The place has been around since the 30's so that says a lot. They do have tables outdoor under a tent but I love the nostalgic vibe of the inside counter with the little stools. You can watch them fry up all the goodies. I was immediately greeted, sat and my beautiful bowl of chowder came. The service is endearing and though my first time dining in, they treated me like I was a regular and they do with everyone. Maybe that's why they have been around so long. Good food is great but service that makes you feel like you are a regular is top tier. As The clouds rolled in the thunder struck and as the rain poured down, I enjoyed my lovely bowl of New England clam chowder. They are heavy on the fresh clams and just right on the potatoes.
