The first time we visited seemed nice. It was a yelp elite event. I was impressed that it was disabled and lbgtq friendly, supports better, peaceful cute little coffee shop. The second time was uncomfortable because Karen was loudly spouting some pretty hateful and discriminatory opinions of political and religious nature. Normally I try to hold space for people's opinions. We learn a lot from each other just by listening, and it's nice to get an expanded perspective when we're open to other people's experiences and another point of view. BEANS is NOT this kind of environment. Sadly. It's like the owner is trying to out-Woke her own self. I'm lbgtq and disabled. What's happening here is not the kind of advocacy we need. We don't create safe spaces by hating on everyone who is not just exactly like us. Most of us just want to not have constant conflict, confrontation and political or social strife. Standing up for others rights is one thing. Intentionally creating discord is quite another. This experience is not great for anyone with anxiety, or needs peace and calm, with a sensory processing disorder or preference to avoid conflict. Hate doesn't need a seat at the table. Kind of done with that. I'm not coming back. The coffee is good though. So are the baked treats. Had a lot of potential. read more

I love to support a local coffee shop, so when I was passing through Clearfield, I made it a point to stop by Bean's Coffee. It definitely has the small business feel and hospitality; there was one person working the shop-taking orders, preparing the drinks and keeping things humming. I ordered a hot tea and a cake pop then learned that those cake pops are made onsite and are larger than any others I've seen. That's kind of a fun claim to fame. One of the walls is impressively stocked with shelves of different syrups, so you can request any wild combination of flavors to make your drink your very own-something I know locals really appreciate and order frequently. The ambience was ok-they were decorated for Christmas with all things grinch related. We might have come just as they were moving inventory, because there were lots of boxes stacked up in the seating area and a big ladder off to the side. There are different seating arrangements-tables and chairs as well as larger chairs along the walls to invite you to stay awhile. On another wall, there are gift-shop type trinkets, coffee you can buy and take back home and some jewelry items. I love this coffee shop! The employee that helped us today (Amanda) was the friendliest person ever! She greeted us immediately with a smile and helped us out when we told her it was our first time there. She gave us some great recommendations and told us about some really neat events the coffee shop does (e.g. cake decorating classes, paint night, tarot reading, etc.). I think it would be so fun to sip on some coffee while doing these activities. After hearing Amanda's recommendations, we decided to go with the cinnamon latte, pecan latte, two oreo cookie lattes (without coffee) for my kids, and two turkey w/cheddar cheese croissants. We decided to go with the iced lattes because unlike other places, they actually make their ice with coffee! No more watered down iced coffees! I have issues with milk, so it was nice that they had milk alternatives (I went with oat milk). While she was preparing our drinks and food, we took a gander at what else was in the shop. They sold all sorts of different things from necklaces to water bottles to crystals. I really liked the mojo of this little coffee shop. There were also plenty of seating (comfortable seating) and even a couple of tables outside if you prefer that. Amanda brought our food and drinks to us and we decided to stay and eat our croissants there. They were so flaky and delicious! They came with mayo and mustard which totally hit the spot. I'd definitely get the croissant again and so would my husband, but he wished it came with more meat. I'm sure that's something that could be requested though. I'm so glad I know about this gem now. Several weeks back we were driving back from visiting Antelope Island Park and wanted an iced coffee. Searched and found Beans in Clearfield. After parking and approaching the business, we were shocked and dismayed to see the all the windows covered in political hate speech and slogans. Needless to say, that was most unwelcoming and unwanted. We did an immediate U turn and didn't look back. Don't promote division and hate. A cup of coffee is about relaxing and destressing. Okay. This isn't your standard coffee place. You have got to go try them out! We stop in every time we drive by during minimal traffic times to get their strawberry cake pops and a delicious fruit smoothie as well as their mocha madness! I swear their smoothies are real fruit. I've had the mango and the peach so far and can't wait to try all the other flavors. The strawberry cake pop is our favorite but all the others are delicious as well. Oh and don't forget, they are MASSIVE cake pops too! They also have cupcakes that are moist and full of flavor. What an awesome coffee