The WORST medical service I have ever experienced. I was waiting for this appointment for more…read morethan 6 months. When I came for my appointment with Dr. Muir, she wasn't there, and the other doctor was covering her shift. The receptionist didn't even call me to say that I will be seeing a different doctor. Following the appointment, I got a referral for an ultrasound to check my cyst and went for the ultrasound, but never got the results. When I finally called Dr Muir's office, they told me I need to follow up with my family doctor, so I did. My family doctor never received the results either. What a disaster and a waste of time! I also had had swab test done at Dr Muir's and the result didn't show up anything because the lab said not enough material collected. I asked to repeat the test and got an answer that I should just take antibiotics instead to treat whatever symptoms I had, without knowing what condition I had because the test didn't work. I had to schedule another test after a referral from my family doctor. Don't forget that waiting time to be seeing is 6-9 month (accordingly Affinity Women's Health Shannon Soga, Office Manager)!!!!! What's wrong with these people at this clinic and the whole system in general??? None of the people seem to have the intention to do good work or explain anything to the patient about the actual treatment. Also very unprofessional staff at the reception desk; very indifferent and negligent in their behavior!

Her office lost the booking and messages for her all her patients for a few months. She blames the phone company for it. no ownership, no sense of urgency. everybody have to lineup again. Yes, all the lost bookings now go to the back of the line. 2. She have no sense of ownership. The family doctor have sent MRI results to her. she claimed to have never received it. But it was sent to her three times. We have to keep asking to get her to look again. Then like magic, suddenly she finds it. no apologies given 3. She is not knowledgeable. She prescribes injections without giving the details, side effects, time frame, mode of dispense. She just gave the prescription and that was it. We have to look up everything on line ourselves. My wife is very sure about her condition. She argues with my wife with the diagnosis. My wife knows more than her about the details and eventually she says, "oh... right that makes sense". Yes, the doctor should know how to do their job. But no doctor should argue with their patients. 4. She rolls her eyes at you. Yes, she rolls her eyes at you as you are explaining your symptoms and condition. This speaks volumes about her professionalism and her attitude. This should never be an issue. The patients lives are at risk here. If a doctor no longer wants to be a doctor for whatever reason, give the job to someone who wants it. 5. Her incompetence will impact your surgery date and your health. Due to her incompetence, my wife surgery is now in a indefinite waitlist. *** if your family doctor refer you to Julie Wood, change specialist as soon as possible. Run away if you have to. No one deserves this kind of treatment.

If it weren't for my back being in immense pain and this being the closest walk in clinic in my area and my family doctor being completely booked for the month, I may not have gone based off of the reviews, however I am very glad that I did go. My experience is mine only and I know when people are stressed and distraught that emotions can be quite high and sensitive and I would feel the exact same way if my needs weren't met but given my visit today I was very pleased with the service that I received from both the reception (3 employees I think one was being trained) and Dr. Khangura. The staff that were working today were very kind and clear with me as I was a new patient. They all wore masks and took each patient's temperature. I waited around 20 minutes before the doctor saw me as they were previous appointments ahead of me which didn't bother me as I knew I was going for a walk in versus scheduling an actual appointment. The doctor was very kind and patient with me which I really appreciated because I was in great pain. She took the time to explain things with me and I didn't feel rushed at all during my visit. In all honesty, if I didn't already have a wonderful family doctor I would probably want to get her as mine because of how attentive and calm she was. I think empathy goes along way and having a medical practitioner that cares is often, unfortunately, uncommon and should be really valued. I will also note that while I was waiting to see the doctor another individual had come by to drop off Christmas gifts for the reception staff and the doctor which was quite nice to see. I also overheard a phone call from one of the reception staff and it was very warming to me to hear how personable and friendly he was with her.

My wife was trying for 10 days to get a new perscription. I had to drive there myself after my wife having no blood pressure pills for 2 days to find out what is going on. The guy gave me the perscription. I went to the Pharmacy and turns out this one was old and over 2 months old. So he gave me another one and it was the wrong pill. Got another week of pills for wife to find a reliable walk in clinic. The pharmacy said they heard many stories now about the new management in this clinic. I feel bad I had to leave one star. There should be a Zero star option.

We saw her twice for an ADHD assessment for my son who was 4 and 6 at each session. While I found her testing thorough, I found her mannerisms strange and aggressive. First of all, she closes her eyes when she speaks to you so she doesn't look at you for the 1.5 hours you're in the room with her, which is odd in itself. She was not very thoughtful or kind in her words towards my son, who was being assessed for ADHD. She uses blunt and slightly aggressive language when talking about your child, who is sitting right there listening to everything she is saying. My son left the last visit, at age 6, feeling like he was a bad child, like something was wrong with him and he started crying in the room as she talked about him and this diagnosis. It looked like she got a kick out of upsetting him as she was smirking the whole time he was crying, while using aggressive words to describe his "condition" that personally I would not say in front of a 6 year old. I am writing this review because my son was affected so negatively by this doctor's behavior for MONTHS. He is very smart and articulate, and she left him feeling so depressed and negative about himself for literally months, because of the way she talked about him having ADHD in that session. There was nothing I could say or do to console him or lift his spirits. She beat him down during this visit-mind you this is a 6 year old! and used an ADHD diagnosis to make him feel worthless. I was so shocked that we refused to return for any further testing or send documents to this clinic as my son was traumatized by this visit so badly. 3 years later, we took my son for a private assessment for Autism, which we discovered he is ASD-1. So if you have a sensitive child, who may be on the spectrum, who is very smart but struggling in some areas, DO NOT see this doctor. She will negatively impact your child. She is rude, disrespectful, thoughtless, and should not be working with children. Not to mention her bed side manner is just odd and uncomfortable. She doesn't make you feel good, she will hurt your child's feelings-on purpose! and get a kick out of it. I am making a complaint to the BC Physicians and Surgeons over this as well, I'm that disturbed by this doctor's behavior.
