At the El Cerrito locations I've felt like a criminal just walking in to shop. Here was completely different with a warm greeting, plenty of shopping carts. The shoe department had lots of sketchers around $35, not too bad. Hit and miss on styles and sizes but I found a couple pairs. The clothing was really confusing. I shop Plus size and why was so much of it religious in nature? I did find a couple nice work tops that did not have slogans though.

From start to finish, Karen was exceedingly patient, a great listener, and genuinely understanding, taking the time to carefully listen to my situation both over the phone and in person, ensuring that the original requests from different associates were honored. What truly amazed me most was her patience, kindness, equanimity, even temperament, and her genuine intent to listen throughout this situation. Those are the marks of a great leader. Her ability to multitask--managing the situation with me while also running the store--was also impressive, but it was her calm, understanding, and empathetic approach that really stood out. During the process, my Kohl's card was having trouble being accessed due to the large amount of the transaction. While I was on the line with Capital One, Karen was very patient and understanding of the entire situation. I truly appreciated that she did not rush me despite the challenges in accessing the account. Even till the end, she reminded me to keep my Kohl's Cash and continued to be patient and kind throughout. Karen was also very knowledgeable about Kohl's procedures, including accessing my Kohl's credit card account, and was incredibly helpful in ensuring that the process honored the intended discounts while providing excellent customer service. She even apologized for the inconvenience, assuring me that she would make the situation right and take care of both me and the issue. Regarding the policy adjustment, Karen did state that the 25% discount technically should not have been added. However, considering the different factors and misrepresentation by prior associates, she was able to honor it. For me, this is what excellent customer service looks like--she takes ownership for the company's misrepresentation, and instead of shaming anyone, she works to train, figure out what went wrong, and make things right. Making this exception earned Kohl's a loyal customer, knowing there are great managers like Karen who are understanding of miscommunications and misrepresentations and seek to resolve them for an excellent customer service experience. This experience was in stark contrast to a male manager with glasses and gray hair who was in charge on December 23rd from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. He was very unfriendly and mean, and I was close to returning all of my products and closing my Kohl's card due to this poor interaction. Thanks to Karen, however, I am happy to continue shopping at Kohl's because her positive service made me feel valued, seen, and genuinely listened to. I also want to give recognition to the worker who helped me plug in the return. She had brown hair and brown skin and was very nice and understanding throughout the process. She did not seem annoyed or rude at any point, and while I didn't get her name, she was also great. Karen's patience, empathy, friendliness, knowledge, and expertise completely transformed what could have been a stressful situation into a genuinely positive experience. I sincerely wish her continued success and promotions within the Kohl's company and give her a 10 out of 10 for her remarkable service. Great leader, great listener, great customer service, great manager. Kohl's is fortunate to have her on their team, and I truly appreciate all of her help!

Anyway, I love this location at Bella Terra. There's plenty of parking on the Edinger lot. The store always seems clean and uncluttered. You can find the meat department, dairy, vegetables/fruits, bakery, drinks, pastas/rice, frozen, candy, miscellaneous household items and much more!!! The aisles seemed spacious. Overall, a great experience! The store was clean and stocked. The staff were friendly and helpful. Ample parking. My better half bought some things for family. We found some specialty coffee beans and spices. I only purchased drinks for our room.

In addition, I could receive the bars the same day w/ free delivery. I ended up liking the bars and will buy more. Nonetheless, I will buy them from Walmart bc the price is cheaper vs Amazon, and Walmart offers the bars in smaller packs.

I go in usually saying I want 3 things but nope I stop by the little place in makeup section that has mini versions of stuff and got a lot of small mini items. Once I'm done I head to self check out and start scanning and get my bag open and ready. I scanned a couple small things and have a big bottle of conditioner that I don't want to squish my other items so I move some stuff around in my bag to place the bottle of conditioner at the very bottom. All of a sudden I get this weird feeling someone's watching me, and I turn around... Im not even lying the self checkout lady who has a wrist brace is standing not even 5ft but 2ft behind me staring at what I'm doing. I look back and give a stare and continue scanning. Then 1-2 min go buy and she was still there and ended up walking away at some point when I looked behind me again. I spent over $100 on my items and honestly left so mad because I've never experienced that at all, or at that target that I go to all the time. Keep in mind I've been living in HB for 7-8 years now. All I have to say is that wasn't a good feeling to have leaving target when I shop there all the time and really just made me a bit sad after the situation.

It's not always that this would happen.. only for loose untagged items I guess. But my other set of clips are fine. Both me and the first cashier didn't catch the stolen clip. I threw the receipt away right at the entrance so I probably won't be able to return it. I called them a few times and got hung up on, so I thought I should try a few more times. This is extension-#0 for front desk by the way. But always check your things for merchandise belonging to Walmart for theft. Since stealing is incredibly unnoticed here.
