I've been going to Renaissance Med Spa for Morpheus 8 treatments on a few surgical scars. The treatment is fantastic and I saw results from my first time alone, but what is more impressive is the level of care and consideration from the whole staff, especially Lisa, Elyse, and Gwen. Gwen Little, who performs my treatments, has many years of experience, is extremely knowledgeable, and took special attention to my skin type which is very prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Please do not go to this place if you care at all about your lips.. I received the most uneven, lopsided fillers from Denise and expressed my concerns not only right after my filler but a few days after. We all know bruising and swelling happens, but this filler was simply unevenly injected. It was so terrible I wanted to cry. I received opinions from a couple injections and they were shocked at how poorly the fillers were done. They indeed confirmed it was too much filler. I spent $300 dissolving my lips because it was that horrendous. I followed all guidelines (put arnica gel and took tables, avoided straws, etc) I texted Denise my injector and called the SPA multiple times to express my concerns before even writing a review. The manager, Lisa, called me back and was so rude to me. She did not once empathize with my experience, but in fact told me it was my fault "for not waiting 2 weeks". There was no accountability taken. Not even a partial refund. It breaks my heart to have such an experience and it sucks that this place doesn't care about its people, but just money. This place was recommended by one of my girlfriends. I didn't have a great experience at Dr. Steven Dayan's office downtown with fillers & was disappointed at their inflated price & lack of results. Alyse-front desk receptionist is very informative, helpful & even before i booked my first appointment with NP Sandra, Alyse explained few tips & advice on what not to do prior to getting fillers. Back in April 2018, I met with Sandra and she listened to my concerns & needs and gave me the voluminous lips that I wanted for some time. They had a special deal during that time so I took it upon myself to snatch that deal for future visits. Bruising, swelling, redness is to be expected as the lips is very vascular. Unfortunately,I got a hematoma on my bottom lip a week later & I called and spoke to Alyse about that. Although Sandra wasn't available during that time, she explained that RN Jamie is wonderful and would take care of that right away. I loved Jamie the moment I met her. She was friendly, honest & thoroughly explained what she was doing during the visit. She massaged the area until the hematoma went away, made sure other areas were okay, & gave me an ointment to prevent cracking & aid in healing process. I saw Jamie today for a touch up and described my new concerns around the other parts of my face. She explained why certain fillers won't fix specific wrinkles around mouth region & advised which ones would due to formula & molecular profile. She's not just trying to sell you a product if she doesn't believe it's going to work or help. I appreciate that honesty as these fillers & injections come at a hefty, steep price. She took care of my problem areas today, it was a painless procedure (I have high pain tolerance) & i couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you ladies for the great customer service ! I absolutely LOVE coming here! I am greeted with absolute kindness every time I come for my appointment. Elyse, the front desk coordinator, is so sweet and funny and is very knowledgeable about all the products and services and answers all the questions I have. This past Tuesday I went out of my way to hire an uber to make it here promptly. I'm a clear communicator and told the receptionist at the front desk that my driver was waiting for me and I simply needed to purchase a bottle of Latisse. I explained to her that I brought $100 in cash and that she could charge the remaining balance of $79 to my cc card. Instead of listening to me she took my $100 in cash and charged my Mastercard a total of $179. As she handed me my receipt she neglected to give me a receipt for the $100 in cash I handed her. I was inconvenienced for her mistake and one of the front desk staff Elise decided to instead adjust the charges back to $79 rather than simply handing me my $100 in cash back. The spa placed a hold of $179 on my cc card then charged me $79 as the adjusted price and kept my $100 in cash to boot! I literally watched in horror as my bank showed me the hold of $179 so on Wednesday I took yet another roundtrip uber ride all the way back here so I could have a hard copy of all the transactions and a separate copy of the cash they received. This past week was a complete nightmare for me as I had to make a few trips to my bank to add additional funds to my bank account to make sure all my bills would be paid and to keep an eye on my bank account in case the additional amount of the authorized transaction of $179 went through. All of this could have been avoided had they simply apologized once they charged $179 to my cc card and at that time simply handed me my money back in full which was the $100 cash I gave them. I spent $15 of my own money via multiple uber trips to collect all these receipts and then I had to replenish funds to my bank because a hold of $179 was placed on my bank account from Tuesday till this past Friday. No one issued me discounts toward future products for my inconvenience rather the front desk manager warned me to not even attempt to contest charges should anything go wrong because that would implicate me as an attempt to steal their product. This experience was truly negative and stressful. I won't wish to return here because everything was mishandled and this was a true example of poor customer service. No one here seemed to care how inconvenienced I was and not once was I offered a coupon for future product...all they seemed to care about was the money they made off of me. read more

