I called to reschedule, they gave me a date a week later so I took it no problem. Then I get my confirmation text and its with a different doctor now. They never notified me of that switch during my call, I specifically wanted to see Dr. Rieper per her background and education. I called again to resolve this change. The person on the phone says they are sorry and the switch should have been 100% made clear during the rescheduling call. She checks when I could get an appointment, and says it would be another 3 months past the initial date... She also said that its because the doctor took PTO that day. No issue with that, but if the office is cancelling my appointment its absolutely not okay to make me wait an additional 3 months due to their operations. I was told the office would be given a not to call me back and see if there is a time I could get in sooner. I waited 2 days, never got a call. I call back again, the person on the phone says their records show I was called and didnt pick up... I have 0 incoming calls on my phone history. They leave another note. I wait another week and still never got a call. I had to cancel all together because if this is how the office manages things I dont want to deal with it when I need medication on a specific timeline and their office just doesnt respond. Very sad, very disappointing.

It's difficult to put into words how caring and dedicated they are. The midwives and Dr's in Peekskill are amazing as well. (Literally saved my life.) Don't think twice, this practice is a true gem. I've also had good experiences with 2 GP's here, as well as the dental department. For the GP and dentist (not women's health)- yes, it's hard to get someone on the phone, and the wait is sometimes long... but that's true for most Dr's offices in my experience.

The entire team was great. I know I brought my baby into this world in the happiest way possible because of how amazing each person on the staff was. Even the resident doctor in training checking in on me. My nurse KIM is beyond amazing . The nurse tech Jen is amazing. Everyone is soooo great. I love the room. I feel so comforatable here. The food is just as good as some 5 star hotels. This birth center feels like a luxury newborn baby hotel, not a hospital. I am so happy w this experience. I thought I'd have to order delivery food , but this hospital food isn't your average hospital food. Every meal I've had here has been amazing . The chef is from the culinary institute. The amazing staff, the food, the kindness, the lovely room, really make this feel more like a birthing resort than a hospital lol. I Am so thankful for the professionals who worked to help bring my baby into this world!! And to the entire staff from the kitchen to the administrators , amazing experience . So happy . Like I said, it's been more of a luxury birthing resort than a hospital lol

I wish I never stepped foot into this practice. I chose them for my pregnancy care and it was a…read moreterrible decision. My first annual visit was so pleasant I was excited to receive care here but once I became pregnant the problems started to arise. I did not receive a pregnancy packet of information for a healthy pregnancy or the REQUIRED discussion with their nurse until my 20 week appointment. I was asked if my morning sickness continuing into 20 weeks was a "me problem" I did not receive information meant to be distributed at 28 weeks, until 32 weeks Their website was 10 years outdated and had incorrect information about birth practices at Phelps hospital, when I found this out I tried to contact them to get answers and was pacified being told they would "get to the bottom of this and make sure to get you answers" instead I was scheduled with a new midwife who when I asked about this, I was told she had no idea and didn't know any of the hospital practices. It then took additional weeks for them to not correct their website, but completely remove it. When I continued to bring up my concerns over lack of information on hospital policy I was told I should look into home birth options (it was too late in my pregnancy to find a home birth midwife who was accepting new clients with my due date). I never ended up meeting all the midwives before my delivery I went to the hospital for prodromal labour and was told I should stay since "they were going to induce me tomorrow anyway" but I was never informed of this previously. I opted to leave and was informed by a nurse I needed to sign an AMA that I was choosing to leave. I asked the midwife on call if this was true and she said she did not know the hospital policy. I was constantly being hounded to schedule an induction despite multiple refusals and a MFM doctor telling me my placenta looked healthy and he had no concerns about me waiting until 41+4 to induce. When I did go into labour (not induced) I was terrified to find out that the midwife who I felt completely uncomfortable with due to multiple negative appointments was on call. I told myself I just had to wait 12 hours and a new midwife would be on- nope! Kathy Herron was on call for 24 hours and made my labour so uncomfortable. She was rude, hostile and honestly traumatizing. She laughed at me while I tried to work through labour pain and was having a difficult time. She continually asked me to break my waters which I constantly refused then they "just broke in her hands". I fully believe she broke my water without my consent even though I made it clear that was NOT what I wanted. When it was time to push, I told her I needed a moment to prepare myself mentally and she said "most women would be happy right now". She wanted me to give birth how she wanted and when she wanted. I wish I could give my experience 0 stars and am genuinely afraid for other women to have this same experience.

