I came in for a haircut on 10/16, and unfortunately, it was the worst haircut l've ever had-even compared to the ones I got at home from my mom. While the stylist was very sweet, my haircut is terrible. I asked for a bob/lob that would sit at my shoulder blade, but I ended up with a cut that barely reaches my chin. It's uneven, lopsided, and feels very heavy at the bottom. It seemed like she knew the cut didn't turn out well because she didn't even check it afterward or perform a dry cut to ensure it was even. Maybe she just wasn't confident in her work, or perhaps she wasn't experienced enough. I realize now that I made a mistake choosing a protégé stylist, but I didn't expect such a bad outcome, especially considering I paid $60 plus for the haircut. I asked for a refund and was instead offered an "adjustment." My hair is already 3 inches shorter than I wanted-why would I want you to cut even more off?

My 2nd email. Never got a response after this one.

CUSTOMER Satisfaction is NOT GUARANTEED. Stylist satisfaction may be, but definitely not the customers.. I've never left a salon in tears, especially twice!! My experience: I book an "Advanced Dementional Color" with a "master stylist," thinking that I'm setting myself up for the best possible outcome. And wait a month for an appointment. I arrive, everyone is nice, salon is nice, all is well so far. Explain to the stylist what I want (balyage), and show her my inspiration picture (pic attached). Everything seems ok. She puts foils in (Pic attached), and it seems pretty light and basic to be a balyage, but I keep my mouth shut.. I'm not a stylist. Rinse..return to chair.. I'm concerned. I tell her it looks pretty dark, and I can't see the color at all. "Let me dry it so you can see it." Dries... I tell her I'm still concerned. I can barely see the highlights at all. This is not the look I was going for. Also, my roots haven't been touched at all and are extremely visible. "Let me throw some curls in it so you can see them better." I comply but am literally holding back tears at this point because I'm so disappointed, and she doesn't care at all. Curls help show a little bit of the highlights, but not much. I'm still telling her I'm unhappy. She tells me that this is the look I showed her and that she feels that I am now "going in a completely different direction." I point out the roots and how they are just as visible as when we started, and though the hair color is definitely an improvement, it is still not what I asked for. (Pic attached) She agrees to schedule an appointment for the next day for an "adjustment." I leave the salon, aggravated, frustrated, and disappointed, but hopeful for the next appointment. Pay $400!!, plus a tip Day #2: I'm a little late getting to the salon, about 5-10 mins due to trains. Then, stand in line to check in while another customer is speaking to the receptionist, another 5-8 mins. I talked to the stylist again about my concerns, and the show more pictures that showed more of "the look" I was going for. She doesn't say much, acknowledges me, and that's about all. Color goes on my roots, I'm still talking about the highlights. She continues to tell me that I'm "going in a different direction than I started." And I continue to try to explain that what I'm telling her is what I've been trying to tell her from the start, but little to no response. Roots get colored but nothing else is done. Blow dries and puts in a few curls for "after pics." Done. She tells me, "If you want more dimension, I suggest you book another appointment for an advanced highlight." Another $250! I say: "So basically what you're telling me is that I have to pay $650 to get the look that I wanted from the beginning, and if I don't pay another $250 I'm shit outta luck and I have to deal with what I got?" She shrugged and gave me a "yeah basically" look and said nothing else. I left the salon fuming mad and in tears! Follow up: The website proudly states, "satisfaction guaranteed." So I follow the instructions online and send an email. (Pic attached) The response I received (not the phone call I requested just an email) was completely dismissive and basically told me the stylist (Demi) was satisfied with my hair and that I would have to re-book for that $250 appointment. (Pic attached). Customer service is ZERO at this place! My hair doesn't look bad, but it looks like nothing. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself.. Would you have been happy being treated this way, and this being your end result?

Brown lines that apparently couldn't be seen by the stylist.

I have been waiting to make a review on this salon for a couple months because I didn't want to write it while I was heated. Apparently I'm just as heated now as I was then. I was in on 11/13/21 for an advanced hair color with Sasha. When I asked her how long she had been doing hair and she admitted that she had just graduated in May. As in 6 MONTHS prior. I was so thankful to be wearing a mask because my jaw about hit the floor. How could a new graduate perform an advanced hair color? I tried to calm myself down and ask she walked away to mix my color, I quickly grabbed my phone to see if there was any mention of her being a beginner on the website; there wasn't. I again tried to calm myself down by telling myself the price would be decreased; it wasn't (still $194!) I sat and politely waited for her to complete my hair as I noticed some horizontal dark brown lines on the side of my head. The lines were on the side facing the window so I was secretly hoping they were caused by shadowing, but as she finished I moved ahead and noticed they weren't leaving their spot on my head. I pointed the lines out and she seemed surprised. How could anyone miss these, especially when they're facing a bright window with natural lighting?! Sasha grabbed another stylist (one, I assume had not been a new grad) and they discussed options for fixing the mistake. She re-dyed my hair, which ended up being fine. She brought in another stylist (Haley), to wash and dry my hair. As she finished drying my hair, she noticed several long strands at the back of my head that Sasha had missed cutting and Sasha cut them, laughing them off as being long due to the mask I was wearing. When I got to work the following Monday, my coworker cut several other long hairs. As I left the salon, holding back tears, I answered "yes" to the receptionist checking me out when she asked if I was happy with my service. I lied and I am taking blame for this. I even tipped her 20%. See, I try to avoid confrontation and I had wanted to send a quiet email explaining my situation, but when I went to the website today, there was not an option to send an email and the only thing I could find was the option to send a message, but not the ability to attach a picture. Sasha should not be performing advanced hair coloring. And, FFS, if she does mess up, she should acknowledge it rather than having the client notice first! I would have had much more respect for her rather than me needing to point it out after she was done. Also, your website should specify how long stylists have been doing hair professionally so other unfortunate clients do not end up in the same spot I did. I would have never scheduled a hair color with someone who had just graduated 6 months ago.

