We were looking what town to overnight as its our first time in these parts of the woods and took a chance on Prestige in Salmon Arm. Loved it! Our first time staying at a Prestige Resort and we will be checking for them more for our trips. Located on the water, check in was a breeze and has many shops around. Free parking. There's an outdoor hot tub, & an indoor/outdoor pool. As you hang out in the hot tub, there's a birds nest you can just got lost in watching. The gym is nicely sized and has some really nice expensive gym equipment. I met a local in the hot tub and she says the hotel sells memberships to the locals for the hotel amenities. Real cool! The hotel also has bikes for rent, games on the lawn, chairs to sunbathe and a quick walk to the docks. Our room was standard sized with 2 queen beds. It felt clean, and welcoming. I loved the bathroom! Standard room comes with a tub and a shower. Lovely luxury surprise. The beds were really comfortable. There's a mini fridge, coffee maker, ice bucket and microwave. It's a beautiful updated luxury property in a small town surrounded by water and nature.

We had even put in the credit card they demanded to secure the room. When we arrived, one of the woman at the front desk told us, "Cats are not allowed." As if that wasn't insulting enough, they acted as though we should have known this - even after I showed my confirmation document that included a pet. "Oh, that's only for dogs," she insisted, not nicely. "You should have read the hotel policies posted online." I have traveled around the world, and never even thought of looking up a hotel's internal policy statements. A second woman at the desk looked at me sympathetically, clearly embarrassed by her boss' behavior. I tried calling the Best Western helpline. A woman there transferred me to someone calling herself Tiffany, who put me on hold a couple of times. Finally, she came back to tell me the same thing as the front desk, even though she had initially agreed that this sounded outrageous. Naturally, I asked her to give me a good reason to ever trust Best Western again. At this point, I cannot imagine putting any part of a trip in their dishonest hands. The first woman at the reception desk finally made a few calls, upon our insistence, and found us a room at a motel in Sicamous. I did appreciate that gesture and have reviewed the other place; interested travelers can find that on my Yelp page. Meanwhile, Best Western still has their falsely advertised listing online. This is flat out abusive conduct to treat people like this as long as we can line business owners pocket. Shame on sicamous and British Columbia for lowering your standard over the years. This hotel should be assessed for public safety issues. The day our ministries take lisencing and public safety seriously, we will be safe. Don't pay until you see the room, flush the toilet, run the water, look at and smell the mattress and take a look at window sill sheets and floors. You'll need to open the door for this as the lighten serves the owners. My rating does not exist. This hotel owner is hiding due to his negligence. My true rating comes with many negatives. Quick Review …read more.. Pros: The room was spacious and cozy . Flat screen tv and a nice sized bath tub. Cons: The complimentary breakfast was awful . The bread was as hard as stone and the yogurt was past its expiry date by 2 days . The coffee had not been refilled by 9 am when I had got there , so I asked the front desk to add more coffee but they never got around to it . I was traveling back from Calgary to Vancouver and all day I had been looking forward to lounging in their hot tub that evening . But for whatever reason they didn't feel that was necessary to tell us at the desk when I was exclaiming how happy I was to go into their hot tub only to find out that it had been not working for a total of 3 days . I enjoyed the Gil's bowl area the most. Even in a year when we have the least amount of snow, the weather kept it well. It's much better than the coastal area resorts. The lines are also shorter. This is a great family resort, may not be for the elite thrill seeking crowd but has enough for everyone to do.

It was my husband's birthday today and his parents treated us to a wonderful dinner. This is also the first time we have gone to a restaurant since Covid started, and their safety protocols made us feel very safe. The staff was all wearing masks, the tables were spaced out great, there was sanitizer stations all over the place, and when we arrived they even sanitized the chairs! The service was top notch. Our drinks and food both arrived promptly and we were all very impressed with everything. Everyone ordered the fish and chips but me, but I had a taste of my husband's and it was delicious. I had the Wedge Salad and it was hands down the best salad I've ever had (I highly recommend). I also recommend the Botanical Gin and Tonic The server overheard us mention that it was my husband's birthday and they offered him a free dessert (the best creme brule ever) complete with a candle. Overall we were all thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back next summer!

In the bedroom they have a hassock underneath the bedside table, this provides a great seat to be used when writing or making notes. You have a little mini desk. We had a great stay at Quaaot and would highly recommend a stay here. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful.

If you are travelling with your dog, my only suggestion is that you bring a bed for him/her because the floors are hardwood and it will be more comfortable for them. The restaurant is very good and there is a Subway across the road and Tim Horton's next door. On my last trip, I noticed they had a "FOR SALE" sign in front of the property. It appears it is no longer operating. SAD! :-(

It is outside the downtown area of Revelstoke, so you will need to drive into town or take the shuttle for $2 per way. It is about 5 mins away. I like the hot tub. There are two! One outdoor with a view of the mountains and everyone looking at you. The other is in the lower level where the small fitness center is. There are also steam room and sauna and shower area and lounge area there. There are also complimentary beverages like coffee, tea (teavana) and fruit infused water in the morning. After that, only water is available. The lounge area is quite big with a pool table. You can be kept occupied even if you spend a whole day indoors. I'll stay here again if I ever visit Revelstoke again.
