They charged me exactly what they quoted. And the guy they sent to do the job, Tamim, was a nice guy and a real artist, precise with a great eye for detail. read more

DO NOT even think about BC Floors. I had the most horrible experience with BC floors. They subcontract your project to no name subcontractors that literally have no knowledge of flooring and they will ruin your material and flooring. First off, I had to call Keit, the project manager to give me a quote, literally everyday two to three times. After a full week of calling her, she finally gave me a sloppy quote without coming to my place to see what the scope is. I had a tight schedule and made the worst mistake to pay them to do them the job. Ali, their subcontractor, damaged all of the stairs while removing the existing stairs and demanded more money. As I was deep into this mistake, I agreed. Then he installed all flooring and stairs wrong and ruined the whole floor and stairs. The stairs nosing fell off after 2 days and I noticed that it is sitting on a hollow space!!! The flooring moves when I walk on it. When I tried to explain it to Keit, such a horrible job Ali has done, she accused me that I am lying. I had to fight for days with BC floors and I still have not got my money back and I am left alone with a ruined material, flooring and stairs. I kept calling her and her boss, Nikita, and they totally ignore my calls and do not answer me. I have never experienced such horrible service and customer service. read more

Poor service. Told one price for installer and he quotes twice as much. Bought from supplier without middle party. cheaper

I was not going to write a review, but this experience was pretty awful. I was pretty excited to have BC floors come into our condo and lay some flooring for us. They had great reviews but this was the least professional transaction I've ever witnessed. Where to start? -Invoice was sloppy and incorrect. The wrong price was quoted, and after I agreed to the job, the price went up about 15%. -The time frame was estimated to be 3-4 days. It took a week for demo and install, and another 3 weeks to get baseboards and transitions installed. -The contractors were incredibly unprofessional. They provided no tools, except for a crowbar. I provided the rest, including powertools like a sawsall. -Big one - the work was substandard. there were multiple gaps, cracks and the baseboards had to be removed, sanded and repainted after they were improperly installed. -Contractors were unable to find floor transitions that matched the flooring they sold me, so I went out and purchased transitions on my own and had them installed. I complained and I received about 10% back. That was kind. For that reason, I was not going to write a review, but there was one last interaction that pushed me over the ledge. The contractor was upset about his pay being docked (I didn't know that would happen), so he called me and harassed me about it. This is not my responsibility and is incredibly unprofessional. Heed my warning. Hire anyone else but BC Floors. read more

This was my first time working with a contractor to do a small renovation in my new condo and I decided to use BC Floors. Paul was very friendly and even brought a designer over to help choose my flooring type and colour, which was much appreciated. The contractors were also very friendly and accommodating with my time schedule. The positives are that the floors were installed on time and look decent. Some of the negatives are that there were many scratches and marks left on my floor post installation (the biggest one was purposely covered with a cloth so I wouldn't notice at first), and even after they came back to fix them they had left some of the larger scratches on the floor. Also, they disconnected my stove and did not re-connect it, which is a hassle for me to get someone in to re-connect it at my expense. All in all, the experience was good, and the product turned out decent; however, I hoped that their customer service would be a little better and would offer some more help to get these marks out of my flooring. read more

As it stands, we've paid $3,500 in labour and lost $1,000 in materials for BC Floors to destroy our staircase. Keit and Nikita are dodging our calls and buying time and only giving half solutions. The latest solution was a mismatched repair where the stairs don't match the rest of our flooring. The stairs were installed 3 weeks ago and already 2 steps have come apart, with the nosing starting to peel off other stairs. The stair nosing came with a reinforcement track, the installer threw that out. Unbelievably unprofessional, not a company you want to do business with. We called them 4 days ago, they did not take our complaints seriously, until their inhouse person came by and confirmed the stairs were a disaster. They have now admitted fault, but can't provide us a timely solution, they just keep buying time. read more

Horrible experience. Tried to get Fred in for measurements / quote -- he was an hour late, and made it sound like I was inconveniencing him for having to come out and get me a quote. As he measured, he gave me negative feedback on what I wanted to do -- for some reason he thought he was entitled to an option despite me never asking for his advice. And to top it all off, after the measurements, I confirmed the floor type I wanted -- only to never hear from them again. Horrible, unprofessional company. read more

