In the Jacaranda Square plaza exists this mega outlet style store which is basically offers major brands of clothing, purses, toys and luggage on deep discounted prices. They advertise savings up to 70% off other stores' prices. On a grind to find warm jogging hoodies at a decent price and thought Bealls was a smart choice. The men's clothing section was immediately to the left of the service desk that offered multiple colored long sleeve hoodie rack on clearance all big brands from $16.00 to $20.00, which was exciting. Grabbed a few 2X sizes off the rack and went to the fitting room which was dirty and needed a simple sweeping, but at least it had a bench and a hook to hang the clothing. The Reebok was so small I could barely squeeze my head through the top then I noticed the tag says 'Made in Cambodia', which usually, based on my experience, means the sizes run extremely small. Anyways, unfortunately no sale today and will continue my journey for well fitting and well made attire elsewhere. read more

Located at the location where Staples used to be, Bealls is a big store with a limited amount of merchandise. It sells clothing for men, women, and children, but it also sells handbags, shoes, perfume, housewares, gifts, glasses, chocolate and food items, etc. Compared to some other discount stores in the area (i.e Ross, Burlington), I find the place to look kind of empty and understocked. The woman's clothing section has an abundance of plus sizes but I did not see any petit. There was no work wear or pretty dresses. Generally, I was not a fan of the woman's casual clothes at all. So what was good about the store? My boys (now 13 and 14 years old) always seem to find some clothes to buy. They usually find nice button downs and Guy Harvey t-shirts at great prices. Great deals are always good but at their age it's nice to get good deals since they tend to grow out of their clothes very quickly. Lines can be slow but the staff is friendly. I believe there is a rewards program but I don't think we shop there enough to take advantage of it. read more

WHAT'S WITH THE A?: I'm no stranger to Bealls (supposedly pronounced 'bells' but it has an A in the middle of the word - is that a 'silent' A?) Outlets. I've purchased clothing for myself and for hubby, as well as housewares/gifts for ourselves and friends. NEW STORE: I'm on Beall's mailing list so I received an email - and snail mail - alerting me to the 11/19 grand opening of the store on the northwest corner of Pine Island and Sunrise Boulevard. I stopped there on Wednesday and the store was filled with customers and Santa-hat-wearing managers from other Bealls stores! They had a lot of foot traffic for a soft opening. I had to get in and out (short work break) but I still managed to buy clothing and decorative items. I saw a large Buddha statue and the price was only $49 - a bargain! - but the top his head was missing color from mishandling. I pointed it out and they discounted it by 15% - that Buddha was $37. WOW! COUPONS: Today I returned - their snail mail marketing material did not offer coupons for the soft opening but rather for today (and plenty of customers were peeved about that on Wednesday - lucky for me I get their emails and I had 2 coupons to use on Wednesday). So you know the store was busy today too - people who didn't use their coupons were giving them to customers waiting on line to pay...how nice is that? INVENTORY: I plan on going to the Yelp Elite holiday party and purchased a couple of toys from Bealls to donate to the toy drive. Bealls offers clothing for men, women, and kids; bathing suits and lingerie; shoes and slippers; statues/vases/photo frames/framed art; toys; luggage; cologne; hand bags, etc. It's hard to walk out with only what you planned on buying. INCENTIVES:They make you aware that it pays to shop there and they reward you for that decision. Bealls has a customer reward card where points are earned for each purchase and when you reach certain thresholds cash rewards print out on the receipt - today I redeemed a $5 cash reward and am already building points towards the next cash reward. This is not the largest store I've ever been to but they have a pretty good selection, the place is clean and the prices seemed reasonable. Given that it's the holiday season, I think they might have had a few more employees working. I never encountered anyone working on the floor. Other than that, no complaints. I'd definitely come back. read more