I asked for my ends to be TRIMMED. This is not a TRIM.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. Let me first say... I have worked in the retail and service industries for many years. I NEVER write negative reviews. I was VERY patient and reasonable in trying to work out a solution with this salon, after one of their stylists destroyed my hair. I didn't want to be writing this. I just wanted to be treated with respect and fairness by the business providing me a service. I contacted the management and let them know I was dissatisfied with my haircut. (Dissatisfied is putting it mildly. I cried about it. I'm devastated. It's been three days and I'm still extremely upset.) I understand that the stylist spent time on my hair and that the salon used product and resources to deliver this service, so I requested a 50% refund, which I feel is VERY reasonable given the fact that my hair is completely ruined. The stylist lopped off 4-6 inches from my ends, despite my clear instructions that I am growing it out and wanted to take off as little as possible. It was too late to say anything by the time I realized how much she was taking off. Then, she rushed through my bangs, because another client was waiting and she didn't bother to check to make sure they were even. They were horribly asymetrical, which I didn't realize until I had left. The manager, Niki, refused to refund me. All she would offer me was to come back in again to have the same stylist who lopped off my ends and rushed through trimming my bangs correct their mistake. Why in the world would I trust this salon to touch me ever again? They might be able to adjust my bangs, but it's impossible to restore the length of my hair. I asked if they were offering me high-quality extensions to replace the lost length. Of course they weren't. Now I have to go have someone else fix my bangs and it will be at least a year before my hair is back to where I actually wanted it when I requested that my ends be trimmed. I do NOT recommend this salon. Their customer service is terrible, despite the fact that they claim to have a "satisfaction guarantee". I am appalled by the way I've been treated and I am heartbroken about the way that my hair looks.

    what I asked for

This was the most traumatic and awful experience. I will first state that the owner was extremely nice. However they don't offer refunds and when you see my inspiration photo and how my hair turned out, you will understand why I should be given a full refund. The girl who cut my hair claimed as did the front desk that they are curly hair certified; this was not the case. The salon stylist was double booked and had my bleached or she called "balayage" and destroyed my hair. I was left and forgotten. When she finally was done and did not have my hair cut or color properly- she knew she messed up and ignored me and had another stylist come in to try to fix. This stylist then made extremely choppy layers which is not what I agreed to and showed her the huge gap between the layers and at that point I needed to leave. I was crying and while the manger / owner said I could come back and have someone else fix it- I expressed my concerns that I didn't feel safe with anyone there touching my hair again. Not only that when people leave honest reviews I've seen the snarky comments the salon replies with. I was respectful and tried to be understanding to a new stylist but she did not listen nor do anything but destroy my hair. I will never go back. I cannot trust that even them fixing it will be done properly. The first photo is what I wanted and as you can see in the other two WHICH were taken within 30 minutes of me leaving the salon. I will be leaving this review and can share the email I sent after the visit on all sites. I ask that the salon does not leave any rude or condescending remarks as they did to previous customers. This is the honest truth and was a awful experience. The photos say it all. I will add photos if I can to demonstrate how horrible this was. Their response is also attacking and inappropriate.

Then when I got into her chair she put it all the way to the ground, so that I could only see from my eyes up in the mirror while she cut my hair. To the point that she was literally on her Knees to do her job. She barely asked what I wanted, then didn't even follow that. I asked for layers to round the shape of my hair out, for it to sit about shoulder length, and my bangs to be cut at cheekbone length. Instead hair was past my shoulders in the front and long and Mullety in the back as if she didn't cut that at all. My "bangs* were down to my mouth and there were Zero discernable layers to be found anywhere. When she asked if I wanted her to do anything else I asked for it to be cut shorter, she trimmed the front 2 pieces a tiny bit and that's it so I decided not to ask for anything else, as she already wasn't doing what I asked. Not once during the total of Thirty minutes that she spent on my hair did she check if the length was ok, what I was thinking about it or anything. She spent most of the time making my hair frizzy AF then fluffing it around than she did taking time to cut my hair. She also did not offer me a mirror at Any point to see the back. I feel like she was distracted the entire time, did not actually want to cut my hair for some reason, and left me looking ridiculous. I walked out of the store with a fluffy, frizzy, mullet and paid almost $100 for it. I absolutely will Not be back and Highly discourage Anyone from going to see Denise. I ended up going to my friend's house afterwards, waking her up, and together we did a Significantly better job than Denise.

I showed a picture and brought in physical hair extensions in the red shade I wanted. I was never told my desired color was not possible. The resulting job left my hair looking similarly close as when I walked in (another shade of brown). I immediately stated to the dresser that the result was far from what I had requested. The owner (Karla) made a comment about how at least they're not having me walk out with horrible hair. That was completely off-putting since I never expect to leave the salon looking horrible nor do I ever spend my money with that outcome as a goal. Karla offered to have me come back in so they could tone it. I would rather take my money to a place that can get close to what I want the first time around, and if not, not being defensive about their own wrong doing. Total service cost before tip was $255, which is a ludicrous amount to charge if you didn't deliver. No discounts were offered which is very upsetting and tells me this business is lacking integrity. There needs to be transparency - If a hair stylist doesn't possess the knowledge or skills to achieve clients desired color, that needs to be stated from the start. I would rather know that up front so that other possible arrangements can be made and if that is not possible then I can go elsewhere. Going to this salon was such a waste of time, money and energy. I have included 4 pictures with my review (reference of desired color, the extensions I brought in to salon, my hair before service, my hair a week after service).
