Our food orders were based on other Yelp reviews praising the rubs here: We ordered a normal spare ribs (pork) classic dry rub (comes with salad and two sauces (similar to ranch and thousand island) and a normal mixed. We ordered a baked potato on the side to share, which comes with garlic butter. They also brought plain bread slices on the side. The pork ribs were both tender and flavorful. My husband liked the classic dry rub better than the smoked. The salad was crispy thanks to celery slices. The garlic butter on the baked potato was creamy, strong, and addictive.. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. When we left, we asked the mamager where the sister bar was located exactly and he directed us across the street to Cafe GDG.the adventure continues! The restaurant is upstairs and you have a nice view of the Leidseplein square down below and I like the interior. Everything is cooked with the big green egg (hence the name) and it was really tasty. They also serve the Brouwerij 't IJ IPA beer which I became a fan of. Service was very friendly, and reasonably fast (I was not in a hurry). After a long day at the Keukenhof gardens, we decided to drive to the beach to show them what a Dutch beach looks like, so this was totally spontaneous. They sat us immediately, moved the big umbrella so we weren't baking in the sun (even though most Dutch love that). This is a beautiful beach club. The inside is wonderful and the bathroom, although small, is very modern and clean. We only had a few borrel items. It's not your typical bar food though. The bitterballen was only 2 per order, so not cheap. They were good though. You will need to reach out to get them to your table, don't be shy, give them a little wave or quiet "pardon" when they walk by. They forgot to bring me a glass of wine I ordered, but I didn't really need it anyway, so when we noticed they billed it for us after we paid by card, they immediately went inside and returned with cash to refund us. Such good friendly service. Noordwijk is beautiful and classy, so this beachclub didn't disappoint. It was a great first impression to my friends.
