And the worst part was my car was damaged and Beacon and the driver's insurance are not taking any responsibility. According to a new dealership, the hatchback must have struck the car rack above it and cracked the plastic in just the wrong spot. Matt at Beacon Shipping is a liar and a fraud. He claims that a car that I purchased that was shipped to me got water in the oil by its carb stacks. Theres no coolant in the radiator when I inspected it. Matt claims that the reason the water is in the oil is from rain during shipping. He has no way to verify that and lied to me about having a contract, of which there is none! BEWARE OF MATT AND HIS LIES. I could not be happier with my experience in dealing with Beacon Shipping Logistics!!! Wow, these guys are truly amazing! My 85-year-old father lives in the Attleboro, MA area and he was insistent on driving his car down to Florida. I suggested that we ship his vehicle down there instead and he agreed to letting me help him. Before finding Beacon Shipping Logistics, I contacted several "big box"-style national franchise shipping companies and was consequently given the runaround by them. Unreturned phone calls. Junky AI email responses. Poor customer service. I was so incredibly frustrated!!! Then, I came across Beacon Shipping Logistics while doing research online. Their website (www.beaconshippinglogistics.com) details that they are a not a franchise but instead a local company (based in Warwick, RI) who prides themselves on customer service. Also featured on their website are individual photos of their entire staff (from the owners and production managers to the account managers and accounting department). Very nice touch. I emailed John, the production manager, and within a couple of hours he responded with a very helpful, kindhearted email. His was not a computer-generated stock response, but rather a professional email to just me that included his own personal cell phone number. I thought "This is too good to be true!" We ultimately spoke on the phone and he got some information from me (type of vehicle that my father owns; starting location; shipping destination) and within an hour or so, he emailed me a detailed price quote as well as the following steps. I should also point out that the price was incredibly fair and honestly much less than I was expecting to pay. A few days later, a three-vehicle transport truck arrived in my father's driveway in Attleboro, MA, loaded-up his car, and off it went. Three days later, his car showed up at his home in Florida in perfect condition! The entire process was so incredibly stress-free. Dealing with John on the phone (phone calls and texts) and via email was so wonderful. As it turns out, their website is indeed right....Customer service is clearly a priority!!!! Very unhappy with the response, follow-up and failure to deliver on promises of Beacon Shipping. I worked with Clint to have a car shipped to me based on the referral of the dealership. The price was more than other shipping companies quoted me however I went with them based on dealer recommendation. I was not aware that they would subcontract to another shipping company. The car was to be delivered on a Saturday however, I was never updated as to ETA, contact information or any communication from Clint or Beacon. This was communicated by my salesman. When no car showed up I contacted my salesman who informed it would be Tuesday delivery. I spoke with Clint who assured me a Tuesday AM delivery. I took a day off from work so I would receive the vehicle. As the AM went into the PM I called Clint for status. He needed to reach out to the subtracted shipping company who said they were delayed at a different location and it would be delivered later that day. So now 2 wasted days of waiting for delivery. When no update throughout the afternoon I again contacted Clint who said there was an issue with the delivery and it would be pushed to Wed. I explained I would not be able to take time off and the delivery would have to be after I arrived home from work (5:30PM). Clint assured me that would not be a problem and that the delivery truck would need to wait for me to review the vehicle before it would be unloaded. I was then contacted by the subcontracted delivery company to see if I would be available any sooner. After several phone and text conversations and them insisting I find time or someone to receive the vehicle I referred them back to Clint for any future discussions. I arrived home early to find my vehicle in the driveway, locked and no delivery truck around. I contact Clint who eventually finds out the delivery person dropped my vehicle so they could load another one. This is against the agreement we had with Beacon. Finally the delivery person shows up, I sign for the vehichle and receive the keys. I contact Clint who offers to reimburse me for my time and frustrations. After 3-4 followup communications and Clint assuring me of compensation I again have not heard back and can only assume Beacon and Clint hope I will just go away. My recommendation is to search for another company but if you go with Beacon review the contract, get contact information up front and verify the shipping company. Scott read more

I am extremely grateful to Beacon Shipping Logistics for timely and efficient service, never over promising and always over delivering. I originally used BSL last year to transport a Range Rover at the suggestion of the dealership, I didn't know much about shipping and figured the dealership had a good working relationship with BSL. The experience worked out perfectly, the car was a 25th anniversary present for the wife and my surprise for her worked out exactly as I planed. However, I purchased a Maserati a few weeks ago and I meant to call BSL first, I regret I didn't. Again I went with a company the dealer suggested and my experience was horrible, they were almost impossible to contact and my car sat for several days without any drivers willing transport my car. After visiting my military son for 15 months in Hawaii, I returned to the mainland. My car was shipped to the Long Beach California port. I found myself in a hard spot when the company I had made a contract with and paid for in full couldn't find a driver. My car surpassed the free grace days allotted. I soon began to incur $15 daily storage fees on top of my paying for a daily car rental fee. I saw I was quickly losing money as my funds m tied up and no hope in sight to get my car! used Beacon shipping logistics on the recommendation of Hyundai Peninsula in California to ship a car from California to Oregon. John York indicated to the dealership that the car would be shipped in the next week. Once I signed a contract, the delivery was extended by another 1-2 weeks and price raised by 300 dollars. While the car was delivered in good condition, the slow delivery, inability to deliver the car in the time manner and increase in price leave me to leave an one star review. While the owner responded below, he definitely stretched what happened. I used this shipper on the advice of the dealer I brought from. I actually received a lower quote calling beacon directly than what the dealership gave me. Buyer beware and use ANY OTHER shipper.. Definitely bait and switch on their end. read more

My 86 year old Dad bought a car from Pat. It was apiece of junk and just barely ran, but Pat assured my Dad that he (Pat) would fix everything that was wrong with it. Because my Dad was in desperate need for a car, he gave Pat $3,500 for a 2006 Hundai Santa Fe with 159,000 miles on it. My Dad was just barely able to get it home when the engine seized up and Pat sent his truck out to pick it up. It has been in Pat,s garage for over three months. Pat claims that he is going to put another engine in it and make it right. I'm going to go over and pick up some of my Dad's belongings out of the car because he left the bill of sale in the glove box. Without it it will be tough to prove the sale so we can take him to court and sue him for the $3,500 back. I don't think he will be willing to give the money back as he is known by the WW Police as a "weazel" and very dishonest businessman! I will continue this post once I have picked up the papers from the glove box and notified a lawyer. Please avoid doing any business with Pat's Service Station. His gasoline prices are the lowest in West Warwick, but I assume this is only a ploy to pull in customers for service work by winning their confidence in his "honest" business practices. My daughter is in the United States Marine Corps and I have heard of the issues with getting a military member their vehicle. My contract was easy to complete and the invoice was easy to understand. I was very happy to hear the driver who picks up the car would also be the same driver delivering it. Matt understood and assured me I won't pay anything till her car is inspected by her and matches my inspection. Matt and the driver were in constant communication with us.
