I wish I could give my one line review, I came here, we had the ribs, food is good, I'll be back. Well in search of a different "Steak House" to celebrate accomplishments of getting a promotion and a raise, Along came Rooh's! The photos made the place look appealing, so I decided to check it out in person. The moment we walked in, the aesthetic hit immediately -- a curated, almost museum-like space with a heavy emphasis on taxidermy. I saw this place as a modern Indian vibe by the waiter insisted that it was Mediterranean. OKAY SIR! The waiter comes over after we viewed the menu and asks what we would like, we both chose lamb chops, he said that they didn't have them. At this point it was very disappointing. Our food- Fresh mozzarella with tomatoes $20.49 Classic Hummus $16.47 Smoked ribs $46.34 1 bottle water $2.05 And an up charge when you use a CC. The fresh mozzarella was new and different, I've never ate it fresh before and that vinaigrette sauce killed it, the classic Hummus was the show stopper for me, it was very delicious, with a visual presence of olive oil. The ribs had a lot of fat and served as one lump and not the tradition ribs, somewhat dry. This was a mediocre dish. The spacing on the food is very important and they failed miserably, the ribs were cold when we started eating it. The manager made her presence known serval times. The first time was a coaching session as she says, oh you chose the ribs you love it right. I didn't get to tell her how I felt as she left quickly. She came again and she was uninvitingly touchie on my plus one and it was both awkward and unpleasant. I got the opportunity to tell her when she asked was everything all right. This is where it went left Mgr- is everything okay, was it good? Me - no! Mgr- what is wrong. Me- we wanted Lamb chops. Her- you can't get anything that's not on the menu. My plus one interrupted because the lady kept touching her and my plus one wanted her to hurry and leave. Suggests for improvement. 1. If you don't have something on the menu, tell it up front because customer don't know what you have and what you don't have, or have a replacement menu with omitted items that you know sell out fast. 2. Everyone doesn't like to be touched, keeping distance is highly recommended. 3. Read the reviews, the customer is telling you how they feel. Not one review was read and no feedback. This place is way over priced for a Safari dining experience. So it's a no return for me especially with the manager trying to go back and forth about feedback to a question that she asked. All she had to say was the halal meat is hard to get at times. They should have everything on the menu. I used to work at a premium bbq spot in LA so expectations were already high. I wanted 1/2 lb of their brisket and a side of rice ... didn't realize they were charging an arm and a leg for it . My total came out to 66.92 for .6 lb of brisket and 2 wagyu kebabs...the value didn't match the price. On their restaurant menu the smoked brisket wagyu w rice was 44.99/ lb , so was better off going to their restaurant than eating at their stall because the kebabs were dense and lost a good amount of the fat in the grill. Doesn't make sense to make kebabs with wagyu if you're going to lose all that valuable fat it's known for. Can't be too hard on them though... they couldn't control all the factors of that evening and maybe I was better off with the sample than ordering. Either way, I was $66 down and quite disappointed. I would have given 2 stars but they earned 1 star for effort. I might try their restaurant out for a reevaluation but for now...it's gonna be a 3.