shop! I love this place. It is quiet and the coffee, pastries, and other food are so good. Everything is made fresh, the owner is unbelievably kind and knows her coffee and baking. I love to come here as a stop for coffee to-go or to sit and enjoy while working. Wi-Fi, great seating, and the space isn't cramped. One of the best things about Bean's Coffee is it is one of the only shops that carries LIQUID cinnamon syrup for my preferred latte. There is a great selection of syrups for sale, coffee beans (they will grind to your preference if you would like), and other things for sale (see photos) that make great gifts. This little coffee shop is the cutest and very clean. The owner and other baristas are really friendly and personable. I've gone twice now and to be completely honest, I definitely came back the second time for the cake pops. THEY ARE HUGE!! This time I tried a drink which I will be back for that too. I stopped here on a Sunday morning. The interior is very well decorated. There were a few people coming and going, and I sat and drank my iced Samoa cookie drink on site. I thought the drink was pretty good. If you like your coffee sugary this is a good place. I could actually taste the coffee and not just the sugar. Their specialties all seem to be based on candy bars. I noticed they have jars full of different items that you can use for tea. I assume you can combine them to create the tea you desire. I was not in the market for tea so I skip that part. Overall the coffee was good and the people were very nice. I will definitely be back if I am in the area. I picked up a cupcake for my daughter. We moved to Utah 9 months ago and found this gem! Veteran owned, woman owned, local business! They have so many flavors and selections! The ice is frozen coffee ice cubes! They make their bread and biscuits and cake pops and other bakery items all from scratch and it's so good! My kids love it and so do I! Sometimes I come in and the kids read some books from the shelf and we get cute handmade gifts and other creative items as gifts or for ourselves. It's a calm atmosphere and I prefer it over Starbucks or any big chain any day. Where else can you get a strawberry cheesecake flavored latte or anything you can think of! My husband and I tried out this place early in the morning the day after Christmas. We're from out of town and wanted to support a local business. I'm so glad we spotted this place while driving around. The customer service was excellent. The cashier explained that the shop was a local female & veteran owned spot. She explained that the bread was made in house. It was so good. Since we were the only ones in at the time, our order was very fast. I loved seeing the mugs they had on display for sale. I discovered this place 3 days ago and I've been back every morning since. Where to start? Firstly, they have a very extensive menu of sugar free flavor options. As a type 1 diabetic, this is a HUGE find. Most coffee places won't have any, or they'll just have vanilla. I took a picture of all the sugar free options because I was so excited! I've had iced coffee with sugar free blueberry flavoring and their house-made sugar free whipped cream on top. It's delicious, and zero carb!! They also have a good selection of savory breakfast biscuits and sandwiches. I normally wait in long fast food lines for a sausage and cheese biscuit. I'm going here instead now. The price is the same, and this way I can support a local business. The staff are super friendly, too! Every time I'm in here it's a very chill experience. Everyone stays pretty safe and distanced, but that doesn't stop them from being kind to everyone who walks in. Long story short-- PLEASE give this place a try! I've seen this coffee shop a time or two, but hadn't stopped by yet. With COVID-19 I've been trying to support local coffee shops every week (because can you imagine a life without coffee!?) I've got to say, I'm a fan!!! I typically drink black coffee or americanos. Their iced coffee was not bitter at all. It was slightly sweet without sugar. It reminded me of summer. Great coffee shop! We had the Casper and the Lizzie Borden (Halloween themed inside right now!) and the turkey croissant sandwich. It was all very good! Oh and a blueberry muffin that was warm and fresh. The turkey sandwich had plenty of meat and the coffees were awesome. Not impressed at all.... walked in 15 minutes before closing and was turned away because they had already "cleaned up" and were just waiting for the "door dash" person.... I told them they should turn off their "open" sign and the girl said "it's only on for the door dash person". Sad because I had never been and that was my first impression, felt like I was imposing by trying to give them my business.... This is such a cute little place! I love that when you walk in its so peaceful and not chaotic like a Starbucks normally is. The barista there was so sweet and fun to talk to. Not to mention my coffee came out really quick and tastes super delicious. I'm used to Starbucks strong flavor, so the coffee isn't as strong in flavor but still very delicious.
