I'm actually astonished at the true lack of respect and compassion displayed at this establishment. To start, I pulled up and saw the manager lecturing the employees right there smack dab in the middle of the dining room. So that was a bit disturbing off rip. Let me set the scene. I literally went through the drive thru twice and didn't get a response even after screaming into the speaker. I then tried to go inside, but an even more disturbing thing happened. I knock on the door AND INSTEAD OF OPENING IT TO ALLOW ME TO ORDER, a very large blonde man with a neck beard smiled at me through the window in such a way that I was shaken to my core and decided to turn around, go back to my car, and try the drive thru once more. I tried, and didn't receive a response. That's when I chugged along to the first window, then the second, just to find out that they are closed. Their sign on the door says they close at MIDNIGHT. This took place at 10:27 pm. I am very disappointed seeing as I fought extremely hard to get my food, and ended up with a little bit of trauma and the means to write this review. I'm only giving this restaurant 2 stars because this is my first negative experience here within my lifetime living in Chardon. read more

After hearing all the talk of the new McDonald's Big Arch burger, I decided to try it. The patties were not as big as I've heard, maybe this location uses Big MAC patties, there was about 1/2 an inch all of bun all around the patties. Very little lettuce and can McDonalds please stop with the pathetic dill pickles? They are razor thin and just not good. The sauce was nothing to write home about and they should use Big MAC sauce. The bun was dry and very chewy. Overall, this is a bad hamburger. I would say it's the worst burger of all the fast-food burgers. At almost $10, it's a crime. The fries; old, cold and bad. read more

Food here is very good!!! Egg Mc Muffin's come out fresh & hot!! Grandpa is always friendly & service is very good!!! Problem with this place is not comfortable!!!! I'm learning how to use the app in-store. The scanner at the kiosk wasn't working. I asked an employee to help, and he kindly got it to work in order to use the app code. The order went through. There was no receipt paper. When the order was ready the lady giving out the bags asked me for my number and I told her there was no receipt. The service has taken a huge dive in the past few months. You place your order and then wait in the pick up line up to 20 minutes like today. They bring out my order and it is not my order, more wait time. read more

Every time I give this location another shot they never fail to disappoint and remind me why it's better to drive a little farther to ANY other McDonalds. Doesn't matter the time of the or how slow they are, they always mess up my order or forget condiments/utensils/ordered items. The front chaser was closing at 9:30 even the sign and website said they closed at 10:30. second we had a group that went in abt two minutes before we did and they were served and sat down. and then consistently lied to us that their store was closed, even tho there were workers manning the drive thru and cooking and serving other groups except us. The customer service was awful, and they did not care about trying to serve us even tho that's their job that they get paid for. read more

I don't do fast food often so when I do I like to get good food. The Chardon McDonalds used to be good when it was independently owned. Can't believe how bad it is since "The Rubber City" took ownership. I have tried a few times, more than I want but, today I hope I leaned my lesson. So gross. One thing they are is consistent. You can count on getting cold chewy fries and terrible service. Horrible. chicken nuggets, 2 fries lopsided fish sandwich and two cokes almost 20 bucks. Have not been there for a bit as they were awful in the past. Well they are still awful. The fries were cold under cooked and slimy. They can not get an order right to save their lives. My son can't eat cheese, and this is about the 5 time they have put cheese on his sandwich with the tag that clearly say no cheese. How hard is it to do this, come on, be better. I hope they close for good and we get an new place with an owner with some integrity and who cares. As of now they are just wasting real-estate in the center of town. Everbody has off days especially in this business so they aren't always perfect (but usually better than any other fast food restaurant in Chardon.) Especially for breakfast food. This time was exceptional though I got there about 10:50am and placed order for 2 sausage egg (& added cheese biscuit's). The nice lady informed me that there would be a bit of a wait because the biscuits were not finished baking. She asked if I might want the above but on a Mcmuffin. I said I'll wait . Paid for it & pulled forward to wait with another customer who apparently also wanted biscuits. It took between 10 to 15 minutes & we both received our orders. I can't speak for him but mine were FANTABULOUS !!! Fresh, piping hot, light & fluffy, & moist with a crisp exterior. Scrambled egg patty was light & fluffy, sausage hot & moist but not greasy, with cheese melted to perfection. Just a great job all the way around ! I wish I took pictures That said McDonald's always has decent to good biscuits (though not as good as my Southern Grandma's or mine) & always blow KFC's out of the water. But these were probably the best I have ever had at a fast food restaurant (including Popeye's) & to be honest any number of casual diner type places (Waffle House excluded but theirs are griddled to crisp them up & heck they are from Georgia after all). read more

honestly i found this quite funny, still pretty inconvenient tho. so it's a monday night, 9:45. i pull up to mcdonald's. the little automated voice about their specials played so i was waiting to order. 15 mins went by, no one has helped me yet, cars were starting to line up behind me. there were employees running out the back door messing around so i knew people were there (mind you it was 10pm at this point, they close at 11pm). so i pull up to the front window, wait a lil bit more, and an employee looking very surprised and asked me if i had an order. i heard A LOT of yelling in the back of the restaurant, i also see other employees running around. i told the employee that no i didn't order because no one spoke to me on the little ordering speaker thing. he LITERALLY told me "it's past 9pm at mcdonald's, we're all sitting on our a*ses". he took my order and walked away. so i just pulled up to the second window, some other employee was there. he also asked me if i had ordered. i told him the situation and he told me the kid who helped me at the first window didn't even put in my order. the second window boy was very apologetic, and gave me my food for free. i know for a FACT hunter was NOT there. idk the kid personally, but that boy busses his butt. he like runs the show, and does a very good job doing so. he has to be in like his 20's, very nice and personable. he would NEVER let any of that sitting around shii slide. he is my favorite mcdonald's employee. he must not work mondays. long story short, don't go to mcdonald's past 9pm on a monday i guess. go when hunter is there instead. read more

The last time I had a Big Mac, it only cost $2.00. Today I splurged & ordered a Big Mac at the Chardon location at the drive thru. It was a slow day. I was the only car in the line. I had to wait, while the "crew" was talking to each other. I thought, well, they are probably waiting for my burger to be made. Wrong! When I finally got my Big Mac, it was COLD & COLD Big Macs are the worst!! You can taste the flour in the bun, it had no sauce, the patties were like rubber! It was the worst Big Mac ever! Normal McDonalds hot food fast good place to sit down and eat been here a few times after taking people shopping

Just when I thought the Chardon McDonald's couldn't get any worse, new ownership took over. Every time I go, I have been served cold fries, I ate a quarter pounder and had a puddle of grease at the bottom of the carton, and the people serving acted like customers were a burden. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant, including one that got permanently shut down for health violations. Save yourself the heartburn and go elsewhere. Haven't been to McDonald's in Chardon since last November and was disappointed in how they changed it. Got rid of the fireplace that have it the cozy feeling, also took out partitions for privacy and made it a great big open dining room with flimsy plastic chairs. Had to wait twice as long as normal because of the kiosk orders. Decor is lousy. Will not ever go back! read more
