I've lived in many apartments since college, and this one has been such an excellent experience I…read morewanted to write a review. I've lived here for 3 months so far (Oct-Jan), so I cannot comment on the pool. I have a 2 bed 1 bath unit. Pros: -No surprises/things I wasn't expecting -Safe Location- Old Village Plymouth and Hines Drive. -Friendly, personal staff. They sent me a hand signed Christmas card. -Very well maintain units. Extremely clean upon move in. Carpet was brand new and appliances were in excellent condition. -Spacious+big windows with lots of natural light. (Windows are newer, not drafty like previous places I've rented from) -Grounds are very well maintained, snow removal is prompt -No dogs (I like dogs, but I've have dog poop problems at other apartments.) -Water and heat are included with rent -One reserved parking space per unit and additional parking for guests. Depending on the unit, the additional parking might not be as close as some people prefer. I've never had a problem finding spots. -Low turnover of tenants (Some of my neighbors have been here for 7+years Cons: -Washers/Dryers are coin and in the communal basement. Not a surprise or huge issue. -Heat uses a boiler system, so you can hear water running through it occasionally. It's minor and the plus is that it doesn't make the air as dry as regular HVAC. -Expect to hear the occasional train. I didn't realize how many trains come through Plymouth. -No gym/amenities. I'm ok with this since the rent is so low. -No dishwasher or microwave. I've read other reviews that say there are dishwashers, but I think that is only in one of the buildings. They were upfront about it and let me see my actual unit before signing my lease. I wasn't real excited about another apartment (I want to buy a house) but this is a great option. Could you find an apartment with more expensive finishes like granite counter tops? Yes. Could you find a cheaper apartment? Yes, but likely not in Plymouth or as nice. What you see is what you get. Considering all of the pros, these apartments are an excellent value and great place to live. All things considered, you won't regret choosing Lake Pointe Village Apartments

Do not move in here! Way over priced and absolutely run down and down right disgusting!! We were…read moremoving from out of state so they did a video tour. We were told the unit they showed on the video tour would be our unit. When we arrived we were given a different unit. I'm telling ya, these apartments are nasty! Old carpet, dents and dings all over the walls, small bathroom with rocking toilet, weed smells coming in through the vents, tiny kitchen and spilled sticky crap in the cupboards! Stay far away as possible!

Ok, goods and bads. Good: apartment itself is pretty nice…read more We happened to get an apartment that had new appliances and wood vinyl floors. I'd say it's slightly above typical apartment as far as aesthetic. Bad: this place. It all started when I realized I was paying another apartments DTE and consumer's bill on top of my own. Turns out they gave us the wrong address when we set up our electric and gas. When I called the front desk she literally LAUGHED at me for paying multiple apartment's bills. Then there's the issue of our renters insurance. We paid it all up front, and they are still charging us for it monthly. Despite multiple phone calls, emails, and walking into their office they still haven't gotten it right. They've admitted they got it wrong, but we are still paying monthly for it?? Also still waiting for them to refund the money they wrongly charged us. I honestly don't know what their deal is but I'm getting fatigued by this battle. On top of these erroneous charges, they have a lot of hidden monthly fees to look out for. They nickel and dime you. We've had a lot of maintenance problems as well, although thankfully that staff is much better than the staff managing our rent/charges. I am honestly so fed up with this place.
