Fountain Park - Stainless Steel, Quartz Countertops

Fountain Park

DO NOT MOVE TO THE EDGE AT NOVI. THERE ARE NICER APARTMENTS IN THE AREA AND COST LESS PER MONTH…read more First of all, the name has changed to the Edge At Novi. I was told when I moved in that Fountain Park was a great place to live. The maintenance people were wonderful. The outside was well maintained. Well, let me fill you in. I moved here in 2024 and was not shown the unit. So once I saw the condition..... There was orange mold ( yes it's a thing) on my shower ceiling and. The gutters flooded my sidewalk and the area on both sides of sidewalk when raining ( I'm in a lower unit)and icicles would be 6+ ft in the winter. The gutters were overflowing with debris from the hugh tree in front of my unit. The heat doesn't really warm my bedroom but overheats the rest of the unit. Reason I was told was "furnace is old". Windows are old and has a whiteish film between the glass panes. The second room windows were replaced but the master bedroom..... one day I call and they're on order. Weeks later an excuse. Then they're finally here. Then someone else got them. This went on for months, last year. Supposedly they now have the windows. Dishwasher has never been right, right from the start. After I ran/run a cycle and opened the door, a horrible smell filled my kitchen. It smelled and still does smell like wet dog. Ugh! Change soaps, run a cycle (with no dishes) with bleach, vinegar and baking soda, and they gave me 3 various liquids to use. So that's at least 6 times they were in my apartment. Over many months. Their last resort was to put the liquid soap, not for dishwashers, in my dishwasher. I had to call them back to clean the bubbles! The washer/dryer wasn't working from the beginning. Again, let's look at it. And look at it again. And again. And again. After months of this, the washer/dryer still wasn't working. It was replaced. Now the outside. They do nothing!!!! I asked over many months to clean the gutters. It took many more complaints about the water and the icicles (when the icicles melted and froze again, I'd have a small ice skating rink on my sidewalk. Very dangerous!!!). It took almost a year to clean the gutters only they neglected to do the downspouts. So when it rained, the sidewalk still flooded. They don't maintain the trees and bushes unless called repeatedly. The sprinklers don't work right and turned the lower parts of some buildings orange. Well water for the outside. And let's talk winter. Last year each building had a salt bucket. This year no. I call several time and was given excuses. Some broke so they ordered more. Ir did they? But I finally got one. But 99% of the buildings did not get salt. So the first snow happens. And they do little as possible. My upstairs neighbor shoved the sidewalk to the parking lot and I salted. We had a clean sidewalk. I asked if maintenance could shovel the empty spots (6 empty spaces in a row) and the sidewalks as there was at least 5" of snow. A maintenance person came out, shoveled the handicap space and put that snow on the sidewalk in front of the handicap spot. Come on...how do you not know how to shovel? And this last snow, well let's say no more was done! I shoveled and salted. And the last thing is the dumpsters. Last time I talked to the office staff, I was told we really needed pickups 2 times a week. Well?? One more thing. The pictures shown are not representative of this complex. There's a pool but not many people use it. There's a small workout room. There's no playground for the kids. No clubhouse to use. No barbecue area. Take a look at the other complexes in the area. Again, larger units and cheaper rent. With clubhouses, playground for kids, dog parks, bbq area, tennis/pickleball courts, ponds, beautiful grounds. Good luck!

I am renewing my lease, but transferring to a larger floor plan. The transfer process has been super easy! I highly recommend living here. The neighbors are friendly, quiet, and respectful.

First the good. I have lived here for 16 years in my 3rd floor apartment. We enjoyed it…read more Neighbors were for the most part good. Maintenance was good. Then we recently moved Same complex, different apartment. . We are very unhappy here. The outside hall is filthy. Needs to have the old paint taken off and new paint put on. It needs sweeping so the spiders and other bugs stay away. It brings me to the point , why don't they have doors to the outside in the village, everyone of their other apartments have them. It would save them money in the long run. It would keep the bugs out, the paint longer lasting, keep garbage from blowing in from outside, many things but especially the riff raff people coming in and out of the buildings. Most of the neighbors here are so annoying! They run up and down the stairs all hours of the night. They hang out in the hall yelling back and forth to each other at midnight. They have people coming and going all the time. During the day some of the people stand outside smoking and l working on cars. It feels like I'm living in a 3rd world country. . The windows covering on a few of the windows are very unbecoming. The blinds are broken etc.... To much to take. Not saying don't move here but... pick your area carefully.

Had issues right off the bat with lack of hot water in tub, a refrigerator's temperature control…read morethat does not work, a "new" so called stove with no clock or timer on it, just a white panel. Then hearing a constant bass noise almost from day one. Very disappointing. Then with limited warm weather, the pool gets closed due to lack of life guards.

After reading the negative reviews I unfortunately have to agree with everything they mentioned. We…read morehave unfortunately been going through hell with management to get simple repairs finished. Also when notifying management of issues you can expect one of two things (either of which will be preceded by being informed someone will contact you shortly) 1) maintenance will simply show up knock once and come on in even if you don't answer because you happen to be engaging in some adult time with your significant other. After you send them away any delays in the repair not being completed timely will be completely blamed on you for not allowing them to come in when they were ready and it was convenient for them. 2) you will wait up to 9 days for a rude email addressing your concern, telling you what day and time the "contractor" will be there and informing you that you can't be present because the fumes will be so strong. (Oh and no offer to reimburse for the hotel we stayed at because our shower couldn't be used for 48 hours) It took almost 5 months to get a small cosmetic issue that unfortunately turned into a health one due to the fact mold likes to grow where water stands in bathrooms. The first "contractor" made it worse , the second guy who I honestly believe was an outside person remarked what a crap job the previous people had done. Bottom line way too much money to pay for such mediocre accommodations, wish we had just rented a much larger home for what we paid.

Terrible unit condition. Problem with foundation causing water to leak into main bedroom closet…read more This has been a problem since the very first week i moved in, which has lead to moldy belongings and an unusable closet. Management doesn't care and wants to raise rent. Yesterday maintenance was over looking at the foundation and I mention how the main bedroom air duct vent leaks air from outside causing room to be at least 5 degrees cooler than the unit set temperature on the thermostat. He told me "it's cause of bad insulation and thats how his apartment is."