This contractor installed Altro flooring in our Community Centre. He had to come back due to problems, and charged us an additional £1000 plus. This morning he made an appointment to come and look at three outstanding problems he'd left (there was a puddle of adhesive on our pathway, and it had set solid; and the metal strips that he'd taken up between rooms had been incorrectly refitted). The appointment was for 10am. Our representative got there at 09:30, and waited an hour. Not a sign of him. When he first did the work, we gave him a key, so he could get into the building whenever he needed to do so. We've asked that it be returned, and it may not surprise you to learn that we still haven't got it. Would we use him again? Absolutely not, and if we could give him no stars at all, we would. Steer clear! read more

We made an appointment with BC Floors to discuss and provide an estimate to replace the carpet in our family room with a different type of flooring. Through communication problems, this and a subsequent appointment were not met. I was pretty frustrated with BC Flooring and expressed my frustration. I was subsequently contacted by the owner and agreed to a personal visit by himself and his salesman. They attended as agreed and we discussed our small project. Their salesman gave us excellent advice on the type of flooring that would suit our needs and showed us a number of different options. We found it easy and convenient to make our choice. Installation of the flooring went quickly and smoothly. The installers were efficient and very good at their trade. The project went smoothly and was completed within two days, a minimum time as floor leveling was required. The clean-up and disposal of the old materials was again, very well done. Thank you to BC Floors. read more

Was not able to even get a quote. Sales team kept telling me the project manager would contact me to setup an appointment, but never heard from him or her. read more

So disappointed in this advertised "top rated" flooring store. The person that came out to do the estimate was a salesperson rather than a flooring professional. He was not aware of important details regarding the work that would need to be done. He shorted the measurement of the unit by 200sq ft resulting in a lower estimate than actual cost. Despite several reminders the salesperson neglected to answer all of our questions many of which also impacted the potential cost. The quote document was extremely sloppy and incomplete. We had to contact him several times to clarify and add details and ultimately the quote was never fully inclusive of all "miscellaneous" costs and agreements. The website stated the store was open on Saturday. It wasn't! We finally gave up. Terrible! read more

Do not waste your time. Showed up 20 min late to booked appointment. Behavior was rude, snobby, awful. Very unprofessional. read more

I found/contacted these guys here off Yelp. Oleg, the project manager, was very polite, professional, and was ready to answer all my questions. The quote was reasonable, so I decided to go ahead and hire them. Floors were installed by Max - and the floors themselves look great and so far I'm satisfied. The process itself, however, wasn't as satisfactory. Our initial meeting was delayed, work was done outside strata allowed hours, and what was estimated at a 4-5 day project stretched into the 7th day (a Sunday) at which point I felt there was a big rush to finish. read more

After surviving a nightmare renovation last year, I am extremely wary of contractors and put off getting our floor repaired for months. The guys we used to install our Kentwood floors last year scratched a few boards which they removed and glued the replacement boards right to the subfloor. This caused a lot of issues with movement and crackling noises. I was quoted by a few companies that it would be at least $700 + material (approx $300) to pull up the glued down boards and install the new ones. I called BC Floors based on positive Yelp reviews and the fact that they're BBB accredited. Max came over to see my floors and was straight with me that pulling up the boards may not resolve the issue. He said he thought he could fix the crackling/squeaking with some glue. He ran down to his truck, grabbed some glue and whatever he did fixed the issue. He didn't want to charge me but I insisted on giving him some money for parking/gas as he was at my place for over an hour. This was such a different experience from the contractors I had dealt with last year. I wish we had used him to install our flooring last year as I know he would have done it properly right from the beginning. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to get their floors done right. read more

Called BC Floors to replace my existing carpet with the engineered hardwood floors in my two bedrooms. I was presented with a wide range of options and was able to choose the best suitable colour and texture for my new floor. It took a week from posted order till I had hardwood surface installed. Jobsite was left clean and floors look great. Thank you BC Floors. One great flooring company in Vancouver! Thx read more

