The clerk seemed a bit on the shy side, she did great us when we entered and asked if she could assist with anything, then remained silent until we approached the register to complete our purchase. But I'm a shopper that prefers this, I like to shop without pressure or someone hovering over my shoulder, so she gained a star from me! Overall I feel those who are crafty can make most of this stuff that is sold here, but if your lazy just come here and purchase it.

I now tend to only eat what I find at Smart Shopper. I especially like their vegan/vegetarian options which are cheap here but very expensive everywhere else. I love the eclectic mix of items, you never know what they will be selling. It's like a treasure hunt. Some people complain that some items are out of date or close to, But in 4 years I have only had 2 bad items and both were chips that tasted a little funny since I waited 6 months to long to consume them since I bought them. They say you can return items that are bad, but I never have since prices are so cheap. The staff is wonderful and they all seem happy to work here. They seem like a family. Three suggestions for people shopping here: Don't buy 10 of one item if you have not tried it before. Not everyone will like the Diablo Doritos. If you do like it, go back in and buy more because they may not have any tomorrow. Pick your shopping cart wisely. Some have bad wheels and will make for a wobbly and noisy shopping experience. I make close to 100k per year and this is still my favorite store. Sure, Trader Joes, Whole Foods and Publix is nice, but $30 worth of goods at Smart Shopper would cost you $90 at the other places. I always leave with someone when I visit this store. There's GREAT options for gifts, and quite a few Florida/Tampa styled gift options, which we love for our friends and family that live out of state. The employees have always been friendly when I've been here, many times there's an employee walking around the floor offering help or a dressing room if needed. The pricing for items is all over the place since it's a bunch of different small businesses - but I would say most of it is reasonable. I've shopped some of these small businesses at markets and stuff around Tampa, so the pricing is pretty on par for what you'd find.

They tell you if you can't find what you are looking for at Two Krazy Chicks to go to Two Ole Hens Too. Two Ole Hens is their other store in San Antonio. At Two Krazy Chicks, they also have different crafty classes you can attend. They hold them on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They have door hangers signs, wood crafts, porch leaners and range from $35-$65. This is a great store to check out where it's a bunch of crafters who bring their crafts to sell, so it's definitely something different everytime, and it's dog friendly. It's come to fruition w/ approximately 25 vendors-- most local. Individual arts & craft entrepreneurs rent space here. Their merchandise includes the following, although the list is far from complete: soaps; candles; bath salts; jewelry; handbags; wall art; sculptures; paintings; prints; metal & industrial art & lamps; lighted shadow boxes; wooden bowls & vases; glass art; baby & adult clothing; chocolate gifts; Pampered Chef products; fashion accessories; & so much more! Take a look @ the PICS! With ever-changing merchandise, you'll want to stop in on a regular basis. There are NO CASH REFUNDS offered, so buy carefully. Exchanges w/ the original vendor are possible. As you walk around you will find all of the major retailers and some good food places. I got a chance to stop and rest at one of the many seating areas when my wife went in to shop at her favorites. I also got a chance to take advantage of the Military Veteran discounts at some of the stores. Many are offered.

Their products, service, organization, & cleanliness are standard across the board. This location; however, is on the small side, which is strange since it serves the quickly growing area of New Tampa (not far from the Pasco County line). Management here could do better to be more visible. Of the many Publix stores I frequent over two counties, thus far this one's management & employees have been the least visible & friendly. HOWEVER, the middle-aged gentleman cleaning carts & greeting patrons as they enter the store is WONDERFUL! Thank you, management, for hiring him & blessing us w/ him. Regardless of my mood, he makes me smile each time we converse:) There is a pharmacy here, curbside pickup, & even a catering area (table & chairs) for meetings w/ a knowledgeable staffer. I've never seen an in-store catering area at any other Publix-- it's perfect for party-planning, Christenings, graduations, birthday celebrations, weddings, baby showers, etc. Also available at this store are the dreadful job-costing self checkouts for customer convenience. All Publix stores change their Weekly Specials on Wednesdays. And each has in place a policy for customers to receive any wrong-priced (incorrectly scanned) item for free-- limit one per item type. Online ordering for store pickup is quick & easy. The bakery staff here, and at all Publix locations, will special order items. If they won't, contact corporate for a revision. (I was denied certain varities of no sugar added pies at certain locations until I sent an email; corporate was always quick to respond & assist-- an impressive Florida company!) The store is bright & clean. Parking is ok; it's a smallish, very busy lot due to all the successful enterprises located within this same New Tampa Center plaza. They include a very active McDonald's in eye shot, the Minerva Indian restaurant, Coast Dental, H & R Block, Caldwell Bankers, GNC, & others.
