Regardless of catching keepers, we were reeling them in all day long. we went from 7:30am to 2:30pm and between the 4 of us we hooked about 40 fish. Although we only had one keeper, it may have to do with the fact that the limit was raised to 18". These guys stick to the rules and don't let anyone keep shorts. Overall fantastic crew and boat, great trip! Will be going again very soon!

We used his recommended caterer and DJ for ease of planning and both were fantastic. I've been coming to this beach and boardwalk since I was able to be wheeled around in a stroller…read more It's not the greatest beach in the world, that was never the idea or purpose of being there. Altho it is always usually empty it's a great spot to shell search. Since I was kid we used to walk along the wave breaks and look for shells, horseshoe crabs,mussels, clams and whatever else we could find. True it's not clean never was even as a kid. I remember the jelly fish swarms way back when and their is always horseshoe crab and little crab body parts up and down the beach. I do have to say you can always find something cool on your walks and that's what I did today. When Sandy hit, that beach was even worse if that's possible but it was with brown stinky water rushing up the black sand and waves pushing garbage up onshore. Now it is so much better and has gotten a little cleaner and the sand is actually like sugar, minus the shells,seaweed, stones and miscellaneous stuff that pops up. It still holds some wonderful memories. They also built a fishing pier down the beach some and it looks pretty cool. People were fishing off it today. So having the storm actually made it better than it has been in a very long time. Don't get me wrong I don't plan on jumping in and swimming there anytime soon but definitely perfect for walks and finding marine treasure with the kids. 4 stars for the memories.

As we arrive at the shore, the captain, Captain Tom, spotted us from afar and gave us a very welcoming greeting. He took pictures for us in front of the ship and tells us everything we need to know about the trip. The crew was amazing and very attentive. The weather was a little chilly today so Patrick, the superstar crew member, very kindly offered his spare hoodies to my friends who are freezing. We didn't catch any strip bass today, but we did manage to catch many blue fish. They are huge and really quite delicious. Ah yes! So once you have a fish on hook, the crew will help you pull it out of the water, and at the end fillet them for you. The fishing experience was really easy and relaxing because the crew is there to help with untangling the strings or helping us putting on baits. The bathroom was extremely clean and the indoor space is dry and comfortable. I like the fact that they have a separate restroom for the ladies, it is very considerate. This is my 3rd time fishing with the Atlantic Star and I'll definitely come back with more friends. Tips: - don't forget to tip the crew members well when you exit the ship, they worked really hard! - they have everything you need on board, just walk in and be prepared to catch some fish! - good for family with kids too
