First the good. I have lived here for 16 years in my 3rd floor apartment. We enjoyed it…read more Neighbors were for the most part good. Maintenance was good. Then we recently moved Same complex, different apartment. . We are very unhappy here. The outside hall is filthy. Needs to have the old paint taken off and new paint put on. It needs sweeping so the spiders and other bugs stay away. It brings me to the point , why don't they have doors to the outside in the village, everyone of their other apartments have them. It would save them money in the long run. It would keep the bugs out, the paint longer lasting, keep garbage from blowing in from outside, many things but especially the riff raff people coming in and out of the buildings. Most of the neighbors here are so annoying! They run up and down the stairs all hours of the night. They hang out in the hall yelling back and forth to each other at midnight. They have people coming and going all the time. During the day some of the people stand outside smoking and l working on cars. It feels like I'm living in a 3rd world country. . The windows covering on a few of the windows are very unbecoming. The blinds are broken etc.... To much to take. Not saying don't move here but... pick your area carefully.

Had issues right off the bat with lack of hot water in tub, a refrigerator's temperature control…read morethat does not work, a "new" so called stove with no clock or timer on it, just a white panel. Then hearing a constant bass noise almost from day one. Very disappointing. Then with limited warm weather, the pool gets closed due to lack of life guards.

Let me begin by outlining the issues we experienced during our tenancy:…read more- Persistent mold in the shower that continued to return because it had been caulked over instead of properly treated. - Laundry machines that often left clothes dirtier than before, with each wash and dry costing nearly $5. - The property's general condition appeared dated and poorly maintained, with frequent weed odor in the hallways and pet waste on public walkways. - Annual rent increases despite no improvements to amenities or maintenance. After submitting our move-out notice 29 days before our lease expiration, we were informed by the leasing specialist that we would need to buy burner plates and fill holes to receive our security deposit back, and yet we were never informed of a 60-day notice requirement. Despite fulfilling all obligations, cleaning thoroughly, and leaving the unit in good condition, we were charged an entire month's rent for "insufficient notice." This charge was applied AFTER our lease had already expired, and when we disputed it, our security deposit was withheld under the explanation of a "dispute fee." We repeatedly asked for documentation on when the unit was re-listed for rent and received no response. When we checked if the listing was posted weeks after our notice, our unit was not posted. Do with that information what you will. We provided proper notice, paid rent on time, and left the apartment in excellent condition. It is disappointing to see that rather than acknowledging this, the management chose to impose after-the-fact charges and retain our deposit. This does not reflect good-faith property management or fair treatment of tenants. It it our opinion that this property is only going to continue and that management is going to continue to charge for their negligence.

Here's a timeline of my experience with The Crossing at Eagle Pond:…read more On February 16, I went on its website, which indicated that one studio apartment was available. I clicked on it, paid a $150 application fee, and received Quote #61251 listing the apartment number, lease length and amount. I filled out a rental application and received an email confirmation that it was received. The next morning, I called the office to confirm that I had reserved the apartment. The office explained to me that even though their website indicated an apartment was available and that I was allowed to reserve it online, that did not necessarily mean that this apartment was actually available because it had a waiting list. The office said it could add me to the waiting list. I agreed. The office also offered me a one-bedroom apartment, which would be available soon. I declined, explaining that a one bedroom was more expensive and had less space than my current apartment so it did not make sense to take that one. According to my cell phone, the Crossing at Eagle Pond office called me at 4:16 p.m. on February 18 to tell me that the person on the waiting list ahead of me had not gotten back to them by 4 p.m. that day so the manager authorized contacting me to offer the studio apartment. I accepted it. The office said the apartment would be vacated by March 30 and that I would receive a call from them by Wednesday, February 23 at noon to let me know the exact date it would be available (it would take longer than usual to get back with me because of the Monday, February 21 Presidents' Day holiday, I was told). I put in the required two-month notice to vacate my current apartment. On Thursday, February 24, I emailed them to check on the move-in date, because I had not heard from them by Wednesday as promised. The reply said the office would check with the manager to see what units were available. I replied, reminding the office that they already offered me a specific unit and said they would contact me by Wednesday. I did not get a reply by the next day, so I emailed again, saying that based on their previous message, I presumed that the apartment had been accidentally rented to someone else. I got a quick reply that someone else had been ahead of me on the waiting list and that the studio apartment was not available to me. I was offered a 1-bedroom apartment, which I was told would be available sooner than a studio. I reported that at this point I would stay at my current apartment (assuming that I can rescind my notice to vacate). It will be interesting to see if they refund my original $150 application fee (for an apartment that was not actually available).
