We stayed in the camping site in our campervan. there are some mobile homes on site, not sure if they are private or for rent. The campsite is nice and small, well maintained and has all the facilities. Food in the bar was traditional pub grub and what we got was tasty, with generous portions. the atmosphere in the bar was great - locals and tourists chatting away. I cannot wait for things to warm up a bit so we can go back.

My dad got a burger and my mom got the salmon special and they both said they were just ok. Our service was pretty good, but I wouldn't come back for the food. We drove to Westport the next night for dinner and I would recommend going somewhere there instead.

They are all very knowledgeable about the area and have some amazing stories to tell! The walls of the pub itself also tell a story, with lots of personal photos and trinkets collected over the years by the family. They also serve the best pint of Guinness in the land! It's a great spot to come with a big group of friends, there's loads of space and also a room with a pool table! The pub itself doesn't serve food, but they very kindly allow you to bring food in from the neighbouring takeaway while you enjoy your drinks which is brilliant! Sometimes the music is hit-or-miss, sometimes it's a bit of jam session, other times it's quite good. On quite nights there may not be many musicians there and the owner get's up and play.
