My son hit a deer in his Elantra the night before Thanksgiving and ended up with significant front…read moreend damage. It would need a new hood, front end, and driver's side quarter panel and headlight fixture. I reached out to local friends on FB and several recommended Flick's Collision in Lisbon. I live only two miles from the shop so it was a convenient option. I called Flick's on Monday and spoke with the owner, Gene, and he told me to bring the car in. He gave me an estimated time line of about a month or so, which he said was due to the shop's current volume (deer rutting season) and what it takes to deal with insurance companies. After that, by and large, the shop handled all communications with the insurance company, including the supplemental parts lists, etc. I hadn't had a car in a body shop in 30+ years and it was eye opening to see that the Allstate claim payment actually included a list of used and aftermarket parts for the shop to buy (I naively thought that it was the collision shops that identified and sourced the necessary parts). The repair ended up taking 5 weeks to complete. Given the Christmas holiday and some difficulty obtaining parts from Allstate's sources, that didn't upset me. When my son and I went to pick up the car, while the paint work was very good, I wasn't quite happy with the fit of the replacement hood. Gene came out to the car with us and explained that aftermarket parts don't always fit like OEM parts. I could tell what he was saying was true because the contour of the aftermarket hood did not perfectly match the contour of the quarter panels so there was no way it could be made perfect. After discussing for a while though, Gene said that he would try replacing the driver's side hood hinge and see if that would help. He said he would call me when the hinge came in. A few days later he did call and we brought the car back in. The next day the car was done and we went to get it. It looked much better. Gene explained that he made adjustments to multiple parts. I give this shop 5 stars because Gene could have simply said that the original repair was as good as they could do, but he didn't. He stepped up to make sure I was satisfied. And I believe that at least the extra labor needed was at his own expense, which I greatly appreciate. Integrity and good customer service seem to be in short supply these days, but not at Flick's. Was my experience with Flick's perfect, no, but Gene genuinely wanted to make sure I was satisfied and did his best to make it happen, and that absolutely matters. Thanks, Gene!

I brought in my Infiniti QX60 after it was damaged in the snow, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. They handled everything: the bumper, the radar sensor, and even the windshield washer tank issues. They even fixed some minor dents etc. I had over the years at no extra cost. The car now looks new. The level of care, precision, and honesty was beyond anything I've experienced at a body shop. I chose not to go through insurance to avoid a premium hike, and Greg personally worked with me to make sure the repairs were done right, fairly priced, and without cutting corners. His guidance was honest, transparent, and genuinely focused on what was best for me -- not what was easiest or most profitable for the shop. That kind of integrity is rare. The craftsmanship on my QX60 is flawless. The car looks and drives like nothing ever happened. You can tell Greg takes pride in his work and treats every vehicle like it's his own. I also learned that Restivo works on Teslas, which says a lot about their technical capability and attention to detail. No one needs to know how, but I had a dent in the back of my Toyota Highlander. Not wishing to…read moreincur higher premiums, I sat with it for so long that it was a clear identifier of my car in a full parking lot. Then I decided to get it fixed, and honestly, I just went with a place close to home: Restivo. But they were so nice and I got a great price. They took care of the dent and other blemishes I had fixed while I was at it. I told them they were great, but I really hoped I would not see them again. About a year later, my new driver hit the garage with my mirror. I instantly went back to Restivo and they found the mirror and got me set up. Not only that, because I have a toddler, they were able to pick up the car and then drop it off when they were done. The mirror camera was off a little, and when I stopped by, they just seem like they drop everything for you and talk to you and access the situation. I made an appointment for them to take a look at it. The dealership had the car the day before the appointment, but I didn't have a chance to look at it after the dealer brought it to me. There was an error that not even the dealership knew what it was! But since no one seemed to know when the message came up, Adam was willing to take responsibility and help me figure out what it meant. It turned out to be the dealership not finishing the work, but I was really touched when Adam said, "Well, the car was in our possession when it popped up, so make an appointment and we'll figure it out." Sue was so patient with me calling constantly with some question or another. Thanks to Greg and anyone else I missed because I am terrible with names! I really hope no one has to use them, but if you do need a body shop, they are a choice that I am going to recommend to all my friends. But I don't want to have to go to them again!

I recently took my 2012 GMC Acadia to LARC for an oil change, coolant flush, and to have them…read moreaddress a check engine light. I also asked them to check the transmission fluid and investigate a suspension knock that I was hearing/feeling. The owner checked the car and called me and we agreed on the work to be done and the price. He explained that the knocking was due to strut and sway bar wear and I decided not to have that work done this visit as he said it wasn't a dangerous situation. When I went to pick up the car I had additional discussions with the owner and I found him to be very honest and sincere. He understood that I was reticent to sink a bunch of money into a 12 year old car. He knew I had done my own brake work and said he was confident I could do the suspension work myself and even gave me tips on how to do it. The work LARC did was done well, with quality materials, and at a fair price - not cheap, but fair. The owner also checked out an old Mazda I had and while no work was done, that experience was also very positive. Another good feature of this shop is that the station is open late so you can go in after hours and pay and pick up your car. And "The Grill" also has great food to boot. There is always an element of fear when I take my car in to have work done. Mechanics many times are in a position to take advantage of customers, and many do. So besides knowing I am going to get quality work done at LARC, I feel there is great value in knowing that I can trust that I'm going to get honest feedback and not get scammed. I feel very fortunate to have found LARC and I will definitely be using them for future work.
