff to wash before and after - these little things add up. My pedi? It was heavenly. Yes, I splurged and it was completely worth it. Every polish and shellac polishes are all non toxic - this matters as these are going right on your nail bed. So excited to have found a clean, non toxic and high quality nail spa. Already looking forward to returning!

My friends love this place but I always leave feeling ripped off…read more... My friend is getting married and she wanted the bridal party to go out and get our nailed done together. I got a pedicure and they all got manicures. When I sat in the chair I told him I just wanted the basic pedicure $35. He then said my calluses were bad so it would be an addition $10. I said that was fine. I then picked a color that closely matched my bridesmaids dress. He grabbed the color and did the pedicure like normal. I thought he did a great job! When it came time to pay she said it was $60?!? I was like, how is that possible? I did the basic pedicure and the $10 callus removal. She said it was the polish I chose... I didn't realize the polish was $15.... I was a little taken back but also holding up the line so I didn't say anything. I did tip him $15 so the total was $75. I remember this happening last time I went for a manicure. They always seem to find a way to over charge me but still do a great job so I feel obligated to tip well. My friends love this place so I only go when they really want to. I felt like I couldn't say no this time cause the bride asked all of us to go. I will definitely be more careful when picking polish colors and asking how much before they put it on.