I felt at ease and prepared for my delivery . This is my third baby. I've delivered with both an OB and another Midwife practice. This has been my best experience, not to mention my best recovery, definitely because of how my delivery went. It was not easy to find a midwife practice in westChester but I'm glad I landed here and found a practice that aligned with my vision. From wait time, insurance, prenatal and post natal visits, I could not ask for more.

They are a group of highly experienced and SUPER smart midwives…read more I had all three of my children with Elaine and had a lovely experience through it all (from my first pre-conception planning meeting in 2018 to the birth of my third child in 2024). My first child was a c-section after a very long labor. After this, I was determined to have a VBAC (and did so with my next two kiddos). They were all so supportive of everything I wanted to do to help make this happen. Each birth experience was different but progressively easier and more peaceful. My favorite things: They are up to date on every single piece of relevant baby / mama research and any question you throw at them via text, email or in person always proves as such. They are warm and comforting - zero shaming or judgment of any sorts. No changing of gowns required -- just a cozy blanket over your lap. Each meeting (because it doesn't feel like a traditional "appointment") is initiated with a catch up on the coziest couch. Each summer there's a new baby picnic in Central Park. It's so nice to catch up under the sun and always so nice to hang out with the person who welcomed your baby into this world. They are all such genuine and caring people. Any mama would be so lucky to have such a wholesome and loving pregnancy + birthing experience.

This was my first pregnancy and I was sort of clueless at the beginning and filled with anxiety about what to expect. Christina, Elaine, and Chloe supported me in a way I have never felt before in a medical setting. With these 3 incredible women I felt safe, I felt heard, and I felt loved. Before AND after birth they will be there for you every step of the way. I also must say the staff at mount sinai west was also incredible. Thank you Central Park midwifery, I am so beyond grateful for you.

I have never been to a more thorough appointment with a health care provider. Every aspect of my health and life were covered. My appointment lasted well over an hour--as I left I noticed that my phone had several missed calls. Turns out my husband thought something was wrong because I had been gone so long! Even more amazing? I wasn't there that long because I was waiting in a waiting room. I was with Anne the whole time. When I did get pregnant my first pregnant visit was even longer. Anne went over everything. My pregnant friends would tell me they saw their OB for 5-10 minutes tops. I was appalled! The care you receive from Anne's practice is excellent--personalized, conscientious and evidence based. Choosing a home birth was a big decision for me and I wanted to ensure that I had the best quality care that would keep me and my baby safe. I was impressed with Anne's professional credentials and her calm and knowledgable bedside presence. I felt that I could completely trust her and felt comfortable talking with her about anything that came up during my pregnancy. One thing I really like about using Anne as a home birth midwife is that YOU are in charge of your care. Anne presents you with choices about what you can do at every point in your pregnancy and lets YOU make the decision about it. When you choose a home birth you are choosing to take an active role in your health and the practice respects that. Anne provides you with solid medical evidence and lets you make the choice. There are no paternalistic expectations that you will do something just because your doctor says and you have no choice in the matter. You definitely leave the experience more knowledgeable and more empowered. In terms of the actual births, the care Anne gives during the labor and birth experience is wonderful. I labored 36 or so hours with my first and Anne was the knowledgeable, reassuring presence I needed. I was scared, in pain, and frankly was kind of wishing I was not having a baby at that point. Anne and her wonderful team got me through it and I safely delivered a beautiful healthy baby girl. Bringing her into this world drug free, in a loving and supportive environment was the most amazing experience I have ever had. There is no other feeling in the world like the natural birth of your baby and if they could bottle that feeling it would be the drug of choice for everyone. My second labor was much faster, thank god, and the care just as good. Our second healthy daughter was born under Anne's care and was welcomed to the world by her older sister in the comfort of our home. It was beautiful. The care Anne provides after the birth is just as thorough and attentive. She leaves your home clean and safe, calls you to check in and comes to see you at home after the birth for postpartum care. She cares for both you and the baby and ensures the health of both of you. I can't recommend Home Sweet Homebirth emphatically enough. Every woman deserves to be treated the way this practice treats you. I feel sad for my friends who put up with substandard care during any point in their lives, but most especially during their pregnancies. There is something better out there and this practice is it!
