For 11 years I have been living in constant pain, could not sleep, and tried everything (I mean EVERYTHING). 4-5 months ago I started at lifted fitness after hearing some great things. I was skeptical because my hip (broken in the car accident has never been the same). Pat/Mo/Jordan, and all the instructors have tailored the workouts by giving me modified exercises, helped me with my form, and made me feel like I can do it! After the first two months of working out, and getting stronger, my pain started to go away! (Did I mention that I have not been pain free in 11 years!) I actually started to feel stronger, and see results I had not seen since my accident. The best part of my whole time at lifted fitness is I have been sleeping through the night, pain free, for the first time since my car accident! To be able to sleep pain free has been a dream come true! I never thought I would say this, but this gym has given me my life back. Just when I thought I would never feel normal again, Pat/Mo/Jordan and all the instructors helped me to achieve things I never thought possible. I can not thank them enough! This gym is more than a gym, but a community. Everyone supports/encourages/cheers each other on! The workouts are fun, and fly by! You will not regret giving this gym a try.

Eli ran a great session: high energy, well-paced, and somehow got a bunch of coworkers to sweat together without it feeling like a corporate trust fall. Full transparency: I'm usually not a fan of classes that force you to pair up with other people (mostly because I'm lazy and prefer to suffer silently on my own), but I have to admit the partner format actually works. It's just enough accountability to keep you moving, without being overly "team-building retreat" about it. After class I took a quick lap around the facility. It's clean, well-maintained, and doesn't have that sad gym smell. Tons of class options, and now I'm very tempted by the heated yoga and the medspa... because if I'm going to work out, I'd like to be rewarded immediately afterward like a Kardashian. Everyone working there was genuinely nice and welcoming. Would absolutely take Eli's class again, and would recommend it if you want a great workout, a fun time with coworkers, or friends and the mild panic of realizing you're capable of more than you thought.

I spent so many years as a…read moreperson that felt stuck in a body that NEEDED to be exercised and NEEDED to be restricted to a certain diet in order for it to work and look the way I wanted it to. It made every workout and every meal into a high stakes situation, and I found myself yoyoing between a "nice" and a "gross" body, and beating myself up over every food and exercise-related decision I made. I couldn't make any of my strategies stick, because they ultimately placed too much stress and too much of a burden on myself to be sustainable. I started to work with Stacey with this mindset. Over time, she taught me how to make fitness and healthy eating part of my routine without letting it take over every fiber of my being and also how to have a healthier mindset when it comes to my body. On top of this healthier mindset and approach, I was able to achieve the progress and results I wanted! Her "progress not perfection" approach has changed how I approach my weight, exercise, and diet. One of the biggest things that I've gained through my time with Stacey is the ability to accept that not every bit of this fitness/healthy eating journey will be perfect, but you can always find meaningful signs of progress to keep you feeling strong. On top of all of this, she is an amazing person and trainer. She is so dedicated to her clients and works so hard to help us achieve our goals in a healthy way, and never makes you feel bad about your real life getting in the way. She is always understanding, but blunt and honest about what you need to do to get where you want to be and will always tell you the truth. She makes sure you not only focus on your workouts, but also that you focus on good recovery. Finally, you'll never leave one of her workouts (whether in the small group or larger class setting) wanting more. I can confidently say that working with Stacey is the best thing I've ever done as part of this huge, endless journey that is fitness, bar none.

I knew I hit rock bottom when I didn't go home for Christmas that year and spent it alone. I felt so guilty for being "depressed". I had a bunch of highs and low in 2015 but have been able to finally accept help personally & professionally. I came to Stacey as I was binge eating during my depression and focused on the 15lbs I had gained. My relationship with Stacey isn't about fitness really, it's about being able to be myself and not having to put on a mask. I was always timid about being me, but she has inspired me to be proud of who I am. I am so very thankful to have you in my life. You really mentally & physically helped me gain my life back!

There's currently no sign outside the building (hopefully…read morethere will be soon), but Iona was right outside the entrance and led us up to the little room. It's slightly confusing to get up to the little space that they have, but there are small signs inside the building along the stairways and hallways. The space itself it probably the size of a large bedroom and is half wood floor and half hard grippy mat material. They have a bunch of weights, rings, ropes, and a hang bar. They do have a small water bubbler next to the shoe racks with a small bench to put your belongings. I took a movement class, which was interesting and time seemed to pass fairly quickly. I signed a quick waiver and Iona promptly started the class with demonstrating some exercises across the floor. Iona explained the class puts an unconventional spin on the normal exercises you would generally do in a typical workout (squats, lunges, planks etc). This class allows you to move your body in different ways that we don't typically move in. All the exercises built off one another with varying difficulties depending on your level of mobility. Iona walked around to check in with everyone during the exercises. We also played a partner tennis ball game that put all the aspects of mobility together that definitely helps with eye-hand coordination. The class ended with "the shake", which you close your eyes and move your shoulders up and down for a solid 5 minutes. It was a really weird way to end the class and I'm not really sure what the purpose for it was. Besides the movement class, they also offer a mobility class, handstands, and open gym (early in the morning and late afternoons/evenings). They also offer personal 1:1 training for people to come in and train during open gym. Your first class is $10 with the code "bodyofwork" while your first month is $99 to take as many classes as you'd like. They also offer a 5 class pack and a monthly membership. If you live in the area and are looking for something different, then I'd give it a try.

I wanted to come and see just how upscale this Fitness Center is. To my surprise, it was super clean and spacious, with state of the art equipment, spa quality facilities, plenty of open training space including an indoor swimming pool. One of the reasons I have this love hate relationship with gyms in general is how filthy dirty it can get. Just to know the feeling of how immaculately clean is a major plus for me. This is a full service fitness center that is located in the Seaport Hotel allowing hotel guests complimentary access. This is what I would call a gym for the Elite! All in all, it's a great place with amazing views of the surrounding Seaport District. I just hope people respect the place enough to help maintain its look and keep it clean.

He set me up with exercises and dynamic stretches to help me. As my form got better, we started incorporating more strength exercises. A year later, my posture is 100x better than it was, my neck pain has disappeared, and best part of all, being strong and fit has become part of my lifestyle. I've gone from being able to barely do 5 pushups to doing 15. I'm stronger, I'm leaner, I'm more flexible, and as of late, I feel like my body can accomplish more than it ever has.
