This has got to be the best pizza deal in town. The tourist know it, the town knows it, and you know it! For only $12; $10 for seniors, you can get unlimited fresh pizza (pepperoni, cheese, combination, etc), bread (garlic, cheese, cinnamon) and salad bar. They had green salad and other items, and four pizza choices, also cinnamon bread sticks and cheese sticks. The pizza was good but greasy. The place was very busy. We came here after spending the morning driving all over the dunes, working up an appetite. When I walked in a scoped out the selections available in the buffet, I made the executive decision that the whole family would be having the buffet as the salad options were so extensive. They also had 4-5 pizza options as well as cheese sticks and dessert sticks. The buffet price also comes with a fountain drink, so that's a good deal. When I noticed that they have a dill-pickle pizza, I asked the girl if they always have the same pizzas on the buffet or if they switch them out and she stated that they rotate as the pizzas are eaten. Sadly, I did not have the privilege of trying the dill-pickle pizza as I dreamed. However, the salad bar was as good as it looked and the pizza was very good as well. The favorite one of mine had chicken and broccoli on it and an alternative to marinara sauce [maybe ranch?]. We placed an order for a large pizza with pepperoni, onion, black olives, mushrooms and banana peppers. The pizza we received had all that plus green peppers. Now it's my bad for not looking at the pie before I left the store but it does say on the box that every order is double checked for quality and accuracy and it's supposed to be checked against the receipt. We didn't discover the error until we were back at our campsite 10 miles and 15 minutes away. As for the pizza itself, once we picked off the green peppers it was just OK. My husband and I were visiting town for Silver Lake Sand Dunes Jeep Invasion 2016 when we got a hankering for pizza. He visited a few years ago and remembered the breadsticks. The breadsticks were stuffed with pepperoni and were wonderful- not overly salty and were seasoned very well. The pizza we ordered was just as delicious, and had great distribution of flavors throughout. The only thing that seemed kind of "off" was the service. The women behind the counter were standoffish and communicated poorly. I'm not a huge fan of friendly banter, but perhaps a "welcome" or "how can I help you today?" would improve this. For example, when she brought the pizza to the table, we thanked her and received not even a glance or word in return. I know that she was able to speak, because she chatted consistently with the other girls behind the counter about the boy she likes. I know that high school students are cheap to employ, but they should know how to communicate with customers to ensure a good experience. These odd interactions are what stuck with us most about the visit. Three and a half/four stars because I'm not petty and the pizza was good. read more