Our floors were done last summer by Oleg and Maxim. They worked fast, clean and very professional. It is such a great and friendly team. They fixed our stairs after we dropped down a heavy furniture from upstairs to downstairs. They matched parts of wood so well, it looks great as before! They did a great job. I would definitely call them again if I will need their help in the furniture! Thank you! read more

Update to the review below..,,after calling and emailing numerous times (and receiving absolutely no response), they finally got in touch after seeing the yelp review and said that they wanted to fix the situation and that they didn't want me to have a negative experience with BC Floors. So, great! Except that almost 6 weeks later....nothing. I've spoken to the project manager 4 times, and every time he has said he is sorry....but they're so busy, I've been put on the back burner, they forgot about me, his installer is unreliable, etc. So I don't have a lot of hope that this is going to actually be resolved. In the meantime, the very expensive flooring is still peeling up from the subfloor every time the kitchen is over 20 degrees. Looks pretty awful. *** Very disappointing. I chose BC Floors because of the good reviews. We went and chose a vinyl tile for our kitchen because they said it was the best material...that the only downside was price. We wanted a quality floor, so went for this expensive choice for our kitchen. After only a couple of weeks, it started peeling up off the subfloor- over half the tiles were warping and peeling up. They sent the same installer to repair it, but after a month, the tiles have begun peeling up again. Not sure what to do....it seems inefficient to have a tradesperson come every month to re-glue the floor down. We expected a lot better for the price we paid read more

Max at BC Floors installed about 2000 SF of 3/4" Hardwood in my home, and then professionally finished the job with new 6" Baseboards throughout the Main floor. Also finishing off 2 flights of stairs, which are very solid! His custom 'transitions' in various locations were so well done, I'm still impressed with the detail!! He worked many nights to get the job done in a timely manner. In my business (Realtor), I need to bring in certain Professionals to assist my clients in making their Homes sell for the highest dollar. Max's work has been well received by all my client referrals too. Regards, Dave! read more

Could not get myself to pull the trigger on using this company. They could not keep to their quote for the job. The original quote was $4 - $6 per square foot. Then when the actual job was being booked, they say, "Oh we have a minimum price to do the job." $850 on what would have been a $600 job. What the feces? read more

Thank you for another well done project. A few months a go we had quite a big work done in our house- BC Floors did some floor repair, sanded and refinished our old floors. Now it was time for our kitchen to be updated. We had new unfinished oak floors installed and finished with a custom color. We are very happy with the results. Again, very professionally done. Thank you! read more

We had to re-carpet our bedroom and our friends recommended we call BC Floors. The guys were very helpful over the phone and then later when they came down for an estimate of work load and pricing. The installation work was pushed back a couple of times due to my hectic schedule and an unexpected business trip out of town, but they were very accommodating every time (Thanks again Maxim and Oleg!). The guys are very professional, knowledgeable and super efficient - can't say enough how easy it was to deal with them! We love our new fluffy carpet, now the room is the best-looking one in the whole house :) We just couldn't be more pleased with the results! Highly recommend to anyone in need of a "floor makeover"! read more

I tried to forget the incredible disappointment I had when BC Floors installed my new engineered hardwood floors but even now, months later I am still trying to get over the experience so I thought I would review them here. I think I was lied to from the start about everything. There was to be a team that started at 9 but one guy came at 11 on the first day and all he said was that everything I asked could not be done or there was a problem with everything. I was told it would take 4 days but it took 7 and not everything was done. The place was covered with a thick layer of fine dust everywhere that I had to clean up. The dust was so fine it clogged up my vacuum and I had to get it fixed. The first installer broke the ceramic bathroom floor tile which was not being replaced by putting his metal pry bar on it and then hitting it with a hammer when he was trying to lift the transition, then blamed it on the transition being glued (it wasn't). I was told BCFloors would fix it but they stopped answering my emails. I told them I didn't want transitions to the bedrooms but they put them in anyway. In one place the flooring did not go close enough to the wall so there was a huge gap that had to be filled with wood putty. Some of the bifold doors on the closets are broken and when I complained I was told they are just cheap doors and they can't do anything about that. I was told that I would come back to a place that was ready to live in instead it was a construction site that I had to clean up. So my advise is to avoid them at all costs and don't believe anything they say. I still need to replace my bathroom floor but it won't be them who do it. read more
