Warm and cozy this popular place seems to be a meet-up place for all ages, or for people in to use Wi-Fi. The menus have lots of coffees and specialty drinks. Breakfast includes many Scramblers, and avocado and hummus toasts. Lunch is Paninis, sandwiches and wraps with daily soups. I had the large Snowman specialty coffee. What a great local coffee shop. I am visiting from Las Vegas and always enjoy a good local recommendation. There is plenty of space inside to meet with friends or a larger group like 5-6 people. The decor was cute and quirky as well. Service was friendly and while we had a few mishaps they were quickly resolved. I was interested in their holiday menu for Halloween and hope to visit again in the future to try from their regular menu. I ordered the Toasty Ghostie. Per a recommendation order it with oat milk and 1/2 sweet. Which I did and it was wonderful. The coffee flavor was not bitter and quite smooth and the oat milk was the right balance in the iced version of this drink. My boyfriend went with the Jack-O-Latte and it was delicious. The pumpkin spice with the cookie butter and caramel was a nice combination. Probably be delicious in an iced version as well. I ordered a bagel sandwich on sesame and must say that was one of the best bagels I had in a while. It was light and fluffy and did not feel heavy. We also ordered the apple crumble cake loaf to try something sweet. The cake was light and fluffy and very mild on the sweetness. It was delicious! read more

Had a wonderful visit with my Mom. Service was friendly and patient with us because menu was big, we ordered coffee first and went to our table to decide what to order. I ordered a Cafe Latte with almond milk. It was so good with a toasted nutty flavor. For food, I got oatmeal that came with bananas , nuts, apples, and cinnamon. It was filling and could not finish it. My Mom got the ultimate breakfast panini with chips and a pickle. She stated it was good, looked great from my vantage point. read more

I stopped by this coffee shop during my morning walk. I hadn't had breakfast yet, so ordered something to eat. I asked about something that looked like a yogurt parfait-.and the barista said they were very popular. I am into trying new things, so I ordered one. What a surprise! Turns out, no yogurt, no dairy, just coconut milk, chia seeds and some other goodies I am not familiar with, (except maple syrup, cinnamon, bee pollen and vanilla) It was fabulous! The fresh raspberries were ripe and sweet, and it was filling. It got me through and active morning, right through lunch! I enjoyed it at one of the outdoor tables and watched the business day begin. First of all, beware lol Seriously, as of 12 days ago, the hours of operation on the website are incorrect. They closed at 2:00pm, not 5:00 as posted on the website. Just a friendly FYI. Besides that, I have nothing un-friendly of note to share with y'all. The menu is what I expected from a small coffeehouse/bistro. The coffee is good, flavorful and fresh and reasonably priced. I enjoyed their version of the Cuban sandwich. It is listed on the menu as a "pannini" which is perhaps an exaggeration, but it is a delicious grilled sandwich. We shared the sandwich, since my sister and I both had a cup of the excellent tomato soup. I'm looking forward to returning again and trying one of their yummy looking desserts. read more

I walked in about 10 minutes before closing, which is 5 pm. I was greeted by a young man who was mopping the floor at the doorway, who looked up at me and mumbled something unintelligible. I had to walk across the wet floor to get to the counter. Other folks were still sitting in the shop drinking coffee. I ordered a sugar free hazelnut latte, and when I got it they were closing up, so I left. I got to my car a tool a sip and gagged. We visited this little coffee shop today for the first time. I loved walking in and seeing how open the place is! There are plenty of tables & chairs if you want to stay. They even have a plush bench with coffee table if you want to get cozy. They have their own coffee beans for purchase, grind them in store or take home whole! For drinks, we ordered: caramel iced coffee, peppermint mocha, red eye & their "house blend" hot cocoa. For baked goods, we ordered: a slice of pumpkin roll, cinnamon muffin & a cannoli. The drinks were fairly good, the hot cocoa was the best. The iced caramel coffee lacked flavor but we had the barista add a little extra flavoring and it was good after that. With the red eye, you're able to add your own pick of coffee from their self serve bar. The cannoli was good but because it was pre-filled it was a little soggy. The pumpkin roll slice was a little dry. Maybe the bakery sits out for a few days? Still good overall. Prices were great - we only spent about $20 on everything. read more

Beans is in a great location located in Chardon square. We wanted something tasty and small for lunch while we were hitting some local garage sales. First, the smoothy was delicious. I ordered a blueberry/strawberry. My husband ordered a chocolate milk shake. He enjoyed it, however it was a bit watery. We ordered 2 of the bean club sandwiches. The pretzel bun was good, it was loaded with turkey, ham and bacon. Also was supposed to have cheese and a spicey mustard. There was a bit too much meat on it. The cheese and sauce were absent. Leaving the sandwich flavorless and boring. The store front was clean and the staff was very nice. But, the food wasn't that great. I'll probably check them out again. read more

Located in a cozy historic building on Chardon Square is a family owned coffee shop with welcoming friendly service. The style is a mix of blonde wood country and rustic contemporary with chalkboard hand written menus. The interior could use a little attention but there are things that do look modernized, so maybe it's a work in progress. We ordered a wrap that came with pickle and chips, a cup of tomato soup, a baked good, a cup of coffee and hot tea and our bill was $19. The soup and sandwich were both excellent and made with fresh healthy ingredients. They were both flavorful. I'd highly recommend the Johnny Utah wrap. The tea, coffee and brownie were basic... nothing special. Some of the other baked goods looked better and homemade. My chocoholic husband chose the brownie which looked like GFS's. I drink my coffee black and it was weak for me. I tried the serenity which was the medium roast. They had three varieties pre-made and in plastic pump-style carafes on a separate self serve counter. Then there was a little sign on the wall that said "refills $1.50." They do have soy and almond milk alternatives. Maybe next time I'll try a chai latte. I don't believe they're open Sunday's or evenings. It's a good place to stop to do some work with free wifi or meet a friend. There are also some board games available to use. There's a nice leather furniture conversation area up by the front windows. Making some cosmetic updates would boost the rating here since coffee shops should be serene and the nicked walls, carpet and blah tables distract from that. I'd like to try a different coffee variety also to see if it's more impressive. Another thing that hurts is that if you're going to charge for in house refills on plain coffee, don't have a self serve station of pump style carafe dispensers. Just give me a fresh cup at the counter! All in all, I'd come back. It's a nice option on the square. read more

One of the only places in NE Ohio which roasts its own beans! For the normal coffee connoisseur, their Columbian Peaberry is excellent is their Solstice blend. Best part? They warm their cups. It's the simple things, you know? If the "coffee drink" is more your style, they have a great selection of syrups and their special drinks are creative and tasty without being too sweet [like they do at Charbucks] Breakfast food is varied with mostly bagels, muffins, and egg dishes. We had the Johnny Utah chicken wrap with bourbon Sriracha sauce and the Johnny Appleseed wrap with apple and honey mustard. Both of the wraps had lively, refreshing and unique flavors.
