We booked a professional deep cleaning for our home for over $420. After the first cleaner, Britney, left, I initially thought the job was perhaps a B/B-. Once we actually had time to walk through the house, however, we kept discovering more and more items from the company's own deep-cleaning checklist that had either been missed entirely or inadequately cleaned. Among the issues we found: the kitchen had not been properly swept or mopped, portions of the kitchen appeared untouched, the entryway and a bathroom floor were not properly cleaned, baseboards and blinds were missed, cobwebs remained throughout the house and bathrooms, a ceiling fan remained dusty, the upstairs hallway and stairs had not been vacuumed, the kitchen garbage wasn't emptied, and multiple accessible areas underneath/behind furniture and other items were untouched. In the kitchen, edges around the stove and backsplash still had visible debris/buildup, and the sinks appeared to have been wiped rather than thoroughly scrubbed. We had also paid for an interior refrigerator cleaning add-on, which was not performed. We tipped Britney $24 in cash when she left because tipping a cleaner felt like the courteous thing to do. At that point, we hadn't yet realized the extent of what had been missed. To the company's credit, the coordinator, Anna, was receptive when I contacted her and arranged for a different cleaner, Ashley, to return for a corrective cleaning. The difference with Ashley was striking. Ashley was organized and professional from the moment she arrived, personable, extremely thorough, and had excellent attention to detail. She even identified inadequately cleaned areas beyond the specific ones I had asked her to correct. For example, I pointed out only two countertop areas, but after inspecting the kitchen herself, Ashley determined that all of the countertops and stove needed additional cleaning and took care of them. Ashley also independently noticed that the bathtub and other bathroom areas had not been cleaned well during the original visit. I ultimately didn't ask her to redo the tub because she arrived around 4 PM and worked until almost 8 PM correcting the first cleaning. After nearly four hours, I didn't feel it was fair to ask her to take on even more corrective work that late in the evening. We tipped Ashley $30 and she absolutely deserved it. Unfortunately, I'm now going to have to deep-clean the tub myself, which is especially frustrating because that should have been included in the service I paid for. I have a back injury, which is one of the reasons I paid for a professional deep cleaning in the first place. Having to scrub the tub myself defeats the purpose of hiring a company for this service and creates an additional physical burden for me. If Ashley had performed our original deep cleaning, I would have been satisfied. Unfortunately, getting there required me to spend my weekend inspecting the house, documenting and photographing missed areas, communicating with the company, arranging a second appointment, and having another stranger in our home for nearly four additional hours. That's exactly the kind of work and stress I was trying to avoid by paying over $420 for a professional deep clean in the first place. After I requested an adjustment, the company initially offered a $70 credit toward a future standard cleaning. After further discussion with the owner, they instead issued a $50 partial refund, which I appreciate. So this review is really two very different experiences: the original deep cleaning was extremely disappointing and did not come close to what I expected based on the company's advertised checklist. The company's response afterward was considerably better, and Ashley was fantastic. I appreciate Anna's responsiveness, the $50 refund, and especially Ashley's hard work. But ultimately, when I'm paying a professional cleaning company more than $400 for a deep clean, I shouldn't have to inspect and document numerous missed areas, schedule nearly four hours of corrective cleaning afterward, and still be left to deep-clean my own tub because of a back injury. Ashley: 5/5. Our original deep cleaning: 1/5. Overall experience with the company: 2/5.

Review Update: After talking to Rachel, she explained that most deep cleanings don't include making…read morebeds, doing dishes, or taking the trash to the bin, so my expectations there were a bit high. She also offered to refund part of the organization fee since I decided to only do the kitchen. I really appreciate her willingness to clarify and make things right. Rachel is incredibly kind, friendly, and an absolute powerhouse when it comes to cleaning. She made my home look spotless -- every surface gleamed, everything smelled fresh, and her attention to detail in the main cleaning work was fantastic. It was such a relief walking into such a fresh, tidy space. That being said, there were a few small things that could be improved. For whatever reason, I felt like she was very rushed. The trash was left right outside the apartment without a new bag in the bin, and the dishwasher wasn't started -- small touches I've had with other cleaners in the past that make a nice difference. I had also paid for organization, originally planning to do the guest room and kitchen, but when she arrived I decided to just do the kitchen. The charge stayed the same, which I wish had reflected the smaller scope. Overall, Rachel's cleaning skills are truly excellent, and she's a joy to work with. With a little more consistency on the smaller finishing touches and more clarity in pricing, her service would be perfect. I would still recommend her to anyone looking for a deep, high-quality clean.

Dora was the absolute most thorough and diligent housekeeper that we have ever witnessed. She was on time, she did everything requested and more. The quality of the work performed was above reproach. She brought all of her own equipment, and it was top tier. This was for a three bedroom, two bathroom home that is around 1300 square feet. And everything was sparkling. The stove. The showers. The floors. The fans!! The cost was also one of the most competitive prices given during this solicitation, and The Art of Clean Agency was our first choice - and their bid was legit. We were so impressed with the job well done and Dora is an absolute Grade A human being who took her time to not just ensure we were happy with the results, but ensured we knew if there was ANYTHING we felt needed done better or was not done, to bring it to her attention. That. Was. Not. Necessary. The job was absolutely perfect and I could not give a higher recommendation for a cleaning agency. Top tier - best of the best.

Not only is she genuinely the sweetest, kindest soul, but she is absolutely impeccable at what she does. She took her time, paid attention to all the little details, and really made sure everything was actually clean rather than just rushing through to get it done. By the time she left, my home felt completely refreshed and I finally felt like I could breathe again. There is something extra special about someone who not only does an incredible job, but brings such grace, warmth, and kindness into your home while doing it. Truly, it almost feels like healing work. There is something about having someone come into your space, care for it with that much intention, and leave it lighter than they found it that just hits differently. And honestly, the experience was wonderful from start to finish. From my first inquiry, to booking, to the actual cleaning, everyone was so kind, responsive, and pleasant to work with. I genuinely could not be happier. I've tried other cleaning companies before and somehow you usually end up with at least that tiny little ping of disappointment. Something was missed, something felt rushed, something just wasn't quite what you hoped for. There was not one area of disappointment here. Excellence, excellence, excellence. Do yourself a favor and BOOK with The art of cleaning and feel free to ask for Dora, She is an absolute gem, the cutest human, and officially the person I want cleaning my home forever. 10/10. Five stars. No notes.

A few months ago I hired another service to do a deep clean with the intent of making it a more regular thing if I liked the work. But they were dismal! I ended up spending a few hours cleaning after the two guys they sent out missed a bunch of stuff that was promised. The products they used smelled so strong and lingered for days, giving me a headache for a week afterwards. It was my first time ever hiring a cleaner, though, so I thought maybe my expectations were just too high, culminating in a pretty disappointing and discouraging experience. Absolutely Clean was my second attempt at finding a service and the difference between them and the previous company was night and day. She was very sweet and professional as well. The products she used did not smell bad and the scent was mostly gone by the end of the day.
