You can park along the street, as there are no signs prohibiting it, but the vehicles do block the majority of the right lane. We were greeted upon entry and checked on during our perusing, but before entering we were also greeted by a Calico cat on the ramp leading to the entry door. They demanded a tax in the form of pets, which of course my wife had to oblige. The place is an older two-story home, which was obvious by the creeks of the floorboards. They have a lot of items to look at, which we love in a store; however, it would seem they are more geared to children with all the holiday items from Easter, to Halloween and Christmas. In the beginning, we were not impressed because the holiday items seemed to overwhelm the senses and draw attention from the actual antiques we were there to find, but the place eventually grew on us. Unfortunately, we did not find that had to have item and even though we enjoyed the time, we will not be adding this place to our favorites list to return yearly.

The sign beside busy Land O'Lakes Blvd reads "Famous Treasures," but this vintage store is called Shabby Shack. The female owner opened it in mid 2015, if I'm not mistaken. Lots of vintage items & antiques here-- each room is filled w/ history. Not as many furniture pieces as I generally like to see, but definitely some quality pieces. Unfortunately, I didn't take pics of inside this house (turned into an antique shoppe). PRICES here are the most REASONABLE I've seen pretty much anywhere (& I antique browse all over the state). I picked up a very heavy mid century "looking" (non antique) starburst side table that I can paint white to use w/ my 1960's refinished patio chair set. I was charged just $5. Not too "shabby"-- lol. Will definitely return whenever I'm in the area!

Me and the daughter headed out to visit the place and it's actually larger than what it looks like from the outside. Things are kind of all over the place with no real organization. And it's hard to get to certain things because it's sort of messy. They do have a lot to choose from and the man working was very nice. We enjoyed our visit and we found a vase.

There is definitely a lot to see here but it seemed like as I walked though the booths I got the feeling of "been there done that" - I do this a lot so I have a routine and an eye for what what what I collect - I never enter one of these thrift shops uhm I mean "antique store" without a plan I rarely buy anything except for what I collect, if I have a need for something old, something new I shop on eBay or Amazon. I always get hyped before the hunt begins but when the hunt mean going through a lot of garage sale items I get frustrated and bored and unfortunately I found a lot of that stuff here. (The vintage store next door shares that honor.) This may not be where you come to find higher end antiques, but there's definitely a great deal of vintage odds & ends here. There's even salvage. Hours are 11 AM to 5 PM-- FRIDAY THRU SUNDAY. Not only is there a small house filled w/ merchandise, but step outside under the carports to browse the large quantity of additional merchandise. What might you discover? Glassware, bakeware, & serving sets; toys & games; miscellaneous wall decor; furniture; lamps & lighting features; tools; clothing & shoes; costume jewelry; small appliances; vases; golf clubs; misc sporting goods; wood pens & cutting boards (both new); candles, homemade soaps, & rag dolls (all new), etc-- SEE ALL THE PICS Seriously LOW PRICES on everything, yet there were still many items discounted up to 50%. The female owner was very sweet & her Mexican hairless puppy was fascinating-- I couldn't resist snapping a picture:) Will we return when in the area again? Of course! My buddy was able to pick up a legitimate mid-century metal, butterfly wall sculpture for almost nothing. Although he's going to keep it for his home, now that it's been cleaned up & he's added three glass vintage votive candleholders, he could easily sell it & make a large profit on it. This is antiquing and vintage shopping at its finest, with a combination of many local merchants selling their goods in different stalls throughout the large space. Because there are many merchants represented here, the pricing can be extraordinarily inexpensive in some stalls while a bit overpriced in others. But overall, the pricing is pretty fair. I love looking through each stall and finding little treasures you just can't find anywhere else. On this trip, I found what I was looking for - a milk glass pedestal bowl - but it was a little overpriced compared to the previous thrift shop I had seen it at, so I passed on it. But my favorite time to shop at the Mercantile is just before the holidays. They always have such lovely and unique gifts for my family and friends (and myself). The staff at the cash register are always so friendly and pleasant. And they make the experience even more delightful.

This multiple room house is filled w/ antique & vintage finds ranging from furniture to jewelry-- to everything in between. Prices appeared reasonable & the store is clean & well organized. Unlike the small antique shops in downtown Zephyrhills, there's so much more here to browse. And this owner is far more personable. Stopped in today on Father's Day with my daughter's and they had a nice Father's Day promotion which was special to me. All the staff working were and always are nice & helpful!! The store is pretty large, so you can plan on spending up to an hour easily just browsing throughout the store. They have furniture, antiques, glassware, clothing, lighting and all sorts of collectables for sale and more!!! Great place to check out while on vacation, on a rainy day, or to escape the Florida summer heat!! Definitely recommend this business and always look forward to shopping again!!!
