The owner checked the car and called me and we agreed on the work to be done and the price. He explained that the knocking was due to strut and sway bar wear and I decided not to have that work done this visit as he said it wasn't a dangerous situation. When I went to pick up the car I had additional discussions with the owner and I found him to be very honest and sincere. He understood that I was reticent to sink a bunch of money into a 12 year old car. He knew I had done my own brake work and said he was confident I could do the suspension work myself and even gave me tips on how to do it. The work LARC did was done well, with quality materials, and at a fair price - not cheap, but fair. The owner also checked out an old Mazda I had and while no work was done, that experience was also very positive. Another good feature of this shop is that the station is open late so you can go in after hours and pay and pick up your car. And "The Grill" also has great food to boot. There is always an element of fear when I take my car in to have work done. Mechanics many times are in a position to take advantage of customers, and many do. So besides knowing I am going to get quality work done at LARC, I feel there is great value in knowing that I can trust that I'm going to get honest feedback and not get scammed. I feel very fortunate to have found LARC and I will definitely be using them for future work.

They had to do a complete rebuild on the axle. The mechanic saw that the previous owner changed the ratio and type of carrier unit. The next day it wouldn't start again so I had it towed to their garage. My car sat for two full days. They call to tell me I needed an oil change. I said I don't think that has anything to do with my car not starting. I asked if they looked at maybe the starter or the alternator....they said they can't do that until I get a new battery. I said, oh now I need a new battery also? They said, well its at 50% capacity. I said why do I need a new batter if its at 50% capacity? Don't you have a diagnostic machine you can just hook it up to and find out what's wrong? He said not until the battery voltage is correct. Well, he just told me the battery voltage WAS correct...so what's the deal here? They just don't want to look at what I'm telling them is the likely problem because...?? My Dad has been a mechanic his entire life and he told me the issue would likely be. I tell this to the mechanic and he just blows me off. I am beyond pissed. I let me car sit there for two days, had it towed there, and they do nothing. NOTHING. I absolutely do not recommend taking your vehicle here...even if it is CLOSE BY. Go to a dealer. Yes, they are more expensive but at least they will fix your car and not just let you hanging for days.

The crew and Siwan work exceptionally hard and there's a constant flow of customer base with a wide variety of brands, makes, and models. There's a ton of pros I can give off but I think the primary one is the fact that Siwan is customer first. Don't want to give all the details but just know he will take care of you because he has a perspective unlike most. There's no perfect experience and the one con I will give is their delegation of workflow. I think if there was an admin assistant to take care of majority of front of house, appointments, paperwork, etc. it would take it to another level than it already is. Siwan seems aware of this and is seeking good help to manage the flow. Nonetheless a great experience again. 5 stars

I already had a good idea of what was wrong with my car based on past experience. When I called this shop, the difference was immediate. They were professional, respectful, and didn't argue with me or try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I specifically looked for negative reviews--and there were none. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. I don't remember the technician's name, but they took great care of my foreign car, Lexi, and I'm beyond relieved not to be driving around with grinding rotors anymore.
