I have been a patient of Dr. Beaird's since she was at the previous practice and I am so happy she opened up her own! The decor is clean, bright, and modern. It's a nice change from the stingy office she was in before. The reception staff and assistants are all very friendly and easy to speak to. You can ask any of them a question and they will either know the answer or know how to get the answer for you; waiting around for solutions isn't done here. Dr. Beaird is a wonderful and caring doctor who truly knows her stuff. Also, you can't get her humor or personality anywhere else. I recommend her to anyone who needs a dermatologist. read more

I went in for services on June 30th of last year (2017) and never received a bill from them. I called them on November 20th, 2017, and was informed by them I do not have a balance to pay. Then, in July this year (over a year after the appointment) they suddenly decided to send me a bill for $163.00. When I called and questioned them about it, they claimed that they went to a new billing company sometime late last year. I called my insurance about the situation, and they confirmed that Beaird had in fact dropped the ball essentially when it came down to a simple check from them sent less than a week after my appointment that Beaird never cashed in the midst of all the transitioning between billing departments. Bottom line: Beaird Dermatology is nothing short of unprofessional, and covering up their inexcusable mistakes doesn't help much. read more

Would never go back. As a young adult going in to find some help with acne, I was insanely disappointed. The front desk never greeted me, and I stood waiting at the counter for someone to help me. No one looked up, no one asked me for my name, I had to go "hello?" for anyone to address me. I've taken my business elsewhere and I'm pretty upset with the whole experience. The lady I saw was not Dr. Beaird herself, but one of the other female physicians. She talked way more about how she goes to Hawaii, vacations all year, and how her skin is perfect now rather than help me with my skin concerns. It was really laughable how awful the service was. She recommended me to use topical Benzoyl Peroxide AND a very strong % Retinol to use together for my acne. This mixture left a very intense burned rash all over my concern areas and my problems worsened. I was left with cracked, flaking skin for up to 2 weeks. I'm an Esthetician now after this experience, and know that the pairing was not supposed to be combined and her directions for use left me with that horrible burned rash. Good place to go if you're swimming in cash and only there for the botox or injections it seems. Didn't help with my skin at all and was a waste. read more

Couldn't talk to humans each time I called, had to go in to make a 1st appointment. Saw Dr. Robinson which pushes products, talked AT me not to me, and then talked ABOUT me to the nurse rather than to me as a human. I get they look at skin up close, but its odd to have someone in your face for the whole time. Poor office management - never could call & talk to a human. My follow up was cancelled via voicemail I didn't get until late, though got a text message from them w/reminder? Voicemail asked for reschedule, still couldn't talk to a human. Many times website appointment request failed, finally seemed to go through, email said it went in but wasn't finalized yet of course. Month later get a text saying my appt. is the next day 11/9 though I requested 11/2, which I gave up on when not seeing/hearing any confirmation. This is ridiculous. Pretty confident poor reviews like mine are never included on their website. read more

Do not listen to the negative reviews! I have been a patient of Callie's for awhile now and she's been nothing but helpful! I've struggled with acne for most of my life and tried other dermatologists and nothing compares to Beaird Dermatology! I am on the journey of accutane and my skin has gotten so much better and Callie and everyone there have been so helpful and caring! I haven't had one bad experience with them! 10/10 would recommend! I would highly suggest not using Beard Dermatology! After 9 months of visits I only saw assistants that shot me with steroids and every 6-8 weeks tried another medication which never worked. Seeing my medical doctor and having blood work done found my medical numbers all elevated!! If you have ANY medical issues this is NOT the place to go. My issue was psoriasis which the assistance were not knowledgeable about. Not sure why doctor never was available to see me. I was told she tells the assistance what to prescribe without seeing the patient. This facility needs to be investigated! I will NEVER return! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would for sure! Been here once before and had an excellent experience BUT I saw PA Tracy! This time I saw PA Kelly and she was horrible and probably fresh out of school! Failed the HIPAA test and told my spouse what I said about them and then came back and told me what they said back. VIOLATION! HOPE she's not working there anymore. I would not go to this business it seems that all they care about is money. I contacted them twice and once recently spoke to the practice manager asking for a call back from the doctor so that I could determine before I brought my daughter to see one of the doctors and they refused and told me that they wouldn't have the doctor call me back. The funny thing about all this is I actually spoke to my daughters regular doctor and she has no problems making call backs and it was her that recommended us calling this doctor. What a joke to think this business and doctors think they are better than us, I think not. I just wanted to make you aware of thier business practices before thinking of having them treat you. Saw the PA and dr Beaird at two different appointments for basal cell skin cancer removal. Both times appointments were prompt and info given fully. Office is easy to park at, elevator and stair access. Inside office is different. Not pretentious and uptight. More open exposed pipes and white white white. Kind of factory like/ urban modern look PA and doctor were great with extremely nervous patient. I watched the technique and care given and was pleased. After care explained well, results called in promptly. Very friendly and funny people, no one "fake and plastic" looking like other derm offices. Very good. read more

