Despite being told by "experts" that my daughter's latch was fine and the pain was normal--or that she needed tongue tie surgery--I knew something was wrong. My nipples were cracked, bleeding, and bruised. I was heartbroken and nearly ready to give up. Then we found Donna. She came into our home calm, professional, and full of hope. She reassured us there was no need for surgery and carefully assessed both my anatomy and my daughter's. She showed us the exact angle and position that would ease the pain. It took some adjustment, but my body healed--and nursing became not just bearable, but something I actually enjoyed. Thanks to Donna, I now nurse comfortably in any position, pain-free. My daughter is thriving in the 98th percentile for weight, and I credit Donna's expertise for turning a nightmare into one of the most positive parts of early motherhood. If you're struggling, Donna can help. She gave our family hope--and I can't recommend her enough.

Without Donna, I do not think I would be breast feeding this second time around. She has a wealth of knowledge in regard to breast feeding and supply issues. She's also incredibly kind and caring. I am so grateful for her!

I had come to her a broken and struggling mother who's baby was destroying me mentally and physically. She reassured me that my daughter was indeed tongue tied, and that it needed revision before I would be able to be successful, even when everyone else told be she was fine. She introduced me to pace bottle feeding, and pumping to increase and persevere my supply in the meantime. Once my daughters tongue tie was fixed and my body healed Susan was then able to teach me to latch her and we continued to breastfeed over a year. Her love and support was invaluable to me. Her support groups connected me with friends whom three years later are still part of my circle. Anyone who is struggling with breastfeeding or just looking for more support look no further than Susan. I am now pregnant with my second child and I will be making appointments as soon as he is here! Thank you again Susan for all you have done for me and my family.

From identifying oral ties, breastfeeding, bottle challenges, pumping, general discomfort - Susan has been our go to for many concerns. After birth, I received a lot of conflicting information and guidance from various lactation consultants at the hospital - the first time I met with Susan she immediately streamlined all the mixed messages I had received and drastically simplified what I was doing so I could stress less and enjoy my baby more. Thanks to Susan I was able to breastfeed my first for two years! And beyond breastfeeding, thanks to her we were able to address issues that may have impacted my son later in life. For my second baby, I decided to book a prenatal appointment with Susan. I went into the hospital feeling confident, prepared and smarter about how I wanted my feeding journey to look. I'm so glad I did this because it couldn't have been more different than my first. Make the appointment - It is with full confidence that I recommend Susan!

The pain was unbearable and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to tolerate breast feeding. I found Patrice on google and I am so happy I scheduled an appointment. She not only provided me support for breast feeding but was able to help me recover from the NICU stay. Patrice is extremely knowledgeable and over our 3-4 visits helped me gain more confidence and understanding of how to breast feed which ultimately helped the pain resolve! This was our first child and I was hoping to have as natural a birth as possible in a hospital. Foremost we wanted someone to help lead us through the process - to be helpful to me and also to my husband. She answered all our questions and went over all the procedures to answer the questions we didn't even know we had. As I passed my due date, she worked with me to find ways to naturally induce labor in several different modalities. Throughout my labor, my husband used her as a resource to help comfort me and she was exceptionally attentive to all my needs. She always worked within the boundaries of what we were comfortable with and was never judgmental about our birth plan. In the end, I had to be induced and our plan changed drastically. She didn't skip a beat and helped us stay as close as possible to the intention of our plan. Once the baby was born, she stayed to help me start breastfeeding and to get us situated in the new room. I am ever so grateful to her for everything that she did and would recommend her to anyone looking for a Doula. I also took part in Elizabeth's Yoga for Birthing class and found it very helpful. It was a great substitute for a LaMaze class because we went over all the different parts of labor and the choices that we were going to have to make. She also gave us poses and breathing to do in each of the different stages of labor and I made a lot of use of these throughout my labor. I highly recommend the class as well.