I definitely needed to get this review out to people who would be interested in coming here to make sure they don't waste their time or money. I bought a Laser Hair removal package on Living Social for here back last June. It was a good deal and now I know why. I just had my last (8th) session for both areas that I purchased. I thought laser hair removal would actually remove the hair and prevent most, if not all, hair from growing back. Wrong. I still have hair in all the places I had laser treatment. At best, it's maybe a 50% reduction.I am not a very hairy person to begin with so that couldn't even be an argument. During my last session I come to find out that their guarantee which is 2 years of hair free is not the case if you bought a package on Social or Groupon. Such a shady practice. They lure you in with a deal and they don't even guarantee their work since you paid a discounted price? That's such garbage! I will have to pay additional if I want to come back for touch ups. No thanks! I'm not in the mood to pay them even more money for nothing! Service here is terrible, too. Most of the workers are rude and have major attitudes. I have no idea why. They definitely have no reason to be. Tina was one of the rudest estheticians I have ever encountered. Her demeanor is awful and she clearly has no people skills. One of the receptionists booked my second session appointment wrong in the computer. I had their card with the appt time written down as proof that I was right. She was arguing with me that I had it wrong, not her. Really?! Clearly there was no training here on customer service. So my "deal" on Living Social was no deal at all. I just wasted $300 and 10 months of sessions for virtually no hair removal at all. Save your time and money and avoid this place at all costs! read more

I have been going to this office for years. After reading all these negative reviews, I feel compelled to write a good one. First of all--the staff here is great, with one exception whom I try to avoid. Lisa, the office manager and receptionist is nice and accommodating, probably not over the top friendly; but knowledgeable, professional and courteous, which is really all I need. All the technicians are friendly, friendly and helpful. I have signed up for packages for laser and chem peel and they have suggested I postpone if I am going on vacation or will be in the sun. They are definitely more interested in me as a client then just trying to make money off of me. Theresa, the RN who administers injections is fantastic. Again, never trying to sell more than needed, always suggesting specials or deferring procedures based on life events. All of her work is very natural. I have even called for her opinion on other matters and she is helpful and honest. I would highly recommend this office, and believe me, I am a tough customer. read more

I have been a happy Renaissance Med Spa customer for over 4 years and received great chem peels and Botox treatments. I too bought packages and always receive great service and an ease of scheduling appointments. The spa has always been on time for my appointment and graciously accommodated me if I was occasionally tardy. In my youth I never thought I would be getting Botox but I was finding myself avoiding the mirror because I didn't want to see the lines between my eyebrows. After my first Botox treatment I was thrilled and felt more confident in my appearance. I have seen other friends get Botox specials elsewhere and their Botox'd area looked poor. The Renaissance Med Spa In Schaumburg, I would not recommend for anybody because first of all they don't send any appointment reminder and then if you forget then they will change $25 for no show up fees and they force you to pay otherwise they won't treat you. I just recently began seeing a fertility specialist, Dr. Michelle Pieper. She is great. Very knowledgable. She took a terrifying idea and explained everything and made it easy to comprehend. I have been going here for almost a year for laser hair removal and have been a great fan of Tina; she is very attentive to her client's needs and really good with the use of Laser. She seems to have great knowledge about all the products and skin types,etc. Overall, the results are fair but I feel the staff does very good job educating clients to have realistic expectations from the Tx. I hung up, called again and the automated machine said they were closed and business hours are until 5pm today. IT IS 2pm! WTF Well I knew they were connected to WomanCare so I called them and asked them what is going on over there, and told them I'd been on hold for 23 minutes. The nice lady (Pam) was astonished, "What?! you were what?!" So she found out what was going on and then connected me to someone who was there. That lady told me that there was no one at the desks and they SHUT OFF THE PHONES because no one was there. So she told me that someone put me on hold and then LEFT! ARE you kidding me?! This review, however, is about their accommodating my schedule, which they did wonderfully. For my last appointment I was running late, and couldn't make my scheduled time. I tried to call, but no one answered, so I left a message. When I arrived 20 minutes late, despite their policy that if you are late/a no show you must pay a fee, they squeezed me in. This place is the BEST MED SPA out there. I have tried the Lakeshore Drive overly expensive Med Spa's and they are rude and not as good as the nurses at Rennaissance. They absolutely give the best Botox ever and are very gentle and do not hurt you. The knowledge that they have makes a lot of sense also and no one ever told me NOT to workout right after Botox and little things to do for bruising etc. I can go on and on how great this place is and the office manager is a sweetheart and extremely helpful too !!!! I spent over $1,300 here and had no results. I still had all of my hair. I also noticed the facility was not very clean and the staff is terribly rude!!! I started with Cindy my first visit so they keep you with the same person every time. She was so rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. After the 4th one I asked for someone else next time and put me with Tina. When she did my bikini I noticed she did more she told me I wasn't getting full coverage like I paid for!!! Then she told me I couldn't get my legs done. I have very pale skin and at my age I am never in the sun! When I tried to book my next session the girl at the front desk ignored me and was on her mobile phone!! I stood there for 5 minutes before someone else came out and helped me. She said I was done with my