Updating this review so upset. I brought my son here for Molluscum which is a contagious virus that causes little bumps. They told me nothing you can do but pick them no treatment for this problem. My son started wrestling and couldn't pass the skin test bc of this virus the medical doctor said bring him to a new dermatologist and laughed at there solution for this problem he thought I was kidding. Staff was rude checked in on time and was told I was late we have been there 3 times there was a question about insurance an assistant repeatedly told me I would have to pay out of pocket the office manager came in and the first thing she said was you're not going to put a bad review on yelp I tried to ask a question she put her finger up and said shush instead of asking me how she could help with the problem we're having I asked if I could pay some of the money and she informed me that they do not except partial payment that unless I paid the whole amount they would not see me. when it was time to pay they were having a problem with the copy machine and left me standing there for seven minutes so I could pay the bill no one even acknowledged that I was standing there. Beaird Dermatology is the best of the best! I use to go to Derick Dermatology, but always felt like I was just a money sign to them and never a valued patient. I'll start by saying the staff was very nice and a nice facility . I saw the nurse assistant for a total of 15 minutes, the appointment felt rushed, so rushed that I forgot to ask all the questions I had. The doctor was not able to get the milia I had on my face out, at the time i thought no big deal they'll get it next time. I had gone to the dermatologist the year before for my regular check up and only paid my co pay. So I was shocked when I received a bill for almost $400.00, even though the doctor did even less! I was charged almost $200.00 for milia which was never removed! I have been trying to call and dispute this but have been playing phone tag for almost a month! read more

First it took 2 weeks to respond to my new patient appointment in which they called the day before my appointment only to tell me I had to reschedule because they weren't open during the hours they have posted, then I came in and one of their dermatologists refused to treat me because the slip I had from my work said that it was too legally binding so their was no recommendation or treatment given and I went on my way. This review is long overdue. I have seen Dr. Beaird a number of times and I continue to be impressed with how down-to-earth and sensible she is. Plus, my son had been struggling with a skin problem for 2 years, had seen 3 different doctors, including a 'pediatric dermatologist' ... Dr. Beaird saw him once, he was better within 5 days with the most simple treatment! There's a reason why her schedule's busy... and it's proven to be well worth the wait! I'm grateful that I found a dermatologist that I can trust and who diagnosed my problems. I went to a dermatologist in Elk Grove Village for years. In the last year he didn't touch my skin or do a full body check and as a result missed that I had skin cancer. Doctor Beaird diagnosed and took care of this right away. Even though I'm an older patient she hasn't once recommended or tried to sell me cosmetic surgery. Her office and staff are extremely friendly and professional. Not many people can say they "enjoy going to the doctor." When you go to this practice you are welcomed with a smile, made to feel you are valued as a patient and you are going to be well taken care of! They believe treating with kindness and patience! They also make sure any condition is taken care of 100 percent. Dr. B and Stephanie are a great team and are constantly educating themselves, staff and their patients. We have been patients at Dr's previous office for years. I tried to make an appointment for pretty immediate skin issue. The receptionist wouldn't schedule the appointment till late September asking for referral from my GP even though we have regular PPO in-network insurance. Dr. Beaird and Stephanie Tracey are some of the best in the business! I absolutely love them and Dr. Beaird's practice. Her independent practice is fantastic; offering the most knowledgable, innovative and effective skin care around. The moment you walk in, the staff at the reception desk greets you with a warm and inviting welcome. They are quick and efficient with check-in and seeing the patient to a room. The medical assistants are all very friendly and prompt to take vitals, prep for the procedure and document any patient needs for the doctor. My family and I have seen Dr. Beaird and Stephanie for many different skin situations over the years. They have treated us for wart removal, adult acne, yearly mole checks and an array of cosmetic procedures. Each situation has been properly diagnosed and treated effectively & quickly. I cannot say enough good things about them. My newest, favorite combination treatment is Laser Genesis, followed with PRP micro needling and PRP injections. Recommended by Dr. Beaird for its skin rejuvenating effects; it has been the best, most effective treatment in the appearance of my skin. This combo treatment has literally reversed the aging of my skin. I had 3 treatments about a month a part and by the 3rd treatment my skin has never looked better. My fine lines are less, my overall complexion is more even and plump and the bags under my eyes are less noticeable (btw, nothing has ever combated this). I am approaching 40 & was getting botox in my forehead every 3-4months for the last 3 years. I haven't had any in 7 +months because my skin has rejuvenated itself with the collagen production.
