We bought two pairs of shoes and socks for our grandsons in two separate transactions…read more However, one transaction at 10:30 AM was interrupted with an afterthought to add socks, so there was a two minute delay to complete the transaction. Apparently, the transaction was inadvertently closed out, and then the shoes and socks were posted again. I saw the discrepancy (being charged twice for one pair of shoes) on my credit card statement, and called the store. I spoke with the store manager that researched this transaction electronic and with video tapes. What he found verified my recollection and the second charge was reversed. They also offered a store credit for my grandsons. I was glad they took the time to look into this and do the right thing. People can make mistakes. At the same time, purchasers are wise to check over their receipts and credit card statements.

If the hours had been posted correctly on the Journeys website As it says 10:00 PM i would have made it an effort to go earlier if I had known it was 9:00 PM. Regardless, i had one pair of shoes to return and would have been out of there prior to 9:00. It is bad business to close your doors prior to your closing time. I do not do a lot of reviews however upper management should have a strict policy on when they close their doors.

Last time i was here i also purchased the cutest book bag for my trip to Greece. DSW just like most retailers offer a lot of coupons via email/text if you opt for that option. I would definitely sign up if you aren't as the emails include great deals. The month of your birthday you always have $5 off a purchase. One thing about this particular location i would highlight is the fact that they only have about 2-3 registers and I swear it is always packed.

Beware. I would rate my recent experience as minus 10, were such a category available. I had only…read moregood experiences with this store for about 14 years, until May 5, when I attempted to return a pair of ordered online on May 2. The shoes were too big and when I attempted to return them on May 5 , the return was rejected with no explanation other than a rejection receipt telling me to call The Retail Equation. The shoes were unworn; undamaged; boxed, and not treated or subject to a final sale. They were returned within three days of purchase. The Retail Equation website says the retailer determines the return; the DSW manager said it's up to the Retail Equation. I have filed a complaint with the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs for violation of the statute governing , among other things, posting of return policies. I sent a certified letter to DSW on May 12, requesting a refund and explanation. I attached full documentation of the purchase and the rejection receipt . Then, I contacted my credit card company and today received a response stating DSW claims it never received communication from me about the issue, which is untrue. I sent a certified letter with documentation on May 12. Retail Equation is subject to a class action lawsuit in California for its antics with DSW and other retailers. Tread carefully if you deal with this retailer.
