My first visit was for a standard cleaning. X-rays showed a crack in a molar which would require an onlay. The hygienist then completely chipped off that cracked portion during the cleaning, so the onlay became more urgent. The price quote for an onlay sounded high, so I double checked with my dental insurance and was told a much lower figure for that procedure. When I returned for the procedure, it took several minutes to get some agreement between the office and insurer on the price, so then they told me they couldn't see me today and I needed to schedule another appointment. The patient experience is terrible here and I was very underwhelmed by the cleaning, even before they chipped my tooth. Save some time and avoid overpaying, and go to a more reputable dentist. read more

The medical staff members are generally very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. The administrative staff and management, however, are barely able to veil their persistent crusade to bleed as much money from patients as possible. And frankly the medical staff is party to this. They document things in such a way that it ends up not being covered by insurance or otherwise costing many hundreds of dollars. After dodging pitches for various costly services that I did not need or want from the dentists and management at every visit, I finally decided to seek dental care elsewhere. About 10 months ago, I was told that I needed a "deep" cleaning, but that it would cost ~$700. I told them I wanted to try the normal cleaning that's covered by insurance first, and then if that didn't resolve the issue (my gums were inflamed) I would return for the deep clean. The dentist agreed, and the standard cleaning turned out to be all that I needed - inflammation dissipated and I've had no issues since. But when I called to make an appointment for a standard cleaning (10 months later), the office informed me that they had documented in my file that I "needed a deep cleaning" and that insurance would not cover a standard cleaning as a result; the only option they presented was to get the deep cleaning - which I have absolutely no need for and is also rather costly. Seems to me that Beam Street documents patient care in a manner that ensures maximum profits and not with a patient-centered approach. If you just want your teeth whitened, maybe this is the place for you. But I would strongly recommend seeking real dental treatment from a more professional and less money-oriented dentist group with an approach that emphasizes patients' best interests. read more

Didn't see them clean their scanning machine after they were done using it and, when I asked they said they wiped it down once I stepped out, which isn't true because I was watching the entire time she was with another patient not once did I see her clean it I was scanned two on two different machines and X-ray machine they had me do two times which did had a plastic on it. The second equipment she used there was NO Protector on the probe that she put in my mouth while I laid there and she scanned my mouth. read more

Best whim decision I ever made. Atmosphere: The office is very clean, modern and professional. Service: Dr. Kunen and her staff are super friendly. There is never a wait and the visits do not take long at all (save the consultation, bonding and debonding visits). It's a bummer that we all wear masks now because I want everyone to see how beautiful my new smile looks! The studio is really cool and was left in awe with the type of technology they use to make sure you get the best smile--seriously, it was mind-blowing. I would also liken the atmosphere to a spa but for your teeth! The consultation takes about 45 minutes and the following visits are much shorter--less than 10 minutes. But when they noted I needed fillings, they tried to refer me out to someplace in Jersey. So glad I followed my friends advice and made an appointment for an evaluation here at Beam St!! I have been bothered by my uneven and mismatched front teeth as a result of some bad dental work I had done a long time ago. So I went in to see what they could do for me. Everyone was so supportive and helpful...from the front office to the hygienist and most especially Dr Kunen! She put me at ease right away and I could sense I was in great hands. And she did not disappoint! Feels and looks like a whole new me! And after so long I am no longer self conscious when asked to "smile for the camera!" Nala might just be the best hygienist I have ever had so far in my life. She was very nice and through with the cleaning process. I normally do not like the water build-up in my mouth during cleaning but that was not an issue here as she made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. I came to Beam St. with a friend's referral and I got clear aligners under the provision of Dr. Jason Lin. Dr. Lin is very friendly and he is very straight to the point kind of guy, and he will tell you exactly what you need and attend to your needs. After a year of treatment, I got my perfect smile back, and it feels awesome. Overall, my experience at Beam Street was great! What an incredible experience! I walk by Beam St USQ everyday and have been wanting to correct my smile for the past five years. I had several consolations over the years and was not able to find an office that was affordable and/or inspired my trust. I finally decided to try Beam St after researching and looking into the practitioners and methods and wow ... I am so impressed and happy that I did. The consultation was wonderful; it is free, which is a bonus, but it is handled with such care and attention. Beam St is a beautiful facility. Everyone is extremely friendly and I've heard great things prior. I have a friend that does her whitening there and another friend that has Invisalign and they really spoke highly of their experience. I was so excited to try them out once I realized they offer cleaning and that my insurance covers it. Nahla was great and I enjoyed my cleaning with her. I did have the Invisalign consultation and the young lady that walked me through that process was very sweet and answered all my questions. However, I did not enjoy the financing conversation with their in house financing coordinator, she's very pushy and oversells the process a lot, so some stars were lost for that interaction as it was very aggressive and awkward. I am also a little disappointed that when I provided my insurance information, they emailed me and let me know that my insurance covered my cleanings, but when I received my bill I was extremely surprised at the amount of out of pocket that is owed. I have great insurance and have never owed more than $40 for anything dental related - I was extremely surprised to receive a bill for several hundred dollars. Very disappointing. Well I did enjoy the experience, I cannot afford to pay several hundred dollars for a dental cleaning which should have fully been covered by my insurance. First and last experience here. read more
