I was unsure if I would recommend this place, and unfortunately there's no "maybe", as I had a very confusing experience between a very positive interaction with one staff on duty, and an extremely unpleasant one with the only other staff on duty at the time.
A friend recommended this place to me, while I was passing through town, as he had purchased items from here before. I was looking for a new bong and pipe (visiting from Alberta, I had hoped to find a better selection than back home, and I did) and was lucky to find a young man behind the counter who was incredibly helpful. He was patient, with all my annoying questions (I'm often insecure with asking these questions, but I would think that's expected with any significant purchase), and more than eager to explain the origins, works and pricing of each piece. I was impressed with the variety of items the store had, and found both a bong, and pipe, that I liked very much. At this point, I was very happy with my shopping experience. I did accept a floor item, for my bong at regular price.
Had it ended here, I would've recommended this place confidently with a "Yes", 5 stars for service and products.
When I got to the car, and unpacked my new glass in the sunlight, I noticed a few superficial scratches. Not a huge deal, but for the amount I spent at the store, I really wanted to feel 100% good about the piece that I bought so I went back, within half an hour of the purchase, asking if there was a new one in the back that I could switch it out for. The young man was at the till at the time, and he looked ready and willing to help. However, the other staff member (seemingly eager to close) insisted that he was busy and that she could help me. I explained to her what the issue was and despite having another one listed on the system, her response to me was, "The scratches will not affect its function. Would you like a refund?"
I did not take the refund because of how good of a job the young man did but was very tempted to, because of my interaction with this lady.
At a store like this, I expect to leave feeling good about my purchases. In this particular case, I left the store feeling quite insulted and not at all happy about my purchases.
In the end: "No" for recommendation (simply for the off chance that you have to interact with the same lady that I had the displeasure of meeting), and the ENTIRE 3/5 stars for the young man's service and for the variety of products available.
For reference, I visited your store on Monday, Aug 3, 2020. The transaction happened at 6:28pm.
PS: it would be great if floor models and/or damaged items came with a discount, like many retailers, but that's beside the point and a management issue: the young man explained sadly that he had no ability to discount items, even for multiple glass purchases. read more