sessions. I asked for a manager and it was the kid on her phone! She told me that there was nothing she could do. They were scamming me! I finally gave up when they told me I would have to pay for what they call touch ups when I never even got the full package I paid for! I went somewhere else and immediately they told me this place has old machines and that I have black hair with very light skin so I should have no problems. After 3 sessions all of my hair is gone! I am 50+ and therefore am focused on looking younger. I use both Botox and Radiesse. They have been amazing. Theresa is an artistic genius. She gives great advice and suggestions but is fine if you decide not to do what is discussed. My face always looks natural. I hate that frozen face look and have never found that to be the case here. I often use a Groupon special or an in-house special. Have never found any difference in the service between specials and full price. Everyone is courteous and very approachable. I've been self conscious about my Rosacea for most of my adult life. I've tried everything to get rid of it, antibiotics, face washes, constant sunscreen and every moisturizer available. Finally, a friend recommended that I visit Lisa at Renaissance Med Spa. I'm so glad that I listened! Lisa was incredibly personable, helpful and knowledgable about the photo facial procedure. She was able to ease my worry and set me up with Tina for a consultation. After just two sessions with Tina I noticed visible improvement. With five, my skin issues seem to have vanished. To say that visiting the ladies at Renaissance Med Spa has been life changing might sound a tad dramatic, but that's how I feel. I've never felt so confident! Bought a package for laser hair removal about 3 years ago. Many treatments later, still not seeing great results. What a waste of $1500! It is hard to get appointments here if you're looking for nights or weekends. Sometimes I'd have to wait over a month to get in due to the place running groupons and having to accomodate all those new patients. DO NOT GO HERE- ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A GROUPON!!!!! I purchased this Groupon for my mom and was shocked to see the lack of customer service, professionalism, and basic tact by this salon. I didn't even make it to the process of making an appointment, due to the unwillingness to give you an appointment! The first time I called, the receptionist's first question was "DO YOU HAVE A GROUPON?" after I replied "yes" it became very clear to me that I was going to be treated as a second class citizen, and I was. The receptionist scornfully and condescendingly spoke to me as though answering my questions and booking an appointment were simply below her. That call ironically was dropped...? The second call was a repeat of the first call, and was magically dropped as well. The issue I was trying to clarify before being hung- up on was if my moisturizer contained a component which they didn't want me to use? When I proceeded to ask how I could figure out if this ingredient was in my moisturizer, I was told "to figure it out myself"! ....The third time I called I was told that the salon was booked until the end of the month, that the receptionist was not in, and that the computers were all down so no one was able to give any appointments...what kind of professional business is this? Not one of the women I spoke to had any desire to be friendly- they were all stuck- up and ill-mannered... DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! read more

This review is written by my wife. I have been going here for over 2 years for laser and although I am somewhat pleased with the results, the customer service here is TERRIBLE. They explain when you buy a full price package that it comes with a 2 year guarantee. There are no other laser hair removal places that offer this so I figured it was a good deal. Plus the pricing here is a lot cheaper than other places. I had gotten several treatments on my legs and underarms and was still seeing several dark hairs, so I kept scheduling appointments for touch ups. Every time I went for a touch-up as part of their "2 year guarantee" I was interrogated by several of the esthoticians about WHY I keep returning for touch ups and how I cannot expect more than 70% hair reduction. I was scolded to STOP COMING even though it was part of my "2 year gurantee!" The attitude I had been given was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. They treated me as if I was wasting their time. There were also several instances where they got my appointment time incorrect and would screw me over on my services. Also, there were NUMEROUS occasions where they would make up excuses as to why they couldn't see me. Tina is the WORST! She will come up with any reason as to why she can't treat you. Antibiotics? Were you in the sun? Have you traveled recently? Has your skin been exposed even for 5 seconds? She is insanely RUDE. As for the results, as I said I am somewhat pleased. There is hair growing back, but it is still better than it was before. However this is NOT hair removal, it is hair reduction and people should tell you that before you expect a miracle. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Groupon and Living Social have tons of coupon offers at places like this. First of all they don't do a through job when you get treatments done. I felt like they were leaving gaps of space that wasn't treated. So when my initial treatments were over I went back for touch ups because the hair grew back in patches. It looked like I had gotten a shitty job of laser removal done. It was hideous. So when I went back for touchups the staff was very rude about me coming in. They would say I can't get any less of hair reduction even though that was a damn lie. Different techs would do the laser treatments and each one was very rude. They would be very stern with me about me coming in when they felt there was nothing more that could be done, I was still in my 2 year guarantee period mind you. I've seen friends who've had better results else where. When I would be in their waiting room to get treatments I would hear the techs talking crap about other customers. As soon as they would hang up the phone with someone the shit talking would start and in front of other customers. The staff is trash.
