Came for a late lunch at 3pm ish- Fast service from an unfriendly waiter but food tasted microwaved and bland- plus we got an order of fried mozzarella that were cold and had yellow processed American cheese inside. We also had mahi that was "fine" didn't taste bad but didn't taste fresh. Ambience is okay- really great view with lots of Windows and a huge downstairs patio with cornhole, giant chess, and horseshoes. Got a blue Hawaiian that was syrupy and tasted like bottom shelf coconut cream with a hint of juice and rum. My son and I ate lunch here during the July 4th weekend. The Yelp reviews were good but our experience was even better than those reviews. The food and the atmosphere were good, the service was exceptional. I had a burger and he had chicken tenders . . . after we had queso and chips. We both agreed that we will be going back to this restaurant again! Here is a quick tip for finding the restaurant. It is at the back of an RV park next to the beach. We go back every year. This year the food wasn't as good. Pretty much fried bar food out of the box but the atmosphere never disappoints. It seems to be the local hangout spot for a cold beer, great patio drink and good local company. We will still return next season. read more

Well been coming for the past couple of years and I have to say tonight was the worst should have know when we pulled up to handicap parking and a super sweet blue keep rubicon was parked there now placket or handicap tags. Was a start that this was not going to be good. I have every had to deal with. Started out bad 25 minutes to just get drinks which were good, got appetizers which were great waitress came back to take order and left without taken all orders and then got mad. But mind you on the menu it says only 2 hour table time for eat if you want to drink and talk go outside and that is fine except we waited 1.45 hrs for food and the waitress who name was Ace lol stated 4 orders ahead of ours and we 6 of us watch 4 tables turn which means seated after us got drinks and food and left before we even got food. The off duty manager who was doing his best to help them out who also went to go get bottle water since they ran out and we were told if you drink the tap you will die. Ok so don't drink surf side water. So when we asked again about our food Ace stated they are really busy now mind you this is 30 minutes after we were told 4 orders ahead of us. So asked for a manager was told he was busy with a theft. And so tried to explain the issue and the waitress has been doing this for 15 years and she apparently didn't see anything wrong. Anyway off duty manager was doing all he could more time passes we headed to the front to just pay for the drinks and appetizers and still not food another 15 minutes past and my nephew waited for the manager the rest went outside manger gave him our food which was horrible to say the least. So if you want drink and appetizers good to go and thing else there is plenty of other places to eat. I feel bad and hope this is a waitress issue but the last 2 times will keep me from going bad thank you Jake off duty manager for trying to make it right. read more

Make sure you ask if you are renting a beach house close to this place because the music is so loud that it can be heard several houses down. I asked if there was an ordinance and there is. The music is not to be heard more then 100 yards away. The police don't enforce it. The renters are their bread and butter so you would think they would be more considerate. First off they don't offer tap water and each bottle costs $2, one can of soda, $3, all beer is bottled and is served warm at best, and in the Texas heat gets too warm to finish it before it tastes like junk! Kids meals $6, not including a drink. All food came out cold, fried fish tacos the worst I've ever had, chicken fried steak....tough and tasteless. Service was sub par. the view is nice and the food is ok. nothing special but the way this restaurant runs is bad. we ordered a margarita that was WAY too strong. we told the waiters who said they couldn't do anything about it. for a 12 dollar drink you expect them to take it off the tab and offer to make a new one but they didn't. they said there wasn't anything they could do but take the drink pour some out and give it back to us. like what the heck is that? we spoke to the manager who couldn't do anything either which was disappointing. she was very apologetic about it the issue but still offered no resolve. over all the food wasn't great. a very disappointing experience. who ever own this restaurant is trying to cash grab anything out of you. there are credit card fees and a service charge as well as a gratuity added to parties 6 and over. there is a charge for water too be mindful of that. i understand that this is a small local spot but it is not a warm or welcoming beach dining experience. i don't recommend this place please find somewhere else to go. read more

I don't advise ordering the Baked Shrimp pasta plate. I did not enjoy it, and the shrimp was boiled not baked. It was also overpriced for the food/service received. You cannot sit on the deck, either, unless you're JUST drinking. No food. Lastly, they'll charge ya $2/per for water without telling you so beware! Horrible service. Was there 5/18/2018 and the sour-mouthed dude barely out of his teens behind the bar was extremely obnoxious. Kept giving me looks as if he did not like waiting on me, or as if I was someone he had beef with back on his block. Left a tip to the prick and didn't even have the grace to thank me for it, nor for my service. Left a complaint with the manager and his very flippant tone indicated that he did not care either.
