I have always been a little self-conscious about my smile but absolutely terrified of the dentist. I would avoid going at all cost! For this reason, I never pursued the option of straightening my teeth. That is.. until I met Dr. Debi Strand. Debi and I first met at a networking lunch event through the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. I thought that I was a busy bee until I met her! We began to see each other everywhere and quickly became great friends. Hearing her talk about her product and the impact that it makes on peoples lives was inspiring and I knew I wanted to give it a shot! So we did a consultation and before I knew it I was wearing braces!! Entering the office of Dr. Debi is unlike any experience I have ever had. It certainly does not feel like a dental office. Beautiful wood floors, meticulously laid tiles in the bathroom, dental chair that massages you, bright open and cheerful.. She put a lot of thought into her patient experience. I have to say that I have never enjoyed ANYTHING about going to the dentist but going to see Dr. Debi was a pleasurable experience. Spending time there was anything but uncomfortable.. in fact.. it was a lot of unexpected fun!!! I looked forward to the "chair talk" and seeing the drastic results from visit to visit. What makes the experience so much fun is how excited Dr. Debi is to show you your results (which are absolutely unbelievable). What people wait years for with regular braces and Invisalign can be accomplished in a matter of months with Dr. Debi. I cannot say that the experience was not uncomfortable... but after each visit and seeing my before and after pictures... it has been 100% worth it. No one can say that Dr. Debi does not know what they are going through when she puts these braces on! She had them put on herself so she could "walk in her patient's shoes and truly understand their concerns". What an amazing thing to do for your clients! I highly recommend Dr. Debi Strand. Dentistry, in particular orthodontia, are not words usually synonymous with "pleasantry"! I cannot think of too many people who look forward to going to the dentist, myself included and probably because we associate it with discomfort or bone-chilling noises or incredibly large bills! Having worn braces in my youth, for many years, I had memories of the ugly metal, painful wires and rubberbands. Obviously they were not particularly pleasant memories! Unfortunately, like many people, I did not wear my retainers and after almost thirty years my teeth had shifted significantly. My smile was not something I was comfortable with, even though I did a lot of it. I had thought about doing something about it for several years, researching Invisalign and traditional braces, but it was just too much of a commitment and quite frankly too expensive for me. I had pretty much resigned myself to the "not-so-perfect" smile. Enter Dr. Debi Strand. Dr. Strand regularly attended the networking breakfast that I host. After several months (she didn't push, I approached her), she and I spoke about my teeth and my concerns and she invited me to her office for a complimentary consultation. The first thing I noticed was that her office (and it almost feels like "office" is not the appropriate word to use) had the same feeling as entering a spa. So the next visit, they were on and truly with only minimal pain the first couple of days. The best part ... no one even noticed I had braces unless I told them! I read another review which said "she looked forward to their chats" and that is so true! Dr. Debi becomes more than just your dentist, she becomes your friend. So while you are in the chair staring up at the beautiful stained glass on the ceiling you forget that you are having wires tightened and you really feel like you are hanging out with a girlfriend. Dr. Debi is wonderful! I went to her for a cosmetic correction for my front tooth. I had a couple other consultations set up but after I met her & saw her beautiful, relaxing office environment I cancelled with the others. She, along with her wonderful assistant, Peggy, made me feel very comfortable every visit. Although her waiting room is beautiful, I can honestly say I have no idea what it's like to sit there. Because of their individualized appointment scheduling, I was always taken back right away. I was told it would probably be 6 months for my correction with braces & I had my braces off 3 days before my 6 month mark. Dr. Debi corrected a couple things I didn't even notice along with the reasons I came in the first place. I found out quickly she is great at her job & a perfectionist.
