You know that feeling when you walk into an office, see the bright smile of the person at the front…read moredesk and immediately feel a little more at ease? That was exactly how I felt walking into Park Family Dental. And for me, that's a BIG deal because I have pretty extreme dental anxiety from a childhood dental trauma. I originally went to Park Family Dental for a cleaning and a cosmetic consultation with Dr. Long, who I had researched extensively beforehand. The practice already had thousands of amazing reviews, but what really stood out to me was that Dr. Long is the only AACD Accredited cosmetic dentist in the area. That was especially important to me because I knew my case could be a little more complicated due to my childhood injury, and I really wanted someone with that level of training and expertise handling the cosmetic side of my treatment. My hygienist, Catalina, was so sweet and patient. She knew how nervous I was and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed the entire time. As it turned out, my case was definitely more complicated than I expected. What started as a cleaning and cosmetic consult uncovered a longstanding infection that I had absolutely no idea was there and ended up requiring some pretty extensive dental work. Being a medical professional myself, I was immediately impressed by the level of clinical expertise in this office. They were able to do a 3D CT scan right there, and I was able to consult with Dr. Macedo, who specializes in endodontic procedures. I ultimately needed multiple root canals as well as an apicoectomy with bone grafting. Dr. Macedo and her assistants, Miranda and Mary, were amazing. I honestly never knew it was possible to inject dental anesthetic without feeling a thing until Dr. Macedo did it! She and her team were incredibly gentle, patient and thorough and somehow made procedures that sounded absolutely terrifying to me go incredibly smoothly. Once all of that was taken care of, Dr. Long and his assistants Katia and David worked on the restorative and cosmetic part of my treatment, including the numerous crowns I needed. One of the things that really sets this office apart is that they have an on-site dental lab, which meant their ceramist, Lance, was able to be directly involved in creating my final smile. Lance is truly an artist. He and Dr. Long personally worked with me to make sure we got the shape, color and overall look exactly where I wanted it. I am honestly in awe of how my smile has been transformed. After everything that needed to be done, the final result is more than I could have hoped for. I won't go so far as to say I actually look forward to going to the dentist , but in just a few short weeks, the entire team at Park Family Dental managed to put fears I've had since childhood almost completely at ease. Considering they got me through root canals, an apicoectomy, bone grafting and extensive restorative and cosmetic dental work during that time, that is saying A LOT! I really can't say enough about this office. From Loyse at the front desk, to Catalina, Dr. Macedo, Miranda, Mary, Dr. Long, Katia, David and Lance, I felt like everyone genuinely cared about both the medical outcome and making sure I was comfortable throughout the process. If you are looking for an exceptional cosmetic dentist, have a complicated dental case, or are someone who has dental anxiety like I do, I cannot recommend Park Family Dental enough.

Long story short, I found this practice on Yelp. They had fabulous reviews. I called and got an appointment within two days (it was not an emergency). Dr. Christopher Stanosheck thoroughly evaluated my tooth and crown. Luckily, he was able to re-cemented it back in place! It was good I went in, because I had bacteria and debris that had worked its way under the crown and it was irritating my gum, etc. He was able to clean that out and probably saved me from getting an infection and having a much bigger problem. Dr. Stanosheck was very kind as well as knowledgeable, and his office staff was extremely nice and welcoming. I would recommend this practice to anyone without reservation.

