My daughter and I were visiting from out of town and I accidentally left a very valuable piece of jewelry in the room after our appointment. I did not realize until we were flying out back to Louisiana and called them to see if by chance they saw it and immediately the lady said yes, we have it for you, the client that went in the room after me turned it in (thank God for their honesty) but they did not know who it was for until I called. I asked if they would be willing to ship it back to me if I paid for it and they agreed. They have kept in constant contact with me the entire time and even paid for extra insurance on the package for me just to be on the safe side. THERE ARE STILL HONEST, GOOD PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD AND THE OWNERS OF ROSE HEALTH SPA ARE SOME OF THEM! I hope their business continues to prosper!

It looked like a tiny massage place from the outside, but when I knocked I was pleasantly surprised -- the interior is beautiful, serene, and immaculately clean. I immediately booked a 90-minute massage. The price was incredible: their cash rate shows $80 for one hour, but I booked a 90-minute session and paid only $120 (plus tip) -- an absolute steal that felt like a $150 experience. The massage itself was outstanding: skilled, attentive, and perfectly tailored to my needs. Each treatment room is individualized and thoughtfully arranged, and the whole operation felt extremely professional. If you get the chance, book ahead -- Rose Health Spa is a hidden gem in Chinatown and a must-visit for anyone looking for top-quality care at an amazing value. Highly recommend!

I got booked with Darian, who took the time before my massage to sit down and ask me about prior massage experiences, what kind of pressure I like, what areas I want to focus on, and what I was hoping to get out of the massage. This is important to me because I have a low pain tolerance in certain parts of my body and find most massages to be too firm for my sensitive muscles. He was able to expertly provide high pressure in some areas and lower pressure in others, which kept me maximally relaxed throughout. With a price of $105 before tip for an hour, it was well worth the money, and I'll definitely be coming back.

I purposely had a sport massage as it "targets a specific area of the body that is more vulnerable to injury or stress". At the beginning I said my left quad needed attention ('ve been in pain for about 2 weeks now). Perhaps I wasn't clear. The massage I received was a full body massage which included my upper back/shoulders where I hold a lot of tense. It was beneficial but as I understand it, it was not what I signed up for. During the massage, I asked if she would do my quads too. She did towards the end. Unfortunately I left the spa with the same pain in my left hip and quad that I walked in with. I wasn't expecting to be pain free, but I had hope for some kind of change

The only good it did was possibly help me let go of some excess water weight -- decent for the lymphatic system. It was very, very annoying to have to pay this. It did not feel good. O. M. G. Fong's Massage Therapy is a gem of a find in Boston Chinatown. Over the years I have…read moregradually been doing some major damage to my back via working late hours and tolerating the stress at work. I've gotten many, many massages over the years to help relieve the dull and nagging pain I have in my neck and upper back. I have a Massage Envy subscription (which I just terminated today) plus I go to a number of Chinese and Thai massage places to supplement. When I found Fong's Massage Therapy I was looking for the highest rated Yelp! business in Boston Chinatown... And then it was history... I actually just showed up randomly on a Sunday to see if I could get a session in. First, I was expecting a store front on the main level of Washington Street but it's actually in an office building of sorts where you have to buzz in. There's no major signage for Fong's except for the buzzer label. The office is nice and very comfortable (nice cool temperature, soothing lighting and music and comfy BarcaLoungers for waiting. I didn't have an appointment but Kathy was available. I didn't realize it was cash only so I said I would come back after going to the ATM. However Kathy offered to perform the treatment and then I could go get cash but just leave my ID. I was like wow! And I wasn't sure what to do so I ended up doing what she suggested. The first session was amazing. Kathy basically checks out what's wrong and then administers the appropriate treatment. The method here is not like some of the many (excellent) massage therapists employ where there's almost a set sequencing of therapy. I was really tight so Kathy walked on me first to loosen me up. And then the remainder of the session was pretty intense--I usually fall asleep during no my massage therapy sessions but the pain was so intense and body work so deep that I couldn't fall asleep! The first session was so good that I set up an appointment for about 10 days later. During my second session I had gua-sha (spooning) done. This is where Kathy too lo a Chinese soup spoon and "scraped" it all over my back, neck and arms. Wow, I felt really good afterwards. Fong also checked me out as Kathy saw that I had a mountain of a knot on my back. Fong said there was a misalignment and that an adjustment would be helpful. I wasn't mentally ready to get adjusted then but I am today (third session). I am waiting for my treatment and I am hearing the "screams" of pain coming from the patient currently being treated. I can't wait!

I've certainly have had experiences elsewhere with that feeling of absolute painlessness, but no, not even close here. I chose to do the deep tissue massage by the way. However where I was truly disappointed, and really what makes this review a 2, was when the masseuse finished early by a good 10 mins and then once I was fully dressed and went to the full desk. I was stopped by the masseuse and she ordered me to give a tip. I was already planning to give a tip - even with the lackluster early finishing of timing by her. She demanded a full 20 dollar tip - what a joke! I tried to settle with her at 10, but no, she was very persistent that she offered a decent service. The lack of English I can understand. But I'm astonished by the attitude of the masseuses. This'll be my first and last, visit here.

She focused heavily on my neck and lower back, and she was so strong - in the best way because I like deep tissue massages. She spent a full 60 min with me and towards the end, she advised me to do cupping. I didn't see this as upselling - she seemed concerned that there was still tension. I did the cupping and she even mentioned that she was doing to do cupping all over my body instead of just my back because of the tension.
