It's best of both worlds, a pizza and a hamburger combined. Interesting combo I've ever had, but it works! Service was great. So, on this last visit, hubby & I drove out to try and see her. She's located on the Barber Marina property in the Boatyard. I'm not sure if everyone is allowed to go out on the dock during operating hours, or if it's only for people who have boats here. We took our chances and walked out on the docks. You won't get to walk 360 degrees around her. Yes! She was out in the water as we'd hoped she would be! She is free to see. This is a floating fiberglass sculpture of a woman relaxing in the water. She was sculpted in 2012 by artist Mark Cline and commissioned by George Barber. It is an expensive piece of art. She is more or less of an illusion comprised of 3 pieces - head and two bent knees. Supposedly, if she were to be standing, she would be taller than the Statue Of Liberty! This lady was originally supposed to be a temporary April Fool's prank, but is a pretty permanent fixture now. In 2020, Hurricane Sally smashed her to bits and she was rebuilt. So, the same sculptor put her back together and even replicated some new parts to bring her back to "life". We were given a fortuitous opportunity to see her while in a boat! Hubby's sister & brother-in-law took us right up close to see her! It was such a cool surprise! Now that I've seen her from all angles, I think I'm good!

Just moved to Foley recently and came across this place on my google map. We took the quick 16…read moreminute drive and found it pretty easily. Parking is just a gravel patch that can fit maybe 4 cars. Luckily there was a car parked there, or We would have missed it and had to turn around. It was really weird turning the corner on the little path and seeing this in the big grass opening. Nothing what I expected. Also, made of fiberglass, so that was a little weird. It was a little sad to see that they had to cover up some graffiti on a few "stones". My partner has been to the real Stonehenge and said he was pretty impressed with this little replica in the middle of the woods in Alabama, haha. Made for a nice little outing, to see this and then hunt down the dinosaurs, the Knights, the Sundial ( which you can't get close to, it's fenced off ) finishing with the Lady in the Marina. She was a sight! If you have nothing to do and need a few hours to get in and out of the car for some pictures, it's a fun little treasure hunt. I think kids would get a kick out of it. I plan to take my niece ( 6 ) and nephew ( 3 ) when they come visit us. They would really get a kick out of the search!

We found all four dinosaurs--two are hidden in the woods, and one is on the other side of the road, which made the search even more exciting. Definitely get out of the car and walk up to the dinosaurs. Pictures don't do them justice, and it's much more fun to see them up close. The trails were easy to explore, and it was a great way to get outside and enjoy nature while keeping the kids engaged. Be sure to keep your eyes open because some of the dinosaurs are well hidden! Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area and looking for a fun, free family activity.

The 18-hole course took us a while to finish, so we definitely felt like we got a good amount of entertainment and were tired by the end. While I do think the admission price is a little expensive, the overall experience made it worth it. The course was clean and well maintained, and I also noticed that parts of it were handicap accessible, which is a nice feature. Overall, I'd recommend Pirate's Cove if you're looking for a fun activity in the area. The price is my only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

Still fun the second time around…read more My first time to kayak with these guys was 3 years ago. On that excursion, I was fortunate enough to have an encounter with 2 dolphin. Alas, this year, what with Hurricane Sally and all, I did not see my finned friends again. Tony told me that the area lost at least 800 boats when Hurricane Sally came through. Sad. However, I still had a great time. Tony and Tem took great care of getting me rigged up. I paddled all the way back to the main part of the bay near the bridge and spent time exploring several of the islands. Last time, I turned back once I made it to the big island. This year, I made it all the way around the island and then some. There was a strong East wind the day I set out, so the first part of the journey was a bit more of a challenge, but I was ready for it. Fortunately, the trip back was a bit easier with the wind at my back. Still, I fought quite a headwind rounding the Northern tip of the Big Island that day. Thankfully, that same East wind made the rest of the trip easier since it helped me along heading back to Paddled By You. If you enjoy being out on the water, and like the exercise, you need to check these guys out. Good service. Good equipment, and as good of time as you want to have. Oh, and they have kayaks for 1, 2, or every 3 people. That comes in handy when you have a good deal of paddling to do. One last TIP - Sunscreen. Be sure to put Sunscreen on whatever part you don't want to get burned, even on a cloudy day. I also took a larger hat than last time, and was darn glad I did. Now it's your turn. Get out there and get some exercise and have a blast. Maybe you'll even see some dolphins like I did.
