I would strongly caution anyone considering Kinnan Landscaping…read more I hired them to install a drain to carry water from my sump pump to the back of my yard, where it was supposed to discharge on my property. This spring, when my neighbor installed a fence along our property line, I discovered that the end of the drain had actually been installed on my neighbors property. I immediately contacted Kinnan Landscaping, expecting them to correct what I believe was an installation error. instead, they refused to fix it unless I paid them to move the drain. In my opinion, a contractor should verify property boundaries and ensure that work is completed on the customers property. I should not have had to hire a second landscaping company (HandH landscaping) to correct the problem they made. This was obviously not what I signed the contract for and definitely not what I paid them to do.

We actually needed a vinyl fence put around our farmhouse and even though it wasn't their usual type of installation, they took it on and did an awesome job. Friends and neighbors have commented on how nicely it frames our place now! I love the personalized, friendly, yet professional service and care they give each customer and how they treat you like family. We hired H&H for our initial backyard landscaping project about 7 years ago. I met with a lot of…read morelandscaping groups, and once I met Mark and Tim, I knew we had found the company we wanted to work with for our home project. We collaborated nicely when designing our backyard to best meet the needs and aesthetic we were desiring. They installed a fire pit, unilock pavers, trees, bushes, lighting, etc. During the install of the project, we were bombarded with rain and they helped us immediately make adjustments to our project so the water would flow away from our house and down the proper channel. Our project won them an outstanding design award with the unilock group!! After COVID, we realized we wished we had a pool to add to our amazing backyard, and the ONLY people we called to manage the project and add to our existing patio was H&H. They helped us find a reputable pool company and we all worked together to design a beautiful and functional space! We trust them completely and know they will take care of their customers. We had issues with a bad batch of pavers and Mark immediately came to our house and connected us with the paver company to get our pavers replaced quickly and efficiently. Their on-site project manager/foreman, Zach, is wonderful and amazing to work with!!! He makes sure you are satisfied with the final project, will make any changes needed, has great knowledge and insight on all things landscape and hardscape and will check-in with you on completed projects to make sure there are no issues or concerns. He is honest, trustworthy and my go-to person when it comes to my outside spaces!! Damon is also a great worker with H&H and has done a great job with our pavers and hardscape areas. He works with customers to make sure they are happy with the final product! Ultimately, H&H has my highest recommendation for patios/fire pits/hardscape areas, etc and did a beautiful job planting trees, bushes and making our backyard a true oasis!!Pictures of our beautiful pool are the cover photos up above with the teal umbrellas!! We get the highest compliments from friends and family and we love our backyard!! You won't be disappointed!!

We purchased a home with extensive hardscaping, including a large paver driveway, that required…read moremaintenance. After researching local providers, I contacted H & H Lawn and Landscape and received an estimate of just over $9,300. The representative who met with me initially appeared knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. He described a scope of work that, if performed correctly, would provide many years of reliable, maintenance‑free performance. H & H required a 50% deposit to schedule the job, which we paid in good faith. Unfortunately, the project deteriorated almost immediately. On the day work began, the representative arrived with a crew of three laborers who were equipped with nothing more than screwdrivers and small hand tools to remove the existing joint sand--an approach wholly inconsistent with the level of workmanship we were promised. As concerns arose, the representative became argumentative, dismissive, and increasingly obstinate whenever I questioned the quality of the work. His conduct made it impossible to continue dealing with him, so I contacted the owner, Mark Hauptman. Mr. Hauptman assured me personally that he would follow up and ensure the work held through the winter and for years to come. That assurance was never honored. By the following spring, the newly installed polymeric sand had already loosened and begun releasing from the joints. The sealer applied to the driveway faded rapidly and developed a cloudy, dull white film. Despite Mr. Hauptman's promises--and despite H & H trucks passing our home regularly--not once did he contact us to inspect the work, address the failures, or uphold the commitment he made. As a homeowner, I was seeking a partner I could trust to help maintain and protect my property. Instead, I feel misled, dismissed, and ultimately forgotten. Letters have gone unanswered. Accountability has been nonexistent. I have considered pursuing small claims court simply to recover a portion of what was lost. I recently learned that Mr. Hauptman is now a candidate for the local school board. Based on my experience, I cannot support someone who does not keep his word or stand behind the commitments he makes to the community he serves. This was a profoundly disappointing and costly experience from start to finish.
