Great location , clean rooms, comfortable. This is in an old brownstone so it no not modern but it is quaint. There are no frills or extras here. However we had a very nice stay. The only drawback is that the staff is very noisy in the morning so sleeping in is not an option unless your on the top floor. We thought the prices were reasonable. We did not like the $30 parking charge nightly so we found alternative parking arrange

If your expectations are in line, this is a heck of a deal and a great location if traveling to the Fenway area! We went to the Foo Fighters concert at Fenway, most rooms in the area were triple the amount on this night, some not even as close as the Beacon Inn 1087! Literally a 10 min walk to the park, great access, and nice little area with restaurants and shops. We were provided great service from the time we showed up. The gentleman at the desk physically guided us through the parking which was right around back, and explained everything in detail about the room and what to expect for hours of operation etc. We stayed in the Isabella Gardner room. This is a massive room with a king bed, nice bathroom, original marble fire place, and a lot of charm! This was the first room once you walk in on the first floor, very easy access...no complaints. I would and probably will stay here again!

I got this hotel because I was going to see a concert close by and I'm glad I found this hotel. Upon entering a beautiful and nice welcome by Roger, who was funny, had all the best recommendations and broke all the details down about the hotel. The entrance area (waiting area) was so cozy and beautiful. They had an assortment of fashionable chairs, a beautiful fireplace and this place was so colorful which I enjoyed, very brought. The breakfast was delicious a good assortment of everything. And a huge area to eat downstairs or go up to your room and enjoy. Now when you head up there's so much artwork everywhere, I love this. The room was so cozy and big, the bathroom was HUGE! I got a suite, so it had a kitchen, a room with a pull out couch and a pretty nice sized bedroom and a huge bathroom like I said. Upon entering we had a street view which I enjoyed and realized this place was so well put together. The vibes were just perfect. The bed was super comfy. I literally had no complaints at all. I've never stayed at a hotel in MA that has shopping plazas and markets right near by, walking distance this is so convenient. I would for SURE stay here again. The employees all were very kind, didn't matter what shift they all were attentive and kind. Great job, I loved it.

And why would management chose to bump a loyal elite status member?? Even more puzzling. But now I'm stuck with no hotel and anything close is sold out so I will incur incremental costs for last minute bookings AND Uber fares to boot. BAD BUSINESS, Residence Inn management. I will happily hand my money, and more of it, over to a Hilton.

Everything reasonable was really far outside of Boston, but then we stumbled across Anthony's Townhouse online. It is right in the heart of everything. You are extremely close to all the sights and restaurants. All of their rooms are extremely spacious with very big closets. Each one has its own unique decor. The whole place is extremely clean and housekeeping comes every morning. There is a fridge, microwave and bathroom on each floor. The owners are the most helpful people ever! They helped us find parking, get our T passes and even went through the map with us. There is a T stop right outside their house so you can take it everywhere downtown! I loved not having to take the truck anywhere. There are a few restaurants right across the street. There is also a whole foods. You cannot beat the price and location!! We will definitely be coming back to stay again.

Initially, the hotel was unwilling to cancel my reservation, but eventually made an exception and assured me I would receive a full refund within five days. It is now day seven, and I still have not received my refund. When I attempted to follow up, I experienced some of the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I was hung up on five separate times by customer service representatives--each time immediately after mentioning the refund. There was no explanation, no resolution, just repeated hang-ups. I then contacted Marriott, as Sonder is advertised as having some form of partnership with them, and Marriott had absolutely no record or understanding of what I was referring to. What makes this experience especially disappointing is that I have stayed at the Arcadian in Brookline consistently for the past three years without a single issue. Every stay prior to this had been great. However, the moment I requested clarity on my refund, everything became incredibly sketchy and unprofessional. This experience has completely changed my perception of this hotel. I will not be staying here again, and I strongly caution others to be aware of how refunds and customer service issues are handled. Extremely disappointing and unacceptable.

I immediately questioned this, as the hotel site states that there will be a $50 hold for incidentals, and also, just... WHAT? The clerk at the front desk said that he would have to check on this, and proceeded to go into the back for several minutes. He came out and said that it was "something new she was trying to do," and that she would "waive it." I don't know who "she" is, but I would definitely like to have this addressed. If this hadn't happened to me, I seriously would not believe a story like this, and it makes me want to warn anyone staying at this hotel. As for the property itself, it was overall ok. The rooms were clean, with the exception of the air conditioning/heater unit. About 5 minutes after turning it on, I became congested, my nose starting running, and I could not stop sneezing. I would caution anyone considering staying at this property to be very wary of the credit card hold. I will be watching my card closely for any unauthorized charges, and this hotel was shady from the start.

We reported the issue to the front desk, and the staff member claim it would be repaired upon our return from our outing. Unfortunately, it was not resolved. Staff were solid, and the included breakfast is more substantial than the typical "free breakfast" offered by many hotels. Highly recommended; we stayed in a standard room rather than one of the converted travel-trailer suites.
