At the El Cerrito locations I've felt like a criminal just walking in to shop. Here was completely different with a warm greeting, plenty of shopping carts. The shoe department had lots of sketchers around $35, not too bad. Hit and miss on styles and sizes but I found a couple pairs. The clothing was really confusing. I shop Plus size and why was so much of it religious in nature? I did find a couple nice work tops that did not have slogans though.

The few times I've had an issue, they took care of it right away. - The prices are reasonable for most items. - The selection is wide. My main criticisms would be that 1) they have limited dressing room space for a department store of their size, and the fitting rooms are usually full of tried-on items, and 2) that employees are required to give you a small sales pitch for the Kohl's credit card each time of purchase. Otherwise, it's usually a great experience. I can regularly find items on sale for my whole family.

Anyway, I love this location at Bella Terra. There's plenty of parking on the Edinger lot. The store always seems clean and uncluttered. And the employee helped them pretty quick and then it was my turn. Gave him my two returns with my barcodes and voila! All done. On my way out I saw some super cuteeeee Halloween pillows, that I had to get! My Kohls charge card got dusted off and used lol It makes me so happy to see all the Halloween stuff coming out. If you hate your job, find a career that makes you happy and leave the customer service positions to people who actually want to help customers. Very disappointing experience.

There's a nice little strip of restaurants, bars and surf shops that will eventually lead you to the pier. Some restaurants (like Baja Sharkeez) get so lit at night so it's a good spot to bar hop; and when those drunk munchies hit, getting food ain't a problem. Some places are pricey, especially the brand-name clothing stores but no ones forcing you to buy anything. Parking is limited to two hours at time every day so don't forget to put more time if you stay longer than that time frame.
