The staff treats us like family. Premium room is worth it if you do serious cooking. Agreed: groomers are noisy and run all night. (We ask for a relatively quieter room and a village view and we use white noise). Yes, it was built in 1996, but we like the feel of it being older. We're 70+ skiers. We like that one can go right out the ski room door and ski downhill 100'ish to the Sundance lift at 8:30. A short walk across the road under the covered bridge to Morrisey can be great for first tracks when there's new snow. Access is so easy we take a mid day break in the room. You can ski all downhill to the door from the Rambler or Sunrise. (see the map). The highlight for us is the guided tours by the Sun Peaks Hosts. They'll guide you to the best areas, away from the fog, wind, ice, hardpack etc. We love the Sundance and have returned year after year since 2013. Seattle and Bellingham Washington.

We stopped by in October and stayed for only one night. It was off season at the ski resort so we got a room at a great value and it was very quiet. It's a beautiful location and I can imagine how busy it must get during the snow season because it was dead when we were there. Most of the village shops and some of the restaurants were open when we were there. We were able to get dinner at a pizza spot and breakfast, but the village was nearly deserted. The rooms are outdated and old. I did enjoy that the room was huge and big enough for a big family. There was a small kitchenette, a dining table, fireplace, and a TV. The bed was comfortable, very clean and there were no bedbugs. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and engaging she even gave us advice on where to park at.

Food from Mantles and Morrisey's are pretty good. Rooms are clean and spacious, and there's AC which is needed during the summer heat. It does get cooler at night. Our room (436) came with coffee machine (Nespresso Capsules), electric kettle, small fridge, and safe. There's a parking fee per night and it's underground parking. Parking stalls are small so some vehicles take up more than a spot. The drive to the soccer fields are long but we enjoyed the scenic drive (about 50mins each way). Don't rush the drive up or down, enjoy the scenery and tranquility. Be careful as there are wildlife on the drive up/down from Sun Peaks. We saw deer a couple of times on the side of the road and a juvenile black bear (we almost hit one) darted out of the bushes on to the road at one point. Overall, we had a great experience and glad we chose to stay here.

The cabins were recently renovated and super cute! No restaurant or other amenities on site, which was totally fine, as the kitchen is super well stocked, and there is a BBQ on the deck. Very peaceful and quiet, people were friendly, nice walking nearby, field to play games in. We also enjoyed the scenic drive in and out, passing by so many cows and their young calves. We plan to return.

They have little boats with outbound motors for rent at $70 day including gas. No complaints. It's under new management so I think they may just be trying to work out the quirks so I'll give it another try. Be prepared to bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are really bad. We absolutely love coming to Salmon Arm Campground and Resort each year. This year is number four…read more The hosts, Joe, Sera and Antoinetta are lovely. They make each guest feel like they are happy you are here. The pool is great and open most of the day each day. They have laundry facilities and free showers. There is a store conveniently stocked with a lot of "Ooops, we forgot to bring..." items. The campground itself is treed and the gardens have beautiful flowers. There is also a Koi pond. They also offer a playground for the little ones. The sites are fairly spacious and can accommodate most campers/rvs. It is located just minutes from Salmon Arm city centre. We find we love the location, the customer service and the overall camping experience! We will continue to plan our annual vacation at Salmon Arm Campground and Resort.

However it said that the hotel check in closed at 8pm. A man answered the doorbell and was really friendly. He had us checked in and gave us a key. He then told us the best place to park, opened up the room for us, showed us the tv remotes, and the heater. The room was cozy and pretty clean for the most part. The towels did look very old and worn out. I also found that the toilet was dirty even though it had one of those clean seals on it. The hotel was right by the lake which was beautiful and they have a kids play area as well in their "courtyard". Ok now for the fun part, I stayed up until 10pm watching a movie and the people staying next to our room were extremely loud. The walls are paper thin since I could hear the conversation the lady was having on the phone. The person next to us kept walking back and forth throughout the room until probably 2am. Then when I finally was able to go to sleep the people upstairs woke up early in the morning and I could hear their footsteps going back and forth as well. It was definitely a rough night with little sleep. This hotel has no bed bugs and it is right off the road so it's convenient if you want to stop by somewhere to sleep. However, your quality of sleep all depends on the people around you and how much noise their making at later hours of the night.

On the train, which usually leaves very early, you enjoy the day, fabulous first class meals, and plenty of wine. You do not sleep on the train. We pulled into Kamloops and then took a short coach ride to the hotel where our baggage was already waiting and we were handed the keys to our room. We decided to have dinner in the hotel's restaurant. While everything started well, it seemed to take a long time to finally get our food and when we did, my friend's plate which was the same item, apeared to be a seriously larger piece of fish. So much so that I showd the manager who offered me another piece. I was not going to wait. In spite of that everything tasted good. We headed back to our room to rest before the early start and final train ride back to Vancouver. A short trip back and we just rested for the evening. The spacious room was clean with a very comfortable bathroom, walk in shower and comfortable bed. Good WiFi always helps to round out a hotel stay. Parking is $20/night so we parked two blocks away on the street where there as open parking. When asked about other parking options the front desk acted like I was from another planet. Weird. Room was spacious. Typical mid-tier hotel with plenty of room and nothing extra special. For Marriott elite, there is a curious pantry in the top level Near the elevator that is accessed with your room key. It's stocked with snacks, drinks and some prepared foods and options for breakfast in the morning. It was a nice surprise and open 24 hours. We were in and out with little time spent in town. We found the pool and enjoyed to cool water to offset the blistering afternoon heat. They serve food and drinks on the pool level which is nice as well. Within 10 minutes of the tour buses arriving we had 20 people converge in the pool with kids and parents and grand parents looking for something to do.

Thick white towels and modern bathrooms. High quality bedding and comfortable mattresses. Special touches such as a microwave for guest use and a non-traditional vending machine with interesting snacks are a bonus. The rooftop (actually 2nd floor) pool/hot tub area is spectacular. Kids and adults alike enjoy using the space. Poolside bar and meal service is available. Staff routinely maintain the pool area, picking up stray towels and dirty dishes. The upgraded executive package is a good deal, as it includes underground parking and a breakfast voucher for the on-site restaurant. The breakfast menu has many options from pancakes to eggs Benedict, and the food is high quality and prepared to order. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Kamloops and is steps from a full-service grocery store, a large drug store, and many cafes and boutiques. I wear earplugs when sleeping, so I cannot comment on room-to-room noise. I don't feel that the noise transfer between rooms is atypical for a building of it's age/construction type. I sleep better here than at home. Overall exceptional experience. I look forward to staying here.

When we arrived the building was updated and modern. Smelled nice and it was hot that day, however the hotel was cooled to a good temp. The staff was very friendly. Went to the room and it was so-so. Not the best room, but not bad enough to go to a different hotel. The area of concern was the riff raff they allow in the hotel. The level of clientele was low. We really go to know this when we were trying to sleep. People were partying in the hallway and were very loud. We called down to the manager and they said they would take care of it. We waited and the noise came back. I called down again and management said they would be removing the loud guests shortly. The noise then stopped, however a good night's sleep was out of the question at this point. Not sure if it is the proximity to the casino, but the quality of customers was very low during our stay.
