Beware!!! Would not use this company. They never answer their phones. It was always a text and not returned in a timely manner.This went on for 3 weeks and had an excuses every week for each week. Instead of not wanting the job they should have said it right away without giving us the run around! Shocker! When we cancelled and told them we are going with someone else who is more reliable and will cut it in less then a week, 30 seconds later they responded!!! I would not recommend this company because they are not reliable. Several weeks ago they came and gave me an evaluation and an estimate. I waited week after week after week for them to schedule to come to do the job, they never showed. They kept saying that they didn't have a vendor for their barrels to block off the street. I got tired of waiting so I called another company and got an immediate response with a good price and they're going to be here next week in fact. go ahead and go with Cut Grind if you want, but they're not returned calls or answer text messages. a text message days later they might bother to respond. read more

Brett has quite the crew. I enjoyed watching. They are all hard workers. It was fascinating to see them figure out how and where to cut and tie off; orchestrating each move. Which could come straight down, which needed to swing and what direction. They are true professionals of their craft. I highly recommend them. No complaints from their bid processing, more than fair pricing, especially in this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, quick turnaround time from start to finish. They took down 3 monster trees that were decaying and quite dangerous for themselves. It came with high risk of injury to themselves and/or property. We got many quotes and ended up using cut and grind not only because they were the most affordable but they were easily the most responsive. They responded to all calls, texts, and emails usually within minutes. They were beyond helpful when we had to reschedule and they showed up right on time and finished quickly. Just in case you don't want to be bothered with reading a lengthy review you can stop here with the understanding that this company is 5 stars with not only the tree trim, tree removal and stump removal but also their professionalism and clean up. I had gotten several bids to get a massive tree trimmed and to remove several trees on my property. I went with Grind and Cut because I was impressed with their professionalism and knowledge. My biggest fear was that I was just the small guy to be put on the back-burner since my job was not large. Not only was that untrue but they came back ahead of schedule to complete the stump removal. Their crew fine toothed my yard for every branch, leave and splinter. I told them that I was confident that my YARD looked better than before they even stepped foot on my property. They were quick and extremely proficient. I did have several bids in which the folks were NOT insured. When removing trees - that is one of the most important aspects that often gets overlooked. That and the lack of knowledge can go unnoticed during a quick bid. Don't waste your time like I did talking to so many different people. Cut and Grind removed 2 trees from our backyard. They did an excellent job! They were very careful taking the trees down making sure not to damage the fence or our yard. The backyard has not looked this good in many years! There were so many branches that needed to be pruned or completely cut off around the entire backyard it was ridiculous. They got rid of a small jungle of volunteer trees down by the fence line and another one under the front bay window. Brett and his crew not only cleaned up just about every last tiny twig left in the yard with rakes but completely cleaned the street up where there chipper was as well. NO WORK ETHIC.....NO RESPECT.....THIS COMPANY DOES NOT WANT OR DESERVE YOUR MONEY!!! The only reason why I decided to go with this company was because they were to be servicing a tree in my neighbor's yard and I wanted it to be convenient for anyone taking the tree away. It took numerous calls before someone actually called me to give me an estimate and agree to complete the same day as my neighbor. We agreed that for a portion of the price, I would cut down the tree and they would chip the wood and remove the stump. It was still going to be pricey, but we were looking for convenience. The day before my husband and I worked hard to cut down the tree and place all the branches and logs nicely in our yard so that it would be nothing to pull up and chip the tree and grind the stump. My husband did tree removal for a living not too long ago and knew exactly what to do. The day of, my husband took the day off of work and waited HOURS. We called and again, NO ANSWER. After an hour, they called us back saying they had too much work because of the "poor weather lately" and would have to reschedule for an indiscriminate day and they refused to specify date. I expressed my concerns about the tree laying in my yard and the weight destroying my lawn also with the proposed snowfall I didn't want the tree in my yard for through the winter, my concerns fell on deaf ears. First off, the weather has been fabulous....setting records for warmth with MINIMAL sprinkles....how could the weather deter you from completing the job to this point? And if you knew you weren't going to be able to complete the job, why weren't we notified? This company is rude and should not be given your business! You work too hard for someone to disrespect your time and money the way this company will! AVOID!!!! read more