I have always been a little self-conscious about my smile but absolutely terrified of the dentist…read more I would avoid going at all cost! For this reason, I never pursued the option of straightening my teeth. That is.. until I met Dr. Debi Strand. Debi and I first met at a networking lunch event through the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. I thought that I was a busy bee until I met her! We began to see each other everywhere and quickly became great friends. Hearing her talk about her product and the impact that it makes on peoples lives was inspiring and I knew I wanted to give it a shot! So we did a consultation and before I knew it I was wearing braces!! Entering the office of Dr. Debi is unlike any experience I have ever had. It certainly does not feel like a dental office. Beautiful wood floors, meticulously laid tiles in the bathroom, dental chair that massages you, bright open and cheerful.. She put a lot of thought into her patient experience. I have to say that I have never enjoyed ANYTHING about going to the dentist but going to see Dr. Debi was a pleasurable experience. Spending time there was anything but uncomfortable.. in fact.. it was a lot of unexpected fun!!! I looked forward to the "chair talk" and seeing the drastic results from visit to visit. What makes the experience so much fun is how excited Dr. Debi is to show you your results (which are absolutely unbelievable). What people wait years for with regular braces and Invisalign can be accomplished in a matter of months with Dr. Debi. I cannot say that the experience was not uncomfortable... but after each visit and seeing my before and after pictures... it has been 100% worth it. No one can say that Dr. Debi does not know what they are going through when she puts these braces on! She had them put on herself so she could "walk in her patient's shoes and truly understand their concerns". What an amazing thing to do for your clients! I highly recommend Dr. Debi Strand. She is an amazing dentist. Her expertise and professionalism are one to be reckoned with. You will be amazed with the quick transformation and extremely impressed with your results! I was! I got my braces off today and I could not be a happier girl! It only took 4 months for my teeth to straiten with Dr. Debi and now I have a perfect, beautiful smile! I cannot thank her enough!! I really wanted to do this for myself... Do something nice for myself. Working with Dr. Debi was one of the best decisions that I have ever made and now I have a perfect smile! Yes, it is very disheartening that a client/customer of over seven years that Julia would simply state that she did the best that she could with the canvass that she had and that my situation was NOT correctable. That alone meant that there was no more "glady to work with you and address your concerns". Meanwhile, check out the updated pic of my new teeth that were "not correctable". It has become nothing but push, push, push for additional services other than typical twice a year cleanings. I like Dr. Mourselas and think he is a good dentist but ... I echo the sentiments of Stephanie G, Abigail K, Kjellaug Y, and Pete M. The first cleaning I had with Hygienist Alyson (a year or two ago) went the same as Stephanie describes - - Alyson was rude, unprofessional, condescending and has a nasty bedside manner. She is not pleased to have to deal with any medical issues a client may have. Due to vertigo and sinus problems, I am unable to be reclined back as far as she would like, yet she has no concern for anything but her own comfort. Likewise, the appointment setter, Claudia, is rude and obnoxious, stating that she told you something last time you were there, when she DID NOT. I was called less than a week before my six month cleaning and told that it would be a deep cleaning as discussed. They "mentioned" wanting to do it; but I NEVER AGREED to it - - and now they say they will no longer treat me if I don't have it done. I asked to speak with the dentist by phone and was told that I would have to make an appointment to see him in person, rather than a telephone call. I really only wanted to speak to him further about the procedure itself and privately question his staff's behavior, but because of Claudia's rudeness and pushiness, I decided to come here to let everyone know about my feelings publicly. Additionally, during the last visit, the dentist mentioned a small light colored area near one of my teeth near the gum (it has been there for years) and the dentist gave me a card to go see his buddy, a dental surgeon, to have a look at it. Two years ago, they stopped taking my insurance (claiming it was a slow payer), but I loyally stayed with them, and submitted repayments to my insurance myself for reimbursement; so now, all of a sudden, Claudia calls me a week before my appointment telling me I have good insurance and it will only be $35 for the deep cleaning. Furthermore, they will no longer treat me if I don't get it done. Could it be that they lost so many long-time clients they decided to again take my insurance? Working the system much? Poor business practices at the very least.

He suggested I get it done before the end of the year, but he had no availability to extract the tooth. The x-rays and consult was $190. He recommended Dr. Moe, an oral surgeon to extract the tooth. They scheduled an appt. for me today and Dr. Moe's office called me yesterday. They said they will need to take x-rays, as the ones they received from Dr. Makram's office weren't good enough (seeing a theme here) and they might need to do a "360?" x-ray? Dr. Moe's office said they will need to charge me another $210 for a consultation and x-rays and I will have to come back for the extraction. I really question the integrity and ethics going on here of both offices. Every x-ray isn't good enough.
