Not so with the "cheaper" landscaper we had landscape a small project in our backyard last year - only about half the plantings came back and they did a poor job of building up the flower beds. Greenlife also provided prompt, responsive and friendly service. They are our go to landscapers, and we won't make the mistake of going for the discount landscapers again.

Communication was lacking after deposit and I had to request multiple tasks such as not leaving a vehicle in my driveway, returning items used as they found them, removing trash, not unplugging light timer, etc... I'm not even convinced that they went over the entire yard to remove nails used. This took much longer that I was initially told. And I felt like a nag having to point out items that needed to be completed or fixed. Nice kid, but not enough to make this a worthy project. Lastly be prepared to pay 2.9% if credit card is used even though on Yelp it states it is a payment method. And upon posting my review, Facebook reviews are now turned off. That's strange and concerning.

He brought us several products to choose from with a price range. Once he was at the store picking up the stain he sent a picture letting me know what the color would look like just to make sure it was what we wanted. Logan and his co-worker are super easy to work with and very accommodating. He was very careful not to get stain onto our white house, but we had several windy days. Logan made sure to color match the exterior of our house and painted areas that had some stain on the white exterior. He even cleaned up deck stain that was left from years ago by the previous owner. Spent $43K for garden terrace and retaining wall rework. Crew did a pretty good job, but I had to…read moreintervene for corrections. Terrace was not angled or extended as planned and steps were angled. Biggest issues are: they used a considerable amount of our existing river rock to back fill some of the retaining wall; they were supposed to put clean fill first in terraces, but dumped left over gravel/rocks/sand in them and covered with a few inches of dirt - we removed several 5 gal buckets of rocks from them and added several bags of top soil; they did remove the gravel/sand from one section and added clean dirt; they put down straw matting and some grass seed over a large portion of the yard where grass was killed, but they did that over hard dirt, gravel and rocks they spilled on the project- I had to till the soil, pick out buckets of rocks, and add soil and grass seed; they broke marked sprinkler heads and crimped the sprinkler line- said they would repair in the spring (although irrigation damage is excluded in their terms), but then told us to have sprinkler company repair and bill them when sprinklers were turned on in spring; had to complain a bit to get them to come back and do some "fixes"- for example requested they fill gaps left between steps and terrace walls - eventually they did; left over sand/gravel was spread in a few areas of the yard and a pile dumped in the nature preserve behind house. Bottom line, fair terrace work, bad attention to detail and clean up caused us to have to do a LOT of work to try and get the yard back together.
